The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea(BGSJI) and the Korean Friendship Association of the UK(KFA UK))issued a joint statement in support of the press statement spokesman for the Ministry of National Defence of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea(DPRK) made on the 19th of January;
The Ministry of National Defence of the DPRK issued a press statement in connection with the aggressive war exercises being carried out by the US imperialists ,the south Korean puppets and Japan. These three countries staged exercises from January 15th off the waters of Jeju Island , south Korea which involved the U.S. nuclear carrier Carl Vinson and Aegis cruiser Princeton and warships of the Japanese maritime "Self-Defense Force" and the south Korean puppet navy. These followed on from similar exercises in December 2023 . Such exercises are an intolerable challenge to the sovereignty and dignity of People's Korea .
In the press statement the DPRK Ministry of National Defence announced that in order to counter the aggressive moves of the US imperialists and south Korean puppets "the Underwater Weapon System Institute under the DPRK Academy of Defence Science conducted an important test of its underwater nuclear weapon system "Haeil-5-23" under development in the East Sea of Korea.".
This was a just self-defensive measure of the DPRK . The DPRK is further perfecting its underwater nuke based weaponry .
We strongly denounce the US imperialists , the ROK puppets and the Japanese militarists for aggravating tensions on the Korean peninsula and threatening the DPRK . We support the excellent self -defensive measures of the DPRK .
Long Live People's Korea!
