Completed with the sculpture of a mother lifting up her baby in her arms, Okryu Children’s Hospital is a monumental masterpiece born of great Kim Jong Un era when the upbringing of younger generation is given top priority by the Party and the State as the most important policy and revolutionary undertaking. It is also an era of great innovation marked with unreserved dedication. The Hospital matches well with the sculpture that stands facing the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, the embodiment of the motherly love of our Party, and also highlights the dynamism of the era advancing towards the overall national prosperity.

Eleven years have passed since respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited Okryu Children’s Hospital on March 21, 2014. Since then, the loving care and benevolence of our Party have continued with the policies designed and adopted to provide our children with everything and to bring happiness and laughter to them.

It is respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who personally initiated the construction of Okryu Children’s Hospital and energetically led the project, visiting the construction site several times, so that the hospital would be completed into one of the best of its kind. When the hospital went into operation, he visited the place again on no special occasion, for he really wanted to see the lovely faces of our children there. Then, as if what he had done were not enough, he went on to give some valuable advice to relevant officials on the improvement of health services and also kindly resolved every issue arising from the management and operation of the hospital.

Under the loving care of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who regards it as his greatest pleasure and happiness to look after our children, the very future of the country, and spares nothing for them, they are growing up happy with nothing to envy in the world, annually provided with everything including Sonamu (Pine Tree) brand schoolbags, Mindulle (Dandelion) brand notebooks, Haebaragi (Sunflower) brand school things and also smart school uniforms. They are the very beneficiaries of the universal 12-year compulsory education system.

Since the adoption of the new childcare policy, children all across the country, including those in the deep mountainous areas and those on the remote solitary islands, are daily provided with nutritious dairy products, Sundays and holidays included – a truly inspiring reality to all.

Never a story or two can cover the extent of love and solicitude of
respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who sees to it that all the affairs of the State are subjected to the upbringing of our posterity and also devotes his all to that end. His is the one that can only be likened either to the vast expanse of the sea or sky.

The picturesque Okryu Children’s Hospital completed with the sculpture of a mother lifting her baby up in her arms will forever be perceived by our people as a masterpiece of great Kim Jong Un era, the era of higher civilization and greater prosperity ushered in by dint of eternal political creed and mode of ours – the people-first principle. And in the hospital and sculpture, we see the boundlessly noble outlook of our Party on younger generation that may perceive a difficulty but never an impossibility when it comes to work for children. Under such loving care of the Party, the happy laughter of our children will continue to reverberate through the country, heralding victory in the cause of overall national prosperity.
