Comrades and friends, we, the Korean Friendship Association of Greece, applaud and support your action against the embassy that represents the occupied part of Korea, which has brought the atmosphere of aggression against the independent People’s Korea to yet another dangerous climax, always under the guidance of the US, which has brought the world to the brink of total war due to its interfering policy with the most notable case, the recent (as of 2022) escalation of the (again) US-staged war that is going on in Ukraine for almost a decade.
The DPRK is under a lot of pressure by the imperialists due to the recent military provocations and the upcoming military drill between the US and South Korea. It does not yield however, and fights back with ever increasing vigour as it always did in the past, ever since the provocation of the 1950 war, which brought untold horror to the Korean People. Would the British People allow half their country to be occupied and dichotomised by foreign forces? Would the British People allow a foreign force to impose its own policies to half their lost country? Have the British People forgotten the countless invasion attempts against their own lands long before the time of the British Empire? The British, and all the working People of the world need to stand up against the hegemony of the US and stop interfering with the development of an independent country such as the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
The DPRK never did harm to other countries, never bombed foreign countries, never interfered with the internal politics of another country, yet we see the sorry state in which the southern part of the country is in.
Last month, anti-democratic repression took place once again against the workers’ voice, mainly the Trade Unions, always under the hypocritical excuse that is the National Security Act, which is basically a very vague law in theory, whereas in reality it just serves as the main justification for the government to suppress the Peoples’ voice, every time they try to speak against the unjust and barbaric capitalist system that is in an undoubtedly advanced state in the southern part of Korea. We ask the British People, who have witnessed themselves in recent times the very clear decline in their quality of life, would they allow their rights to be repressed under false pretences and accusations which hold little connection with reality? Would they allow their country to be a tool to satisfy the needs and wants of another? If not, then why do they not stop their own government from supporting such despicable policies against a harmless independent country, why do they not stop their own country from supporting a ‘country’ occupied by the US and brainwashed into supporting a system that isn’t even allowing children to be born and in return is driving their very children into suicide?
We, the Korean Friendship Association of Greece, hereby declare and pledge total support to today’s KFA UK picket, total support to People’s Korea and total support to the global workers suffering under the heavy boot of capitalism! We call for the immediate cessation of any aggression against the DPRK! We call for the immediate cessation of support towards the fascist South Korean regime! US out of Korea!
