A critique of "Guardian Live Understanding North Korea: How likely is war " by the Juche Idea Study Group of England , UK Korean Friendship Association and Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK

Tonight the "Guardian " newspaper is holding an anti DPRK event in Islington . This event is not for ordinary people as tickets cost £20+ .Clearly the event is aimed at the well off, the liberal 'chattering classes, academics and businessmen. .It can be added that the event is being held in the trendy Yuppie and hipster heartland of Islington !
SIgnificantly pro-DPRK viewpoints have been deliberately excluded from the event . No one from UK KFA or the Juche Idea Study Group of England was invited to attend this event despite the fact these organisations include people who have visited the DPRK 14 times and hold academic qualifications from the DPRK. The exclusion of UK KFA and JISGE from the panel of speakers is very discriminatory and unjust .
Instead a number of anti-DPRK academics such as Hazel Smith and Aidan Foster -Carter are will be speaking , both of these are inveterate DPRK bashers and haters .!Foster-Carter is well known for writing anti-DPRK articles. Foster-Carter's website makes it very clear where he is coming from " Much as I hated Mrs Thatcher, in retrospect something like her had to happen. A liberal now, I broadly accept both the sociology and politics of Adam Smith and J S Mill ...I now find myself in the globalization camp" . Foster-Carter of course makes lots of money writing for different publications such as the right wing "Economist " as well acting as a consultant for various outfits. As to Hazel Smith  refer to the following links

 http://juche007-anglo-peopleskoreafriendship.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/a-critique-dangerous-isolated-and.html
The introductory material for the event betrays an anti-DPRK bias saying that the DPRK's nuclear programme is a " bargaining chip to gain recognition abroad, and legitimacy and support at home"(!!!?) .  The DPRK does not  need someone's else recognition , it has existed despite US sanctions and blockades for nearly  7 decades.Do not they not realise that the reason the DPRK started a nuclear weapons programme is to defend itself from US imperalism which attacked the DPRK in 1950 and several times threatened the use of nuclear weapons . The US brought 1,000 nuclear weapons into south Korea long before the DPRK had a nuclear programme . It also ignores the fact that dear respected Marshal
KIM JONG UN himself stated that  the DPRK "would neither put its nukes and ballistic rockets on the table of negotiations in any case nor flinch even an inch from the road of bolstering the nuclear force chosen by itself unless the U.S. hostile policy and nuclear threat to the DPRK are definitely terminated,"
As usual cliches like "the world's most isolated nation" are trotted out . This ignores that the fact that the DPRK has diplomatic relations with many countries. In August last , a UK KFA delegation participated in an international festival which attracted over 300 people. How can the DPRK be isolated ?
Basically the "Guardian'" event Understanding North Korea: How likely is war " is another anti-DPRK propaganda exercise fronted by a couple of over paid academic apologists for US imperialism and the south Korean fascist puppet regime .

The UK Korean Friendship Association , Juche Idea Study Group of  England and the Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK denounces this anti-DPRK event which contributes towards the demonisation and 'de legitimatisation ' of People's Korea
