              24th of August Juche 113 (2024)

The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI), the  Korean Friendship Association of UK ( KFA UK)   issued a joint statement in support of the press statement of the spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK ) titled "We will resolutely cope with any type of nuclear threat posed by the U.S."

The US National Security Council (NSC ) revised the US policy on nuclear weapons and claimed it was not aimed at any one country but at the same time mentioned the DPRK , Russia and China . The DPRK Foreign Ministry characterises this as "  a childish red herring to justify its dangerous nuclear-use strategy aimed at military deterrence and maintenance of geopolitical hegemony against other countries and evade criticism of the international community."

The DPRK Foreign Ministry rejects the sophistry of the US which is trying to gain the nuclear edge over its opponents and rivals whilst at the same time fabricating the so-called "nuclear threat " of the DPRK.

It is the US that has the biggest nuclear arsenal in the world which has a negative effect on the international security environment .

The US is building nuclear blocs of its satellite states . Any pledge of the US not to use nuclear weapons first is just nonsense.

Moreover had the US never developed nuclear weapons and been the first country to use nuclear weapons terms like nuclear threat would have never entered people's vocabulary . The nuclear threat from the US has continued from the 20th century to the 21st century.

No matter what falsehoods and exaggerations that the US may employ People's Korea will continue to bolster its strategic strength .

We support the stance of the DPRK which is totally justified .
