The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK),the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) , the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification (BSCPRKP) today issued a joint statement calling for the dissolution of the so-called UN Command in south Korea :
During the visit of our delegation to the Pyongyang Mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front of south Korea (AINDF) we discussed the issue of the so-called "UN Command ' in south Korea and resolved to launch a struggle for its dissolution . A commentary of an AINDF spokesman issued on the 30th of of September in Seoul said that "Broad segments of south Korean people should conduct a vigorous action to dissolve the UN Forces Command, a symbol of national disgrace and the source of fostering the danger on the Korean Peninsula." Our organisations strongly support the commentary of the AINDF spokesman on the so-called UN Command .
The so-called "UN Command " in south Korea is a ghost like structure with no real existence outside of the US occupation forces in south Korea.It is a tool of US rule in south Korea and instrument of neo-colonialism . The US imperialists have hatched a crafty and devious plan to keep operational control of the south Korean armed forces in south Korea through the UN Command even when the right of operational control is 'formally transferred' to south Korea.
The continued existence of the so-called "UN Command " in south Korea has been invalidated by several facts. Firstly, UN General Assembly resolution 3390 passed as long ago as 1975 called for the dissolution of the UN Command (why is the UNC in Korea still in existence 44 years later ?) Secondly, the fact that the DPRK itself joined the UN in 1991 so it is pointless for a UN Command directed against a full UN member. Thirdly, many of the countries involved in the "UN Command " actually have established diplomatic relations with the DPRK making their participation in the "UN Command" quite meaningless.
The "UN Command" basically is a tool of war which was organized by the U.S. for the purpose of deploying its satellite forces(such as the UK) and exercising its control over them during the Korean War.
As for south Korea it is not independent because it lacks the basic right to command its own armed forces .It is a shameful modern colony !

DISSOLVE THE UN COMMAND IN SOUTH KOREA !
