The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK , the Juche Idea Study Group of England and the UK Korean Friendship Association held a successful meeting on the 1st of April in central London to celebrate the Day of the Sun , the 105th anniversary of the birth off the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG and the 85th anniversary of the foundation of the Korean People's Army.It was attended by members of the ASSPUK,JISGE and UK KFA , members of the New Communist Party including general secretary Andy Brooks and members of the Central Committee. The meeting was honoured by the presence of representatives of the DPRK Embassy in London .
Dr Dermot Hudson opened the meeting saying that the Day of the Sun and the 85th anniversary of the foundation of the Korean People's Army were keynote anniversaries of the DPRK celebrated by the world people . It is important to celebrate these anniversaries to demonstrate our total solidarity with People's Korea and the Juche Idea. Dr Hudson read out messages of greetings from KFA Spain, KFA USA and the KFA Switzerland and the Swiss Juche Idea Study Group to the meeting. Dr Hudson read out the contribution of David Munoz De Castro UK KFA Organisation which read in part "The Day of the Sun, anniversary of the birth of the Great Leader, President Kim Il Sung is not only celebrated by the Korean people, but also celebrated by the communists and progressive people around the world. The great leader was undoubtedly the greatest example of ideal and humanity in uniting an entire people in their struggle for independence and socialism. The Great Leader faced from the very young age the problem of misery and slavery of Korea by the Japanese imperialism and the division and lack of struggle of the Korean people."
Comrade Kim Song Gi , Minister Counsellor of the DPRK Embassy in London addressed the meeting . He said that the DPRK is firmly based on the revolutionary traditions of Mt Paektu started by the great leader President KIM IL SUNG . Now the Korean people are successfully implementing the twin line of developing the economy and nuclear force in parallel under the wise leadership of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN.
Dr Dermot Hudson made the keynote address on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the birth of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG he said that " The achievements of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung are so great and so numerous that it is impossible to list them within a single article or even a book or indeed many books. I will just list a few of his achievements, creation of the Juche idea, his role as a great outstanding military commander and the building of independent Juche-based socialism. I think these three areas actually constitute a solid core of comrade Kim Il Sung's life and work but of course there are others. The Juche idea authored by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung is now known throughout the world. Seminars on it take place all over the world from Lima to London ,from Maputo to Moscow. It is an idea that fully embodies the hopes and aspirations of the world people for independence, to live as masters of their own fate. It inspires the oppressed and toiling masses everywhere. It is an idea which is both simple and complex...Socialist Korea is the greatest and durable legacy bequeathed by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung. Lets us study more deeply the achievements of People's Korea, the Juche idea and the revolutionary activities and life of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung.GLORY TO THE ETERNAL MEMORY OF THE GREAT LEADER COMRADE KIM IL SUNG ! "
Andy Brooks general secretary of the New Communist Party spoke fondly of his recollection of meeting the great leader President KIM IL SUNG in 1990 and spoke of the achievements of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG in liberating Korea from Japanese rule and building socialism.
Alexander Meads KFA UK Commissar spoke about the anniversary of the foundation of the Korean People's Army by the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG had said that the KPA was founded as the Juche-orientated revolutionary armed force based on the Juche -oriented revolutionary military idea of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG. President KIM IL SUNG set forth the idea that soldiers determine the outcome of war not weapons . The KPA is an internationalist army that gave assistance to the fighting people of Vietnam by sending 200 pilots and also to Egypt and Zimbabwe . The KPA is now equipped with its own nuclear deterrent. Dr Hudson said that the election of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL as chairman of the National Defence Commission 24 years was a reflection of the deep trust in the Korean people for him and the conferment of the title of Generalissimo on the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG 25 years was a reflection of his work in leading the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK .
Referring to the 5th anniversary of the election of the dear respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN as supreme leader of the DPRK Dr Hudson said " Dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un has brilliantly followed in the footsteps of the great leaders generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and sticks to the line of independence, Songun and socialism. Under the Songun revolutionary leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un , the supreme leader of the DPRK the Korean people under the great red banner of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism will finally defeat the US imperialists and reunify Korea !" "
Participants in the meeting denounced US war moves against the DPRK and praised the Songun policy. Speakers denounced the US for threatening a pre-emptive strike on the DPRK but pointed out that this would lead to the ruin of the US. A letter to the dear respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN was adopted. A resolution upholding the expulsion of anti-KFA traitor Daniel Braggins was approved by the meeting. An exhibition of works of the great leaders comrade KIM IL SUNG , KIM JONG IL and respected Marshal KIM JONG UN plus publications of the JISGE, UK KFA and ASSPUK was held. Refreshments were served. Meeting concluded at 5pm
