This year ,2023 or Juche 112, has been another year of great victories for People’s Korea. It has been also a year of significant and meaningful celebrations for the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), the land of Juche. This year the DPRK celebrated the 75th anniversary of its foundation as well as the 70th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War against the Yankee imperialist aggressors and the 75th anniversary of the foundation of the standing regular revolutionary armed force of People’s Korea, the Korean People’s Army.
The 75th anniversary of the DPRK on September 9th this year was an event of tremendous significance not just for the people of the DPRK but for the world progressive and revolutionary people. The DPRK is the only socialist state in the world to have celebrated its 75th founding anniversary. Others that were proclaimed to be ‘ideal models of socialism’ by some fell by the wayside. Various prophets of doom of the mainstream media and bourgeois academia and even some so-called communists predicted the ‘collapse’ of the DPRK not just once but many times but the DPRK celebrated its 50th anniversary, then 55th anniversary , 60th anniversary , 65th anniversary , 70th anniversary and now its 75th anniversary proving the cynics and doom-mongers totally wrong.
The fact that the DPRK was able to celebrate its 75th anniversary is due to the outstanding and brilliant leadership over many decades of the great leaders President KIM IL SUNG and Chairman KIM JONG IL, which is today continued by respected Marshal KIM JONG UN. The leaders of the People’s Korea successfully applied the Juche Idea and Songun idea and roused the people to create miracles in the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance.
It was fantastic to watch on Youtube the parade of the Worker-Peasant Red Guard of the DPRK for the 75th anniversary of the foundation of the DPRK. The parade demonstrated the single-hearted unity of the DPRK and the fact the DPRK is a true people-oriented state.
Our Korean Friendship Association of the UK (KFA UK) despite limited resources and unfavourable conditions together with other KFA branches in Europe and beyond played its part in the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the foundation of the DPRK by holding the European Regional Forum for Solidarity, Friendship and Exchange with the Korean people over 2 weekends in September. We are grateful to comrade Alejandro Cao De Benos for his assistance and also other KFA branches in Europe with special mention of KFA Germany for their assistance to us on the 2nd of September.
The past year also saw the 70th anniversary of the victory of Korean people in the great Fatherland Liberation War against the US imperialist aggressors .The victory in the Fatherland Liberation War against the Yankee imperialists was a great victory achieved under the outstanding leadership and brilliant commanding art of great generalissimo KIM IL SUNG .It showed that a small country if it establishes Juche can defeat a big country .Today under the leadership of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN the DPRK is maintaining a militant anti-US ,anti-imperialist line and carrying the showdown with US imperialism to its final conclusion.
The Korean People’s Army which defeated the US imperialists in the 1950s celebrated its 75th anniversary of its foundation as a regular revolutionary armed force in February. A splendid and magnificent parade marked the occasion.
It is very significant that each of the three keynote anniversaries of the DPRK this year were celebrated with big military parades. The DPRK is probably the only country in the world to have three big military parades within the time frame of ten months. This shows the strength and resilience of the Juche-based, advanced people-centred socialist system of the DPRK. The liars and brainwashers of the imperialist mainstream media claim that the DPRK has ‘famine ‘and ‘starvation ‘but if this was even half true the DPRK would have not been able to hold such impressive military parades.
2023 or Juche 112 has been a year of great celebrations for the DPRK. Let us redouble our efforts to defend People’s Korea with No Ifs or Buts!
