On the 17th of July 2012 the Political Bureau of the Workers Party of Korea awarded the title of Marshal to dear respected comrade KIM JONG UN , this was not a mere honorific title but fully reflected the role of comrade KIM JONG UN in commanding ,building and developing the revolutionary armed forces of People’s Korea.
The question of building up the armed forces is a key one because the Korean peninsula is a geopolitical flashpoint where socialism and imperialism confront each other at gunpoint. The development of the armed forces is a decisive factor in securing the destiny of Korean-style socialism.
Since 2012 there has been a great leap forward in the development of the armed forces resulting in the DPRK’s increased ability to deter war and safeguard its sovereignty and defending the people-centred socialist system .There has been a huge qualitative and quantitative forward march of the DPRK’s revolutionary armed forces .
Marshal KIM JONG UN applied himself tirelessly to the work of building up the people’s armed forces . He visited many army units, even front line units at Panmunjom and in the conflict ridden West Sea of Korea . Not only did Marshal KIM JONG UN pay attention to weaponry and military hardware but to the lives and living conditions of ordinary soldiers making sure that they had enough to eat and that their barracks were warm .
Under the leadership of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN , the DPRK has become a socialist nuclear power of Juche and an ICBM power . Nuclear tests were carried out in 2013 , 2016 and 2017 . The DPRK tested the Hwasong 14 ICBM on the 4th of July 2017 (US “ independence day “ ) and had another test of the Hwasong 14 ICBM on the 28th of July 2017 . Later the Hwasong-pho 17 ICBM was tested in 2022 , the Hwasong-pho 18 ICBM was tested in 2023 and the Hwasong-pho 19 ICBM was tested in 2024. Regarding the test firing of the Hwasong-pho 19 ICBM in 2024 the Korean Central News Agency said “ At a time when the strategic option for reliably defending the national security and regional peace from the adventurous military moves of the U.S. and its vassal forces for aggression and the urgency of its powerful implementation are being further highlighted, a new entity has emerged again to demonstrate the absolute might of the DPRK nuclear combat forces rapidly developing day by day” .
In recent years the DPRK has also developed hypersonic missiles and submarine-launched ballistic missiles .
Soon People’s Korea will become a naval power as well as a nuclear power and an ICBM power . This year the guided missile destroyer Choe Hyon (named after the anti-Japanese revolutionary veteran Choe Hyon ) was commissioned on the 24th of June (one day before the anniversary of the provocation of the Fatherland Liberation War by the ROK puppets and US imperialists ) .Hostile media commented that “that the destroyer's deployment could eventually restrict allied naval movements and the arrival of U.S. reinforcements”. The Choe Hyon destroyer and other warships of the KPA Navy will be equipped with nuclear weapons . The day will come when the US and ROK will no longer be able to carry out aggressive war exercises in Korean waters .
It is thanks to the wise guidance of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN that the power of the revolutionary armed forces of People’s Korea has grown and will continue to grow !
