Guided by the far-reaching blueprint for socialist rural construction provided by respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea(WPK), the past five years witnessed yearly transformations of nationwide rural villages into wonderlands, thus recording another great chapter in the new era of comprehensive national development.

In the very first year of the rural housing project, modern and elegant houses were built in various villages, heralding the arrival of rural civilization and progress. Within just a few years, numerous modern houses appeared in the lowlands as well as in the remote mountainous regions.

The project proceeded without let-up even in the top-level emergency anti-epidemic period. Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un devoted his time to providing our agricultural workers with a happier life with nothing to envy. He spent nights reviewing the designs, shapes and colours of rural houses. Under his guidance, the construction workers waged a dynamic struggle, unfolding a new scenery of ideal rural villages to the remote mountainous areas, giving the flood-hit northern regions a facelift, and turning Ragwon Port into an ideal modern fishing village.

The WPK advances the rural housing project without a moment of stagnation as it has set it as a historic task for translating the people’s ideals into reality and achieving comprehensive national prosperity by ushering in a new era of socialist rural construction.

Thanks to the wise leadership of the WPK that enjoys whole-hearted support of our people, a rosier future lies in store for the DPRK’s socialist countryside and the rural revolution programme in the new era will surely come to a brilliant fruition.
