The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) , the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Korean Friendship Association of the UK (KFA UK ) ,and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in Korea (BSCPRKP) issued a statement supporting the statement of Jo Chol Su, director general of the Department of International Organizations of the DPRK Foreign Ministry'
On the 4th of October comrade Jo Chol Su, director general of the Department of International Organizations of the DPRK Foreign Ministry issued a press statement which exposed the double standards of the UN Security Council (UNSC ) .
Recently the US attempted to use the UNSC to censure Russia for the mere reason that residents of the People's Republic of Donetsk, the People's Republic of Lugansk and Regions of Kherson and Zaporozhye voted in a democratic referendum to unite with Russia and intregate into Russia. As is pointed out in the press statement the DPRK respects " the will of the residents who aspired toward the integration into Russia and support the Russian government's stand of making the above-said regions components of Russia".
The US has long used the UNSC as its tool to suppress the independent rights of other countries but this era is finally coming to an end .
As comrade Jo Chol So points out ' If the UNSC is going to violate the independent rights and fundamental interests of a sovereign state with the illogical and gangster-like double standards running counter to the aim and principle of the UN Charter, it will be held totally responsible for the consequences to be entailed by it'
The UNSC must stop acting as a puppet of the US and act properly and fairly.
