The Korean Friendship Association of the UK (KFA UK ) picketed the Headquarters of the BBC in Central London on the afternoon of the 6th December .Joining the picket was Dr Dermot Hudson chairman of the Korean Friendship Association of the UK as well by a politburo member of the New Communist Party and members of the progressive and anti-imperialist movement in London.
The picket received messages of greetings from KFA Cambodia , KFA Switzerland and the KFA UK Media Monitoring Unit .
Dr Hudson in his opening speech said “The BBC consistently demonizes and smears the DPRK by using clichés like “impoverished”, “totalitarian “ and “ isolated “ . Rather than being impoverished the DPRK has a rapidly growing economy, it is a people-oriented society and rather than being isolated has diplomatic relations with over a 100 countries !
In fact People’s Korea is a country that abolished taxation in 1974 and yet has free education , free health care and virtually free housing . People’s Korea is a society free from knife crime .
In People's Korea there is no Blackrock or other big monopoly corporations exploiting the people . No Bill Gates , Elon Musk or Richard Branson or Jeffrey Epstein , they do not exist in People's Korea .No amount of blather about 'dictatorship ' can ever hide or erase this fact.”.
The message from KFA Switzerland said in part “The imperialist mainstream media hate socialist Korea for its exemplary and wonderful achievements for the happiness of the people like free housing, free medical care and education and the absence of taxes.
Such great achievements are completely unthinkable in a capitalist society of profit and exploitation”
The message from KFA Cambodia stressed that “ KFA Cambodia denounces the imperialist mainstream media for spreading falsehoods intended to defame and misrepresent the socialist nation of Juche Korea “
Dr Hudson also quoted the popular left wing German newspaper “Junge Welt “ which characterised the BBC as the “British Bulls…t Club “ . Dr Hudson also pointed out that “ The BBC has taken upon itself the role of a shock brigade in the propaganda war against People’s Korea.The BBC is a state broadcaster closely linked to British imperialism and US imperialism . The BBC actually has close ties with MI6 and the CIA .Many of its overseas reporters are linked to MI6 . The BBC promotes the ideology of market totalitarianism and liberal fascism”
The picketers chanted “

“Down with BBC Lies !”
The KFA UK banner and DPRK flags were displayed .
