London 5th  January 2026
    The  British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea(BGSJI) and the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK  issued the following joint statement regarding the US imperialist aggression in Venezuela ;

On the 3rd of January the US imperialists carried out an attack on Venezuela , a sovereign country . During the attack Venezuela was bombed and the Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro was kidnapped . It is believed that 80 or more people were killed in the attack . The attack followed several months of harassment and pressure by the US against Venezuela which included attacks on fishing boats .

We totally condemn the US aggression against Venezuela . We fully concur with the answer given by the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK  on the 4th of January which stated "The incident is another example that clearly confirms once again the rogue and brutal nature of the U.S. which the international community has so frequently witnessed for a long time.

The Foreign Ministry of the DPRK strongly denounces the U.S. hegemony-seeking act committed in Venezuela as the most serious form of encroachment on sovereignty and as a wanton violation of the UN Charter and international laws with respect for sovereignty, non-interference and territorial integrity as their main purpose"

The kidnapping of President Maduro is a violation of the sovereignty of Venezuela that is beyond belief . It just goes to show that the US is the biggest aggressor state in the world and the biggest exploiter and oppressor . The US is a self-appointed and unwanted global policeman .

We express our solidarity with the Venezuelan people in defence of their sovereignty . We also express solidarity with members of KFA Venezuela !

US Out of Venezuela !
Down with US imperialism !
