The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) , the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE), the UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA )  , and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in Korea (BSCPRKP)issued a joint statement on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ri In Mo :
Ri In Mo is the symbol of faith and will for the Korean people and  the world progressive people. Comrade Ri In Mo was a long-term unconverted prisoner who was detained in south Korea for 41 years and spent 34 years in prison in south Korea making him the one of the  longerst serving political prisoner in the world .In fact Ri In Mo 34 years in prison were longer than the 28 years that Nelson Mandela spent in prison in racist South Africa.
As a result of the efforts of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL , comrade Ri In Mo was
repatriated to the DPRK on the 19th of March 1993.
Although held in appalling conditions and brutally tortured by the south Korean fascist puppets comrade Ri In Mo refused to renounce his ideology and " convert ". Ri In Mo saw many of his comrades die but kept his faith.
Ri In Mo wrote in his book "My Life and Faith " , " And truth is power. But it is not realised of its own accord . I would like to tell readers in conclusion: You must know how to defend your leader at the risk of your life at any time , and in any circumstances. Misfortune and disgrace are in store for those who do not know and do not defend the great man. This is not an idle remark of an old man in the last phase of his life . I have lived nearly all my life behind enemy lines . You do not know the enemy's craftiness and brutality . As far as the cause of national reunification in this land is yet to be achieved and imperialism remains in the world , my last remark is as ever : You must know how to defend the leader "
Our organisations remember Ri In Mo on the 100th anniversary of his birth as the great symbol of faith and will whose story is a great inspiration for us.
