Today is the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Down With Imperialism Union , the forerunner and historical root of today's Workers Party of Korea.
On the 17th of October 1926(the year of the general strike in Britain ) President KIM IL SUNG founded the Down With Imperialism Union(DIU) from among the revolutionary youth who were untainted with factionalism and flunekyism .
The DIU was the first communist revolutionary organisation in Korea .
Today the traditions and ideas of the DIU are carried forward by the great Workers Party of Korea led by dear respected comrade KIM JONG UN !
