DPRK's History of Self-reliance (3)

Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- The heroic anti-Japanese revolutionary war led by President Kim Il Sung proved the truth in practice that the sovereignty of each country and nation could be defended and achieved only by their own independent effort and indomitable struggle.

Proceeding from the independent stand that the Korean revolution should be done by the Korean people's own efforts in keeping with the reality of their country, the President set forth an original line of the anti-Japanese armed struggle and founded the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA), the first Juche-type revolutionary armed force.

Famous works, published by him in each period and stage of the anti-Japanese revolution like "The Tasks of Korean Communists", are run through with strong independent spirit, the idea of self-reliant independence.

In particular, the Dahuangwai Meeting held in Juche 24 (1935) was recorded as a historic meeting at which the independent stand of the Korean revolution was firmly adhered to.

At the meeting, the President stressed that to struggle for the victory of the Korean revolution is the independent rights and sacred duty of the Korean communists and people which no one can block or substitute for.

The KPRA dynamically conducted a work to prepare the final decisive battle against the Japanese imperialists with the firm faith of independence, holding high a slogan "Let us carry out the Korean revolution by our own efforts!" set forth by the President in 1941.

The liberation of Korea by dint of independent force was the principle the President consistently maintained in the whole period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

To this end, the President organized many armed units throughout the country to build military bases for all-people resistance in the enemy rear.

And, on this basis, he ordered the KPRA, which was strengthened as the leading force of the anti-Japanese armed struggle, to launch a general offensive and the armed resistance organizations to join in it in August 1945, and Korea was liberated from Japan's colonial rule on August 15, 1945.

This great historic achievement was brilliant victory gained by the effort of the Korean nation itself according to the independent revolutionary spirit and Juche-oriented revolutionary line set forth by the President. -0-
