DPRK Papers Calls for Consolidating Revolutionary Power through Elections of Deputies to Local People's Assemblies

Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- Papers of the DPRK Sunday editorially observe the day of elections of deputies to local people's assemblies.
Today's elections of deputies to provincial (municipal), city (district) and county people's assemblies mark an important occasion in further consolidating local power organs and giving spurs to the building of a thriving nation as required by the new historic era, Rodong Sinmun says, and goes on:
The elections are an important political work for demonstrating the intense loyalty and single-minded unity of the people to devotedly defend the Juche-oriented idea of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu on power building and their exploits and add glory to them.
The elections are of weighty significance in further strengthening local power organs at all levels and dynamically stepping up the building of a thriving nation.
The candidates for deputies to local people's assemblies registered at all constituencies and sub-constituencies throughout the country are ardent patriots who have devotedly served the people, dedicating themselves to the country and its people, true to the idea and leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea.
All voters should actively turn out as one in the elections to achieve the prosperity of the country, consolidate the people's power and thus fulfill their duties as citizens of the DPRK.
All citizens should take part in the elections with their firm faith to achieve eternal prosperity of the DPRK under the leadership of Marshal
Kim Jong Un.
The editorial calls for making the elections an occasion of strikingly demonstrating the dignity and spirit of great Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's Korea dynamically advancing under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
Minju Joson also calls on all people to take part in the elections to further consolidate the revolutionary power and powerfully demonstrate once again the dignity and might of the DPRK under the leadership of Kim Jong Un. -0
