KCNA Slashes War Exercises under Cloak of 'Defense'

Pyongyang, February 4 (KCNA) -- The United States is set to stage DPRK-targeted joint military exercises Key Resolve and Foal Eagle together with the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors.

The war maneuvers to be kicked off allegedly calling for somebody's self-restraint in "provocations" are nothing but high-handed actions to justify its saber-rattling for aggression.

The projected reckless joint military maneuvers are aimed to establish the sphere of politico-military domination over the Korean Peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia.

It is clear even to a mere child that the real aim of Key Resolve is not to cope with "a limited war to be provoked by someone" as it is to involve hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops, south Korean puppet forces and forces of satellite countries. It is also evident that Foal Eagle, too, is not exercises of defensive nature as it is three-dimensional drills for mobile and special operations in land, air and seas.

The projected joint war maneuvers will include joint landing operation between the U.S. and south Korean marine corps, the largest-ever in decades, to be staged across south Korea. This clearly proves the offensive nature of their saber-rattling.

No one can vouch that the above-said saber-rattling to be staged in the peninsula and waters around it would not lead to a new war.

When aggressors trumpet about "defense," they precisely mean a declaration of a war.

The service personnel and people of the DPRK are watching with vigilance the highly disturbing moves of aggressors in the peninsula and waters around it and, when a chance presents itself, they will never miss it but root out the very source of national misfortune and regional instability through a merciless punishment. -0-
