BGSJI and KFA UK support the statement " "Strong is the will of our state to defend peace and security in the Korean peninsula and the region"

The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) and the Korean Friendship Association of the UK ( KFA UK) issued the following joint statement in support of comrade Kim Yo Jong ,department director of the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea titled "Strong is the will of our state to defend peace and security in the Korean peninsula and the region"  which was made public on the 10th of March ;

Yesterday on the 9th of March the US imperialists and ROK puppets began the 10 day long "Freedom Shield " war exercises which target the  Democratic People's Republic of Korea(DPRK)-People's Korea. The drill, involving more than 18 000 troops of the ROK and the U.S. forces, is to be staged day and night for  across the territorial ground, sea, air, outer space and cyberspace of the ROK. As comrade Kim Yo Jong states "  It is not a "military game" but provocative and aggressive war rehearsal of those simulating and planning the confrontation with the DPRK." . The fact that the war exercises are being staged is indicative of the deep hostility of the US and ROK towards the DPRK and demonstrates their unchanging hostile policy towards the DPRK.

"Freedom Shield " is being held at a time when the international situation is rapidly deteriorating and wars are breaking in different parts of the globe owing to the actions of what comrade Kim Yo Jong terms correctly as " outrageous international rogues". The war exercises of the US and ROK can only contribute to the spiral of international tensions, conflicts and wars . 

Comrade Kim Yo Jong warns that "The recent global geopolitical crisis and complicated international events prove that all military maneuvers of the field warfare troops, to be conducted by the enemy states, assume no distinction between defence and attack, training and actual warfare, and that they should be suppressed through an extraordinarily overwhelming and preemptive super-offensive, rather than a responsive or proportional action, in order to get fully prepared to cope with them."

The US and ROK should heed this warning of the DPRK made by comrade Kim Yo Jong . "Freedom Shield " should be immediately cancelled.

Our organisations take this opportunity to denounce " Freedom Shield " .War exercises can easily go over to actual war . Such exercises are carried on the premise that there will actually be a war , they are not a deterrent but aggressive in intent .The Freedom Shield drill is a rehearsal for invading People's Korea and colonizing the northern part of Korea. Freedom Shield is aimed at overthrowing the socialist system of the DPRK!

We support the statement of department director comrade Kim Yo Jong  and believe that it should be given wide publicity .

NO TO FREEDOM SHIELD !
