The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE) ,the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the   British Solidarity Committee for the Peace and Reunification in the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement on the occasion the 2nd anniversary of the election of  dear respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN as Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea(WPK)
     The election of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN as Chairman of the WPK  at its 7th Congress  reflected the unanimous support ,deep respect  trust of the members of the Workers' Party of Korea and entire Korean people.
   The election as Chairman  of the WPK fully confirmed the fact  that   Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN is the great successor, the one and only successor , to the great leaders generalissimos KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG IL who faithfully follows in their footsteps carrying out their behests most loyally.  Indeed dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN is identical to President KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG IL.
    The election to the position of Chairman was  profound manifestation of the continuity. of the great Juche and Songun revolution started by the great leader President KIM IL SUNG and matured by eternal Chairman KIM JONG IL. 
  During the past year under the leadership  of dear respected Marshal  KIM JONG UN the Korean people have rushed forward at Mallima speed smashing the sanctions of the US imperialists and achieved miracles such as the construction of Ryomyong Street .Under the banner of self-reliance and self-development the DPRK is prospering and will win final victory over the hostile forces . Self-reliance is the most revolutionary and correct line.

  The DPRK under the leadership of respected Chairman KIM JONG UN has victoriously concluded the work of building the economy and nuclear force in parallel and is now rushing towards the higher goal of building a self-reliant socialist people's paradise under  the banner of self-development first !

 The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE) ,the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for the Peace and Reunification in the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement on the occasion of the 83rd anniversary of the foundation of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland by the great leader President Kim Il Sung  ;
   The Association For the Restoration of the Fatherland was  founded by the great leader President Kim Il Sung on May 5, Juche 25 (1936), was the first anti-Japanese national united front in Korea.Its foundation was a decisive turning point in the Korean people's struggle for national liberation.

    The Association For the Restoration of the Fatherland(ARF)  made great contributions to liberating Korea from Japan's colonial rule, as it helped rally the anti-Japanese forces of different social strata under the banner of patriotism and anti-imperialism  thus creating  the driving forces of the Korean revolution. 
   The ARF was the first steady anti-Japanese national united front organi­zation in Korea, an organization guided by a single programme and rules and under a unified organizational system. It was a mass organization and a powerful underground revolutionary organization, working to fully ensure the leadership of the leader and the Party over the broad patriotic forces all over the country.President Kim Il Sung formulated the 10 point programme of the ARF which represented the advanced line and idea of the anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution.

   The ARF was firmly based on the worker-peasant alliance and on the leadership of the revolutionaries.It rejected  compromise and national reformism. It was firmly based on the Songun-based line of armed struggle .
  The founding of the ARF was the fruition of the Juche-oriented line  of the anti-Japanese national united front put forward by the great leader comrade  Kim Il Sung,which exemplified  the will of the Korean people to wage the struggle against the Japanese more vigorously on their own initiative and marking a historic occasion that gave rise to a new upsurge in the Korean revolution as a whole, based on the anti-Japanese armed struggle. 

   Today respected Marshal Kim Jong Un is carrying forward the idea of the great leader comrade

Kim Il Sung on the united front and is putting them into action.

    The ARF was an excellent example of a Juche-based united front and popular front which showed the way forward for the people of oppressed colonies to defeat imperialism and win independence. The Association For the Restoration of the Fatherland stands out as a model of an anti-imperialist, anti-fascist united front and popular front and its great achievements will shine forever !

 The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) , the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA), the UK KFA Trade Union Section and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement supporting the joint statement of  Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (DPRK), the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and the south Korean Federation of Trade Unions;
 On the occasion of May Day , the international day of the working people of the world , the  Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and the south Korean Federation of Trade Unions issued a joint statement  calling for the full implementation of the April 27th Panmunjom declaration and the September Pyongyang Declaration .
  Moreover the joint statement called for developing a workers movement for national reunification. We think this is a great idea . It will make a great contribution  to struggle for national reunification.
 We heartily support the joint statement of the trade unions of the Korean peninsula.

 The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) , the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement supporting the stand of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea(DPRK)  on denuclearisaiton  as as outlined in the answer given by comrade Choe Son Hui First Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK :
  Recently US Secretary of State Pompeo said that the DPRK 'needed to change paths' . This is insulting rhetoric by the US imperialist bureacrat.As Ms Choe rightly says ' This is a foolish and dangerous idea designed to bring down our system at any cost even by resorting to the military means, as their maximum pressure and economic blockade are not working against us.'
  The US does not have an honest attitude to dialogue  it just wants the DPRK to unilaterally disarm so they can overthrow the socialist system of the DPRK by force.
  In his policy speech to the 1st session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK ,respected Marshal KIM JONG UN clarified the DPRK's policies for DPRK-US dialogue and also set a deadline of the end of this year for the US to come up with some decent proposals for DPRK-US dialogue . Moreover at the recent DPRK-Russia summit , respected Marshal KIM JONG UN exposed the dishonest attitude of the US.
 The stand of the DPRK to denuclearise when the right time comes , remains unchanged. It is the just stand of the DPRK to reject unilateral and one-sided concessions. If the US cannot take a reasonable attitude and tries to force its will on the DPRK  then it will face bitter consquences .
 We support the just stand of the DPRK and also support the earlier call of the DPRK for Pompeo to be replaced as a negotiator in the DPRK-US talks.

Papers Call for Demonstrating Mettle of Heroic Workers of Juche Korea

Pyongyang, May 1 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK Wednesday dedicate editorials to the May Day, the international holiday of the workers in the world.
The DPRK's heroic struggle characterized by great victory and epochal changes and the strong spirit of today's socialist Korea advancing with pride toward a bright future in the face of all tempests of history are associated with the patriotic devotion made by the Korean workers, Rodong Sinmun says, and goes on:
The workers of Juche Korea are ardent patriots strong in ideology and faith and fighters of self-reliance who invariably take the path of independence and socialism, always following the Party in the ordinary and stormy days.
Self-reliance is just the traditional fighting spirit of the workers and an ever-victorious treasured sword for building a powerful socialist nation.
The events of great significance in the history of the nation and the eye-opening successes in all sectors of socialist construction like economy and culture witnessed in the course of foiling the moves of the hostile forces to stamp out the DPRK's rights to sovereignty, existence and development clearly proved how strong the Korean workers' spirit of self-reliance and self-development is.
Self-reliance is just the mettle and working manner peculiar to the workers of Juche Korea.

Workers in North and South Call for Implementing North-South Declarations

Pyongyang, May 1 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and the south Korean Federation of Trade Unions, organizations of workers in the north and the south, released a joint statement on Wednesday, the 129th May Day.
The statement noted that the workers in the north and the south declare their firm will to take the lead in the path toward peace, prosperity and independent reunification on the 129th May Day, the international holiday of the workers of the world.
Expressing solidarity with the devoted efforts of all the fellow countrymen for independence and peaceful reunification and declaring their will to always stand together in the van of the struggle for implementing the Panmunjom Declaration and the September Pyongyang Joint Declaration by dint of the firm solidarity the workers in the north and the south which have unanimously kept for 20 years, the statement said as follows:
We will pave a broad avenue toward implementation of the historic Panmunjom Declaration and the September Pyongyang Joint Declaration by getting united under the banner of By Our Nation Itself.
All the workers in the north and the south will courageously turn out in the struggle for ending the present stalemate and making a new engine for implementing the declarations.
In order to keep the north-south relations from going back to the ones in the era of tension and confrontation in any case, the workers in the north and the south will do their best in taking the lead in creating the environment and conditions for implementing the declarations.
We will get united under the banner of By Our Nation Itself that definitely prioritizes the understanding and demands of the nation and become an engine for ushering in a new era of peace, prosperity and independent reunification.
We will resolutely fight against all attempts to nullify the historic Panmunjom Declaration and the September Pyongyang Joint Declaration.
We, workers, should take the lead in putting an end to the pain resulting from national division and ushering in a new era of peace, prosperity and independent reunification.
We will never tolerate any act of inciting conflict and confrontation and violating the interests of the nation but resolutely fight against it.
For the present, we should declare the period between April 27 and September 19 as a "period of the struggle for implementing the north-south declarations" and create conditions and environment for thoroughly implementing the historic declarations.
We will further harden the solidarity between the workers in the north and the south and pioneer a new-level workers' movement for national reunification.
We will further develop the workers' movement for reunification, following the path indicated by the historic Panmunjom Declaration and the September Pyongyang Joint Declaration.
We will make tangible contributions to expanding the nation-wide movement for reunification by making ceaseless efforts for the political, mass-based and organizational development of the reunification movement. -0-

First Vice Foreign Minister of DPRK Flails Sophistry by U.S. Secretary of State

Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- Choe Son Hui, First Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), gave the following answer to a question put by KCNA on April 30, as regards the sophistry let loose by Pompeo, U.S. Secretary of State concerning the issue of denuclearization of the Korean peninsula:

At an interview with CBS on April 24, Pompeo, U.S. Secretary of State, talked about so-called "change paths."

This is a foolish and dangerous idea designed to bring down our system at any cost even by resorting to the military means, as their maximum pressure and economic blockade are not working against us.

In his historic policy speech made at the First Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly, Comrade Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, articulated the stand that the United States needs to put aside the current method of calculation and approach us with a new method of calculation and we would wait until the end of this year to see whether the U.S. makes a courageous decision or not.

In other words, he set a time limit for the settlement of nuclear issue which could be possible if the U.S. comes up with a proper method of calculation before the end of this year.

At the DPRK-Russia summit talks held on April 25, Comrade Chairman of the State Affairs Commission strongly berated the unilateral and dishonest attitude of the United States and stated that the peace and security of the Korean peninsula will be entirely dependent on the future American attitude and the DPRK will be prepared to deal with every possible scenario.

Our determination for denuclearization remains unchanged, and when the time comes, we will put it into practice. But, this is possible only under the condition that the U.S. changes their current method of calculation and formulates a new stand.

As for the so-called "change paths" talked about by the United States, it is not a privileged right that pertains only to the U.S., but it could also be our choice at our own will.

In case the U.S. is messing the problem and wandering along the other road like now, and would not formulate their position anew within the time frame set by our side, they will indeed face an undesired consequence.

We are well aware of the road we are to follow but we are merely holding back our decision because we have provided the time frame for the U.S.

The United States might better choose their path ahead, taking deep to their hearts the meaning behind the year-end time frame provided by our side. -0-
