Today, our young people are significantly marking the 80th founding anniversary of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League.

There are a number of countries and young people around the globe, but there is no such country as the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) that has solved the youth problem in the most correct, excellent and perfect way.

With a deep insight into the position and role of young people in the Korean revolution, President Kim Il Sung organized Democratic Youth League on January 17, 1946 after the national liberation, thus firmly uniting broad sections of young people under the banner of democracy.

Chairman Kim Jong Il put our youth league at the vanguard of the struggle for implementing party policies so as to make them add luster to their life.

Carrying on the idea of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un also developed our youth league into a powerful and well-disciplined organization and brought up our young people into brave warriors in implementing the revolutionary cause of Juche and successors to the blood lines of Juche, maintaining the principle of giving priority to the youth movement as one of three strategies of our Party.

Thanks to the energetic leadership and warm care of the great leaders, our youth league has developed into the Socialist Patriotic Youth League involving millions of young people, and our young people could have grown up into the vanguards and shock brigade who are boundlessly loyal to our Party.

At the very outset of the New Year 2026, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm to congratulate and encourage our young builders greeting in the New Year. Over the courageous and spiritual growth of young people on that day, he was convinced of the succession of socialism of our own style.

After receiving the warm congratulations and encouragement of the leader from the very outset of the New Year, the spirit of our young people is soaring high up in the sky. They are now devoting their all to the building of a socialist power, demonstrating the strong power and valor which can even shake the earth.

Being blessed with the leaders one generation after another, the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, has only walked straight along its path, and will continue to exalt its dignity and honor of youth power by bringing up more and more young people – the might and pride of the DPRK – into heroic and patriotic ones who are loyal to our Party.
