BGSJI and KFA UK on the 50th anniversary of the Panmunjom Incident

The British Group For the Study of the Juche Idea and the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK (KFA UK )  today jointly issued a statement on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Panmunjom Incident ;
  

 On the 18th of August 1976 the aggressive and fascist Yankee imperialists, sworn enemy of the Korean people, provoked the Panmunjom incident which resulted in the loss of life of 2 US service personnel.

     Basically, the US imperialists ignoring proper procedures and protocols in the joint security area tried to chop down a tree on the DPRK side of the joint security area without the prior permission and consent of the Korean People's Army. KPA soldiers tried to stop the Yankees from chopping down the tree but encountered violence from the Yanks. The KPA soldiers were unarmed but fought back using unarmed combat techniques . The incident ended with 2 US soldiers dead and a number injured.

     The US imperialist aggressors blustered and threatened the DPRK talking about a nuclear strike and sending aircraft carriers to Korean waters. However the DPRK under the leadership of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG stood firm and countered the wild provocations of the US imperialists .

   

The Panmunjom Incident showed that the Korean People's Army and the Korean people holding the arms of Juche and led by the great leaders President KIM IL SUNG and chairman KIM JONG IL are ever-victorious and invincible capable of defeating any foe.

We are convinced that led by respected Marshal KIM JONG UN , an ever-victorious iron -willed brilliant commander , the Korean people will continue to defend their independence and security against any infringement or aggression.
