Press Statement of External Policy Office Chief of DPRK Foreign Ministry

Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- The chief of the External Policy Office of the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea released the following press statement "The U.S. frantic anti-DPRK 'human rights' conspiratorial racket will only highlight its completely bankrupt policy toward the DPRK" on October 13:

The U.S. anti-DPRK "human rights" pressure racket for tarnishing the image of the dignified DPRK and justifying its illegal, hostile policy to it has reached an extremely reckless phase.

Recently, the "human rights envoy" and the roving ambassador in charge of international criminal and judicial affairs of the U.S. Department of State invited the authorities of the puppet ROK and various riff-raff "human rights" organizations to a confab in Seoul for breeding a "human rights" plot against our state. Earlier, a high-ranking official of the U.S. Department of State was closeted with those from its vassal countries on the theme of "human rights" in the UN arena.

Notably, the "human rights envoy" of the U.S. Department of State asserted that "influx of information and spread of religion" in the DPRK constitute the "core pillar of the U.S. policy toward north Korea," thus acknowledging that it is the goal of the current U.S. administration's policy toward the DPRK to bring its ideology and social system to collapse.

The Foreign Ministry of the DPRK strongly denounces and rejects the "human rights" trumpeting of the U.S., the world's worst human right abuser country, branding it as a wanton violation of the dignity and sovereignty of our state and a grave politically-motivated provocation against it.

Now the attempts to overthrow social systems of other countries and moves to interfere in their internal affairs, being openly committed by the U.S. under the signboard of "human rights, have become the root cause of fomenting political disorder and armed conflicts and causing massacres of civilians across the world. This proves that the "human rights" farce and "information influx" spearheaded by the U.S. are, indeed, the most serious threat to global peace and stability.

Witnessing the crude and mean behavior of the present U.S. administration seeking to “decorate” the finale of its term with such disgusting anti-DPRK "human rights" racket, we can clearly see the inner world of the White House exasperated by the situation of its DPRK policy that has been worn out structurally and has gone belly up politically.

The U.S. should be aware that its futile "human rights" racket will only further highlight the true colors of its "denuclearization" policy that ended in a real flop.

Steadfast is our determination and will to firmly defend our national sovereignty, political system and wellbeing of the people politically, physically and legally, coping with the U.S. and its followers' ever-aggravating anti-DPRK "human rights" moves.

The DPRK will mercilessly eliminate any objects and elements posing a threat to its sovereignty and security and continue to take practical measures to defend the rights and interests of its people with recourse to its great strength.

This will inevitably hasten the arrival of the reality that the U.S. doesn’t wish and is most afraid of. -0-
