BGSJI and KFA UK on the speech "On the Tasks Facing the Government of the Republic at the Present Stage of Socialist Construction"

The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) and the Korean Friendship Association of the UK ( KFA UK) issued the following joint statement appraising the policy speech of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN titled " On the Tasks Facing the Government of the Republic at the Present Stage of Socialist Construction" which was made  to the first session of the 15th Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on the 23rd of March ;

The speech of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN titled "  On the Tasks Facing the Government of the Republic at the Present Stage of Socialist Construction" is a very comprehensive , wide ranging and noteworthy . The seven or so years since the first session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly in April 2019 have proved the correctness of " our State building strategy to construct socialism through self-reliance, holding fast to the revolutionary line of independence," 

Basically the line of self-reliance , which is a tried and tested policy  of the Workers Party of Korea and the DRPK and the line of keeping the nuclear deterrent have been proved correct , have been totally vindicated. As Marshal KIM JONG UN stresses " As we were consistent in maintaining the principles and methods of dealing with problems that rely entirely on our own strength in the face of ordeals, we could remain more faithful to our sacred struggle with the sense of self-confidence, not the sense of dependence, and win great gains incomparable with the result expected from anyone’s “promise” or “economic assistance."

These words contain a great truth . Relying on one's own strength brings great results but reliance on others does not . About 7 or  8 years ago the DPRK was faced with the option of either  giving up its nuclear deterrent and 'opening up ' , accepting so-called "economic assistance "  of the imperialists or pursuing the path of self-reliance and retaining the nuclear deterrent . The DPRK chose the former option. This have proved to be correct because now the DPRK enjoys security which it did have before as Marshal KIM JONG UN says 

" With an insight into the immutable nature of the imperialist and dominationist forces, for whom seeking hegemony has become an inveterate mental attribute and whose shamelessness would evolve to be more brigandish, we secured in a foresighted way a substantial capability for coping with the security threats that would face us in the future and their worst changes. We were absolutely right in doing so.

Externally, the United States and its allies are constantly deploying nuclear strategic assets in the region around our country and threatening the security mainstay in the region, but in fact this is not something new to us, and security of our State is being maintained on a level higher than that in other regions of the world.

I am sure to say: Ours is no longer a country that is susceptible to threats from others, and it has the power to threaten them, if necessary."

This is such a great achievement .

Turning to the present international situation respected comrade KIM JONG UN wisely points out that the " Unpredictability is the only predictable future situation in the present world.

If there is anything predictable, it is the aggressive nature of imperialism which can never change."

Without any shadow of doubt these words show a remarkable wisdom . The international situation has become so unpredictable . The only certainty is that the aggressive nature of imperialism will never change . Thus People's Korea has no illusions about imperialism and will prepare for whatever situation may arise . The DPRK will also take a firm line against the puppet ROK; "In particular, we will categorically reject, ignore and treat the ROK with the most explicit words and actions by officially regarding it as the most hostile state, and make it pay the price for its acts of provocation against our Republic without the slightest consideration, hesitation or mercy."

In terms of internal policy the DPRK will push forward with the line of the three revolutions ;ideological ,technological and cultural with priority  being given to the ideological revolution  .The whole society will be modelled on the working class and revolutionary pattern . Alien and unsound elements that run counter to the socialist way of life will be combatted. People's neighbourhood units will be strengthened .

Space does not permit a full commentary and analysis of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN's speech because it contents are so wide ranging but it is clear that it is a guideline for socialist construction and contains valuable remarks about the DPRK's international policy . We recommend a deep study of it .
