Association(UK KFA) and the UK Preparatory Committee For the 2017
Gathering
to Praise the Great Persons Born of Mt Paektu issued a joint statement
in suppor of the indictment of the Institute of International Studies
of the DPRK which was published on the 18th of October:
The
imposition of sanctions should always be considered an act of war. The
DPRK Institute of International Studies points out the sanctions against
the DPRK by the US and its so-called "allies" (actually lackeys and
stooges)actually go against the UN charter and are a violation of
international law. So basically it is rubbish to say that the DPRK has
broken international laws by conducting nuclear tests and launching
satellites when it is the US and those who kowtow to it who actually
gone against the letter and the spirit of the UN charter and violated
international laws .
As the indictment of the DPRK Institute
of International Studies trenchantly points out " If nuclear tests,
satellite launch and ballistic rocket test-fire pose
"threat to international peace and security", the permanent member
nations of the UN Security Council which have so far conducted at least 2
000 nuclear tests, launched more than 7 000 satellites and carry out
over 10 000-km range inter-continental ballistic missile launch tests on
a regular basis should be indicted".
We also ask where the UN and US sanctions for India, Pakistan , Israel and others that have carried
out nuclear tests Both India and Pakistan tested nuclear weapons but without the furore kicked up by
the
US imperialists even though a nuclear exchange between the densely
populated countries of India and Pakistan would be extremely costly in
terms of human lives.
The DPRK's nuclear deterrent is solely
for the defence of the territorial intregity, independence and
sovereignty of the DPRK.There is no reason for anyone to impose
sanctions on the DPRK.The sanctions are really aimed at stifling the
socialist system of the DPRK .However the sanctions of the imperialists
and reactionaries can never arrest the independent Juche-based
development of the DPRK which advances under the banner of
self-reliance.
Nevetheless the imposition of sanctions on the
DPRK by the US, UNSC, UK, EU and others as a criminal act and a warlike
act that contravenes international law. It is an arbitary and
dictatorial act by the US imperialists and the international
reactionaries which should be duly exposed. We call for the revocation
of all sanctions on the DPRK whether by the UN, US , UK or others.
