London 22nd of January Juche 113 (2024)

   The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the  British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea(BGSJI) and  the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK(KFA UK))issued a joint statement in support of the  press statement spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry issued on the 20th of January;

Once again the UN Security Council(UNSC) called a closed meeting to discuss the DPRK's test fire of a hypersonic missile . As the DPRK Foreign Ministry statement points out , this is a matter related to the sovereignty of the DPRK which no one should interfere in .At the same time as calling the UNSC closed meeting the US dispatched a nuclear carrier task force to Korean waters to threaten and intimidate the  DPRK .

The DPRK Foreign Ministry characterises the action of the UNSC and US as " a wanton violation of the sovereignty of the DPRK, an unpardonable provocation and an irresponsible act of deliberately escalating the critical situation on the Korean peninsula."

The UNSC has shown typical double standards by failing to vote for a ceasefire in Gaza but instead interfering in the just and independent right of the DPRK for self-defence .

If the UNSC really cares about peace and security it should condemn the actions of the US and Israel .The UNSC is just a total puppet of the US.

The DPRK Foreign Ministry declares that "The Democratic People's Republic of Korea will never tolerate the abnormal repeated practice of the UNSC which illegally brands the efforts for bolstering up its own capabilities to be certainly necessary for defending itself as an illegal one but will firmly safeguard its sovereign right and legitimate interests through stronger and more obvious action choice".

We support the standpoint of the DPRK to further bolster its defence capabilities in order to combat the UNSC .
