The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) , the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea(BGSJI), the Korean Friendship Association of the UK (KFA UK ) ,and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in Korea (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement in support of the two statements issued by the General Staff of the Korean People's Army (KPA ) on the 19th of October 2022 concerning the intensified provocations of the south Korean fascist puppets ;
Since the 17th of October the south Korean puppets have been staging the Hoguk 22 military exercises which target the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and involve all sections of the south Korean puppet military and navy . . The Hoguk exercise ,which involves live fire drills , will finish on the 28th of October so it is being held over an 11 day period . Such moves are very dangerous on the Korean peninsula where huge armed forces stand in confrontation with each other. The desperate need on the Korean peninsula is for the relaxation of tension and the abandonment of the policy of confrontation against the DPRK by the south Korean fascist puppets. The south Korean fascist puppets are openly talking about practising pre-emptive strikes on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
On the 18th of October from 9.55 to 17.22 hours the south Korean fascist puppets fired dozens of shells of multiple rocket launchers in the forefront area of Cholwon County, South Kangwon Province . The KPA has taken due counter-measures to defend the DPRK from this unwarranted provocation by the south Korean puppets .
Our organisations first of all , suppport the statements of the KPA General Staff , secondly we denounce the holding of the Hoguk exercise and call for it to be cancelled at once , thirdly we sternly denounce the shelling of People's Korea by the south Korean fascist puppets and demand they halt their provocations !
