The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK , the Juche Idea Study Group of England and the UK Korean Friendship Association today issued the following statement in support of the DPRK's stance regarding the negative actions of the "UN Security resolution " as expressed by the statement of the DPRK Foreign Ministry of the 17th of April.
The UNSC does not have the authority or place to pass resolutions or issue statements on the DPRK's satellite launch as this is the independent and sovereign right of the DPRK. Indeed it is abnormal that the US and UNSC should take issue with the satellite launch and kick up a fuss. Many countries in the world have launched satellites or even tested ICBMs without a single peep coming out of the UNSC. The fact that the UNSC has chosen to involve itself in this issue simply demonstrates that the UNSC is just a mouthpiece of the US imperialists and other imperialists and big powers. It is pursuing an unjust and one sided. The previous UNSC resolutions referred to in the "presidential statement" were rejected by the DPRK and are illegal ones. Rather than acting as fair organisation , the UNSC is indeed following a highly discriminatory anti-DPRK policy, if equality and diversity laws were applied to international affairs then the US and UNSC would be breaking them many times over. All the UNSC "presidential statement goes to prove is that the UNSC is simply a policy instrument of the US ,that is a vehicle for the US to stifle Korean-stye socialism centred upon the popular masses.
The "presidential statement " of the UNSC rather than contributing to the relaxation of tension and building peace simply complicates the situation and creates more tension. This shows the poor face of the UNSC.
Our organisations support the three points made by the DPRK Foreign Ministry. It is the independent and sovereign right of the DPRK to pursue a satellite programme which no one should interfere in or take issue with . We applaud the DPRK's stance in no longer being bound by the February 29th statement, we believe that anyway the DPRK can resolve some matters on the basis of self-reliance rather than the illusory 'assistance' of the US.
