ASSPUK. BGSJI , KFA UK and BSCPRKP support stand of DPRK to bolster self-defence capablities

The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),, the British Group for the Study of the  Juche Idea(BGSJ)) , the Korean Friendship Association of the UK ( KFA UK) and the   British Solidarity Committee for the Peace and Reunification in the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement in support of the stand of the DPRK on bolstering up self-defence capabilities ;

On the 30th of May Marshal Ri Pyong Chol, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea explained the stand of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on bolstering up the capability of the DPRK for self-defence.

As Marshal Ri Pyong Chol explained that the US and south Korea are holding massive war exercises in south Korea and are also pushing forward with the so-called Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) which aims at a sea blockade of the DPRK.

 The US imperialists and south Korean puppets are staging the largest-ever live-fire drill at Phochon, Kyonggi Province of south Korea adjacent to the Military Demarcation Line. This is a most serious threat to People's Korea.

The US will also launch the so-called PSI against the DPRK which involves south Korea, Japan, Australia, the UK and other countries. The PSI is about blockading the DPRK at sea and is actually illegal under international law.

The US imperialists have also carried out unprecedented aerial espionage against the DPRK. mobilizing spy planes of various types including the RC135S.As observed by Marshal Ri Pyong Chol "Such air reconnaissance extremely overheating the military tensions in the region clearly show the sinister intention of the U.S.-led allied forces to carry out the plan for a preemptive military act against the DPRK, based on overwhelming reconnaissance and information force, in an emergency. And it also fully proves how the enemy is making preparations for the military act of aggression on the DPRK." This shows the profoundly serious nature of the situation.

On top of all the above, the US is actively deploying nuclear strategic assets on the Korean peninsula.

Given the extreme threats to the DPRK, it is only just that it should bolster its self-defence capabilities in order to defend its existence, its independence and the Juche-based socialist system. Marshal Ri Pyong Chol states that the DPRK will soon launch Military Reconnaissance Satellite No 1 and that there will be a future expansion of the DPRK's reconnaissance abilities . Moreover, the war deterrent will also be expanded.

We support the stand of the People's Korea to further increase its self-defence capabilities to defend itself from US imperialist and south Korean puppet aggression.
