Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un Signs Joint Declaration with President Moon Jae In






Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, signed the "September Pyongyang Joint Declaration" with President Moon Jae In on Wednesday.

Present at the signing ceremony from the north side were Kim Yong Chol and Ri Su Yong, vice-chairmen of the WPK Central Committee, Army General No Kwang Chol, minister of the People's Armed Forces, Kim Yo Jong, first vice department director of the WPK Central Committee, and Ri Son Gwon, chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country.

Present from the south side were Jong Ui Yong, chief of the State Security Office of Chongwadae, Jo Myong Gyun, minister of Unification, Kang Kyong Hwa, minister of Foreign Affairs, Song Yong Mu, minister of Defense, To Jong Hwan, minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Kim Hyon Mi, minister of Land and Transport, Kim Yong Chun, minister of Oceans and Fisheries, and Kim Hyon Chol, adviser to the president for economic affairs.

When Kim Jong Un and Moon Jae In signed the historic declaration, the participants raised loud applauses.

The top leaders of the north and the south exchanged the copies of the declaration and had a significant photo taken in celebration of the birth of the "September Pyongyang Joint Declaration".

The "September Pyongyang Joint Declaration" serves as an important milestone in further accelerating the development of the north-south relations and ushering in a new golden age of reconciliation and unity, peace and prosperity of the nation by faithfully implementing the April 27 Panmunjom declaration in full measure, as unanimously desired and demanded by all the fellow countrymen.

Then a north-south military agreement for implementing the historic Panmunjom declaration was signed.

Army General No Kwang Chol, minister of the People's Armed Forces, from the north side and Song Yong Mu, minister of Defense, from the south side signed the agreement. -0-
