Everywhere People Live
Believing in the people as in heaven was the motto of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung.
Comrade Kim Il Sung devoted his all only to the people, finding himself among them throughout his life.
His devoted efforts for the people can be felt everywhere they live.
Walking Field Paths All His Life
The Korean people remember the benevolent image of Comrade Kim Il Sung walking along field paths.
He visited farms continuously for nearly 50 years from the country's liberation in 1945 to the last period of his life, transplanting rice seedlings with farmers and discussing problems about farming with them.
He called at every place where farmers live, ranging from the farms at the northern end of the country to the rural villages in the remote mountainous areas.
One day in August 1993, he visited a number of farms in South Hwanghae Province though he was over 80 years old.
He gave field guidance to the farms in several counties from early in the morning to midday without relieving his fatigue from long journey and held a consultative meeting of senior officials in South Hwanghae Province at lunchtime.
At the meeting, he said that as the farming in South Hwanghae Province is important, he sometimes thinks to give up presidency and serve as an advisor guiding the farming in the province.
Indeed, it was his lifelong desire to do good farming and make the people well-off.
One day, Comrade Kim Il Sung recollected with deep emotion that he had called at nearly all the rural communities of the country and that he might have travelled hundreds of thousand kilometres to visit the farms for guidance of the rural economy sector and met and talked with tens of thousands of farmers.
The Korean people still remember the benevolent image of Comrade Kim Il Sung who walked along field paths all his life, so concerned to make them eat polished rice with meat soup.
To Solve the Clothing Problem of the People
The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung saw that textile and silk mills and knitwear factories were built in all parts of the country in order to solve the clothing problem of the people.
The Songyo Knitwear Factory was built on his direct initiative in the 1960s. Since then, the factory has contributed to the improvement of the people's living by producing various kinds of knitwear.
Lecturer Jang Sol Ok at the Songyo Knitwear Factory said the factory was turned into a knitwear producer of large capacity under the meticulous guidance of Comrade Kim Il Sung, and continued:
"Printed in all parts of our factory are the traces of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung's field guidance.
Comrade Kim Il Sung visited our factory four times, whose employees are mostly women.
He kindly asked them if the work was not difficult, how many hours they worked and what the quality of their meals was like and paid attention to the provision of working and living conditions as well.
And he led them step by step to produce various kinds of good-quality garments favoured by people."
Whenever opportunity permitted, Comrade Kim Il Sung oversaw the products of the factory and said they had been made well and called for turning out large quantities of knitwear favoured by the people.
As said above, the traces of his field guidance for the people are found everywhere in this country including factories and farms.
Comrade Kim Il Sung continued his field guidance tour till the last period of his great life, saying that when he works harder, the country will prosper and the people be well-off.
He covered the distance of over 578,000 kilometres for his field guidance all his life, which is equivalent to making 14 rounds and a half of the earth.
The Korean people will tell of his benefits forever.
