On 27 July, KFA Germany held a rally in front of the US Consulate in Leipzig on the occasion of the Month of Solidarity with the Korean People and the 71st anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic Liberation War. Fifteen people took part, including members of KFA Germany, the Juche Study Group Dresden and the party Rising - Peace, Sovereignty, Justice as well as many others.
The KFA Germany had a banner with a quote from the great leader President KIM IL SUNG: ‘The Korean people will continue to resolutely support the valiant struggle of the Palestinian people for the liberation of their homeland and the struggle of the entire Arab people against Zionism and imperialist aggression.’ The party Rising - Peace, Sovereignty, Justice had a banner with the inscription: ‘Against transatlantic foreign domination and occupation. For reconciliation with Russia and peace in Europe." There was a sea of DPRK flags at the rally. Numerous leaflets were distributed.
Numerous speeches were made at the rally. The official delegate and first chairman of the KFA Germany comrade Jeremy Bieringer explained how important it is to fight against US-led world imperialism despite increasing repression. After his speech he read out messages from Dr. Dermot Hudson from KFA UK and Marta Grelak of KFA Poland. The second chairman of KFA Germany, comrade Dominik Pach, emphasised in his speech that the heroism of the Korean People's Army during the Great Patriotic Liberation War should be taken as an example. Comrade Markus Böhmer, Chairman of the Juche Study Group Dresden, illustrated the brutality of the American warfare by saying: ‘During the war, 635,000 bombs were dropped on Korean cities, 325,000 of which were incendiary bombs containing napalm.’ Comrade Bernhard Falk, Deputy Chairman of the Party Awakening - Peace, Sovereignty, Justice, condemned the US presence in South Korea and Japan: ‘There, the USA is causing unrest in the Pacific region with military manoeuvres, with the most impossible behaviour, with propaganda and other methods.’ Alexander Kurth from the party Rising - Peace, Sovereignty, Justice emphasised that issues such as migration, which are highlighted by the bourgeois fake opposition, are only a distraction and that the most important thing is to end war and terror in the world. He particularly emphasised the situation in Gaza where Israel, under the leadership of the ‘child murderer’ Netanyahu, is committing genocide with the support of US imperialism and the FRG. The peace activist Tobias Pfennig emphasised the US war crimes during its war of aggression against the peace-loving Korean people. He described the massacre in Nogun-ri, where American soldiers machine-gunned 400 Korean civilians seeking shelter under a bridge for over three days. The socialist and peace activist Karl said: ‘The only way to liberate the peoples is first of all to liberate them from US imperialism in Europe and the whole world.’
After the speeches, Korean music was played and memory photos were taken. After the rally, the participants went to a restaurant together.
