ASSPUK, BGSJI , KFA UK and BSCPRKP support the Statement of the DPRK Ministry of National Defence

The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) , the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK  KFA  UK )  ,and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in Korea (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement in support of the statement of  the Spokesman for DPRK Ministry of National Defence;

The US Department of Defence published on the 29th of September its so-called '2023 strategy for countering WMD" in which it branded the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) as a "persistent threat ".

This is very serious provocation to the DPRK and an affront to its sovereignty . The spokesman for the DPRK Ministry of National Defence correctly says that 'As for the "persistent threat", it is an expression most suitable for the U.S., the world's biggest WMD-armed state and the only criminal state that used A-bombs, which has labeled the DPRK as "enemy" and escalated unprecedented nuclear threat and blackmail against it since the last century.'

It is the US that threatens the DPRK and world peace. The US is the biggest possessor of nuclear weapons in the world and has twice used nuclear weapons against a non-nuclear state . The US has considered the use of nuclear weapons against the DPRK .

The US and its south Korean puppets have carried out dozens of aggressive military exercises against the DPRK . The US has also deployed nuclear submarines in south Korea as well as forming a so-called 'nuclear consultative group '

The DPRK acquired a nuclear deterrent to deal with the threat from the US and safeguard its security . After all the DPRK was invaded by the US imperialists in 1950. The historic 9th session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK took the ground-breaking decision to enshrine the nuclear power status of the DPRK in the Constitution .

The DPRK Ministry of National Defence warns the US that ' The armed forces of the DPRK will remain faithful to its honorable militant mission newly specified in the supreme law of the DPRK in accordance with the unanimous will of all the Korean people, and will counter the U.S. imperialist aggressors' military strategy and provocations with the most overwhelming and sustained response strategy.'.

We support the stance of the DPRK to counter the aggression and threat of the US .
