Press Statement of Spokesperson for DPRK Foreign Ministry

Pyongyang, October 10 (KCNA) -- A spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea released the following press statement on Friday:

Recently the U.S. Department of State committed another grave politically-motivated provocation of malignantly slandering the DPRK through the "2026 Trafficking in Persons Report" which is full of lies, fabrications, prejudice and hostility.

This clearly proved once again the U.S. vicious and malicious intention to politicize and weaponize human rights and use them as the primary lever for its hostile policy toward the DPRK.

The Foreign Ministry of the DPRK brands the U.S. deceptive "report," which has nothing to do with genuine human rights as an intensive expression of the hostile policy encroaching upon the sovereignty and internal affairs of our state and hurting the rights and interests of our citizens, and denounces and rejects it in the strongest terms.

The U.S. "human rights" reports, which deviated from the basic principles of human rights and seriously distorted their core values, are nothing but false documents to justify interference in internal affairs and overthrow of social systems in other countries, and herein lies the moral and ethical vulgarity and problematic policy pursued by the U.S.

Human traffic has been an evil of American society for a long time, and it is also the U.S. "specialty" which is difficult to imitate.

The U.S. is the world's most heinous human-trafficker nation which is run and administered by a national flesh-traffic organization and is prospering thanks to it.

We will never regard the U.S. publication of the "report" as an annual and formal habitual practice, but as an unconditional and invariable continuation of the hostile policy toward the DPRK and as a nonstop confrontational attempt aimed at overthrowing the social system of the DPRK and disintegrating it from within.

The essence of the U.S. policy toward the DPRK is to obliterate our people's inalienable right to existence and development, and herein lies the main reason why we should concentrate our more efforts on building up powerful strength for defending our sovereignty.

The U.S. "human rights" racket against the DPRK, which poses a serious threat to the DPRK's sovereign rights and the rights and interests of its citizens, will be the first target of the toughest counteraction against the U.S. together with other hostile acts.

Falsehood has a short life and it cannot cover up the truth in any case.

The DPRK will redouble its practical efforts to neutralize the U.S. hostile acts, lay heavy responsibility on those who did malicious practices and implement justice through the most resolute and decisive action for defending its sovereignty and social system, uncompromising criterion of human rights. -0

20 years of the DPRK being a nuclear power -by Dr Dermot Hudson

It was on the 9th of October 2006 , that truly earth shattering news broke; the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK ) conducted its first ever nuclear test . The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA ) released the following report ; “The field of scientific research in the DPRK successfully conducted an underground nuclear test under secure conditions on October 9,2006 at a stirring time when all the people of the country are making a great leap forward in the building of a great prosperous powerful socialist nation.

    It has been confirmed that there was no such danger as radioactive emission in the course of the nuclear test as it was carried out under a scientific consideration and careful calculation.

    The nuclear test was conducted with indigenous wisdom and technology 100 percent. It marks a historic event as it greatly encouraged and pleased the KPA and people that have wished to have powerful self-reliant defence capability.

    It will contribute to defending the peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the area around it”

The US imperialists and other enemies of the DPRK were truly gobsmacked ! People’s Korea had done it ! The first nuclear test was a fiery act of defiance against US imperialism  as well as is a powerful blow against globalisation. The DPRK had defied neighbouring countries who at the time were opposed to the DPRK’s nuclear development . The DPRK’s first nuclear test was an amazing achievement . The DPRK had constructed a nuclear weapon using its own resources and techniques ,without help from anyone else.

The DPRK’s nukes are a treasured sword for defending its independence and defending socialism .

The 2006 nuclear test in the DPRK was followed by nuclear tests in 2009 , 2013 , 2016 and 2017. Later the DPRK ‘s nuclear status was legally defined by the Law On The State Policy On The Nuclear Forces of the DPRK which was passed in September 2022 . Later the DPRK’s nuclear status was enshrined in the Constitution. The DPRK’s nuclear status is now irreversible .

The development of nuclear weapons and the testing  of them by the DPRK was and is very necessary to defend itself from US imperialist aggression . The real author of the nuclear issue on the Korean peninsula was none other than the United States which introduced nuclear weapons into south Korea in 1957 , nearly 50 years before the DPRK carried out its first nuclear test ! The US stationed 1,000 nuclear weapons in south Korea . Supposedly , they were withdrawn in the early 1990s but later the US send it could “neither confirm or deny “ the withdrawal of such weapons . 

The US threatened to use nuclear weapons against the DPRK during the Fatherland Liberation War (Korean War ) and  the US considered a nuclear first strike against the DPRK during the Korean War of 1950-1953 , during the “Pueblo Incident ‘ of 1968 and the Panmunjom incident of 1976 and other occasions . The US designated the DPRK a target of a US nuclear first strike in 2002. So it was logical for the DPRK to decide to have its own nuclear weapons.

The past experience of the DPRK had shown it was pointless to rely on other countries for defence . Early on the DPRK had put forward the policy of developing the economy and defence in parallel so that they would not be reliant on others for defence .

Today , the US , ROK , Japan and the UK all clamour for the so-called denuclearisation of the DPRK which of course would leave the DPRK defenceless and result in the overthrow of the socialist system and the colonisation of the DPRK by the US and ROK  . However this will not happen because the DPRK has been a nuclear power for 20 years now and the DPRK’s nukes are here to stay !

Developing the WPK into the Motherly Party

  The Korean people praise the Workers' Party of Korea, calling it motherly Party.

  Motherly Party is the appellation given by the Korean people to the WPK which takes care of them with full responsibility for their destiny.

  Shining in the tens of year-long sacred history of the WPK are the undying achievements of the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il who strengthened and developed the WPK into the motherly Party.

Important Guideline of Building the Motherly Party

  Comrade Kim Jong Il gave detailed instructions on building the WPK into the motherly Party in a number of famous works including "The WPK Organizes and Guides All the Victories of Our People" and "On the Fundamentals of Revolutionary Party Building".

  Professor and Doctor Om Hyok Min, Dean of Kim Il Sung University, said it is of special significance in the party building that Comrade Kim Jong Il expounded on building the WPK into the motherly Party, and continued:

  "The great Comrade Kim Jong Il said that building the WPK into the motherly Party means making the Party a genuine guide and protector of the people that bears responsibility for their destiny and looks after them as mother loves her children deeply and takes warm care of them.

  In the past the party was regarded as a weapon of class struggle.

  Of course, the working-class party should wage a class struggle. But all the activities of the party should, to all intents and purposes, start with its infinite love for and trust in the people.

  In the last 20th century not a few parties, which were said to be building socialism, lost the people's support to and trust in them and ended their existence because they did not build themselves into the motherly party taking warm care of the people with responsibility for their destiny but reduced them to bureaucratic parties wielding and abusing their powers.

  The WPK should be made the motherly Party the people call with sincerity!

  This is the fundamental issue of Party building consistently maintained by Comrade Kim Jong Il for tens of years since he started to work at the Party Central Committee in the 1960s."

  Comrade Kim Jong Il indicated specific tasks and ways to strengthen and develop the WPK into the motherly Party including the issue that all the officials should have the viewpoint of regarding the people as the most precious and powerful beings and sincerely believing and loving them under the slogan "We serve the people!" and the issue that they should devotedly serve the people with high consciousness of being the officials of the WPK, the motherly Party.

Taking Care of the People's Destiny to the End

  Who takes care of our destiny and future,

  Who keeps off wind, rain and even death.

  ...

  This is part of the lyric poem "Mother" which is popular among the Korean people.

  The lyric poem represents the minds of the Korean people praising the WPK which takes warm care of them, calling it mother.

  Professor and Doctor Om Hyok Min, Dean of Kim Il Sung University, said Comrade Kim Jong Il ensured that the people with different careers were protected with responsibility for their destiny, and continued:

  "Long ago, an artiste went to a mine in the northern part so as to learn after the spirit of the working class.

  While discussing work with officials, the great Comrade Kim Jong Il asked if they had inquired after the artiste.

  The officials did not say a word.

  With a serious face, Comrade Kim Jong Il said how they could not inquire after the artiste though they had sent him to a far-off place and added with deep regret that Party officials should not do so.

  He soon called on the telephone the chief secretary of the Party committee of the county with the mine and attentively asked him if the artiste was not ill and what he was working and about his lodging and boarding conditions. He is an artiste we treasure, Comrade Kim Jong Il said and earnestly requested the chief secretary to lead him well and take good care of his life.

  That day, he admonished the officials: As the party member made a mistake, his relatives and friends may forget him. However, our Party organization should not forget him but bear responsibility for him to the end. Because our Party has the noble duty to lead all the people to the last."

  Everywhere in this country are touching stories told in the days when Comrade Kim Jong Il was building the WPK into the genuine motherly Party which is responsible for the destiny and future of the people.

  Comrade Kim Jong Il sent a flying corps and naval vessels of the People's Army to save a girl driven out to the West Sea on a piece of ice. He organized an operation to treat two seamen seized with a sudden illness in a trading ship sailing on the ocean, who brought them back to life miraculously. When the lives and property of people in some regions of the country were in danger due to raging waves by heavy rain, he committed powerful troops of the army and military equipment and commanded the rescue campaign to defend the lives of the people.

  Indeed, thanks to the motherly Party like the spring light which brings all things to life, all people in this country could glorify their genuine life and remain loyal to the leadership of the Party, entrusting their destiny entirely to it.

  Shining forever are the immortal exploits of Comrade Kim Jong Il who strengthened and developed the WPK into the genuine motherly Party which takes care of the masses of the people with full responsibility for their destiny and achieved the integral whole of the Party and the people.

  October 10 is the founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

  Its founder is the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung.

Revolutionary Party of Juche

 

  The WPK is a political organization leading the people with responsibility for their destiny and the organizer and guide of all victories of the Korean people.

  From the initial period of his revolutionary career, Comrade Kim Il Sung regarded the party building as the fundamental issue of the revolution, chose the way completely different from the former general mode of party founding and wisely led the struggle for its realization.

  The work for founding a working-class party was conducted in various ways with different aspects in the countries under different socio-historical conditions and at different stages of revolutionary development, Lecturer Paek Jin Hyang at the Korean Revolution Museum said and continued:

  "It was an important issue decisive of the destiny of the country and nation to successfully accomplish the cause of building a working-class party, the general staff of the revolution, in the struggle for realizing the independence of the masses of the people.

  The principle of party founding presented by the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung in an original way was the principle of independence and its ideal was a revolutionary party of Juche type.

  And the mode of party founding was to found a party in the way of laying firm organizational and ideological foundations for party founding, forming grass-roots organizations first and, on this basis, expanding and strengthening them."

  Comrade Kim Il Sung formed the Society for Rallying Comrades, the first party organization, with young communists of new generation in Kalun in July 1930. With it as the parent body, he expanded and strengthened the grass-roots organizations and trained many hard-core members to prepare the organizational backbone for party founding.

  And he firmly rallied the broad masses from all walks of life under the banner of the anti-Japanese struggle by awakening them to their ideological consciousness and organizing them during the whole period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, thereby consolidating the mass foundation for founding a revolutionary party of new type.

  In August 1945, Comrade Kim Il Sung wisely led the work for founding a working-class party in the liberated country.

  He put forward the policy on founding a unified party with the fighters trained and hardened in the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and the revolutionaries who were active at home and abroad. And he dispatched anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters to different regions to readjust and strengthen the already-existing party organizations and organize new ones where there were none.

  On the basis of such preparations, he convened a preliminary meeting for founding the party on October 5, 1945 and the historic inaugural conference for the founding of the party on October 10 and proclaimed the founding of the revolutionary party of Juche all over the world.

  Along with the founding of the WPK, the Korean people could shape their destiny with their reliable vanguard detachment, a militant general staff, and a new history of revolutionary party building in the era of independence started.

Emblem of the WPK

  The hammer, sickle and writing brush in the emblem of the Workers' Party of Korea symbolize the working class, farmers and intellectuals. And the crossing of the hammer, sickle and writing brush at one point means unity and cohesion of the working people.

  The Party emblem was completed thanks to the special concern and meticulous guidance of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung.

  In July 1946, Comrade Kim Il Sung examined the draft designs of the Party emblem and said to officials: Our Party emblem should depict a worker, a farmer and an intellectual. Only then, can we show symbolically that the WPK is a unified party of the working people.

  The worker might be represented with a hammer, the farmer with a sickle and the intellectual with a pen, but it would be better to represent the intellectual with a writing brush in our way.

  There were a lot of debates among people when the issue of putting the writing brush symbolic of the intellectuals into the Party emblem was raised. At that time, some people insisted that the writing brush should not be drawn in the Party emblem because the intellectuals are a wavering class that can play a double-barrelled game, saying they are not an independent class but an intermediary stratum of the society.

  Just at the time, Comrade Kim Il Sung said: It is, of course, true that the intellectuals are not an independent class but a stratum of the society. However, as we cannot defend the country without arms, it is impossible to build a country without intellectuals. A writing brush should be drawn in the Party emblem.

  Afterwards, too, Comrade Kim Il Sung examined the remade design of the Party emblem on several occasions and fixed the positions of the hammer, sickle and writing brush. And he explained that the writing brush in the middle should be a little higher than the hammer and the sickle and it means that all the workers and farmers should have high knowledge and culture and do their best to contribute to building a prosperous and civilized independent, sovereign state in the future.

  That is how the emblem of the WPK representing the working people came into being.

 

Department Director Kim Yo Jong of C.C., WPK Re-clarifies Stand through KCNA

Pyongyang, October 9 (KCNA) -- Kim Yo Jong, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea made public through KCNA the following judgment and stand of the government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea toward the hooligans of the ROK on October 9:

There is nothing more disgusting than the "good will" covered as "ill will".

The racket of "mine explosion" and the farce of "medical equipment support" orchestrated by the ROK are just the two sides of the same coin minted by its inveterate bad habit of escalating confrontation with our state. They were all instigated by a single black-hearted scheme; to tarnish the prestige and image of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea at any cost.

This time the duplicity and shamelessness of the ROK, which touted "humanitarian aids" for someone, have become visible to the naked eye.

The hooligans of the ROK have been hit hard once again.

They employed a suicidal trick and "utterly disgraced" themselves militarily and diplomatically.

Though disgusting, I have so far watched the deceptive behavior of the ROK. However, such ill-minded idiots as the present authorities of the ROK were rare to be seen.

The recent farce staged again under the signboard of "humanitarian aids" is another part of the "serial comedy drama", so mean and stupid, designed to contrast their "goodwill attitude and effort" with our "negative stand" in the eyes of the international community.

They seemingly want to highlight this; "As you see, we do everything we could do with 'good will' and Seoul is not responsible for ever-escalating tensions."

This is, indeed, an abnormal act peculiar to the enemy. This is impossible if he or she is not an animal.

What a simple ulterior purpose and mean method.

The ROK will surely be caught in a more unfavorable situation for its despicable act.

Maybe the ROK has earned a thing but it has lost two, three and ten things.

This reminds me of the idiots jumping into fire with faggot on their backs and adding fuel to the fire.

In Part One of the "serial comedy drama," they played "victims" and in Part Two they suddenly disguised themselves as "angels" preaching the merits of "humanitarianism." We will take time for this funny show to see its box-office result.

The farces recently staged by Seoul are unprecedented politically-motivated, military and moral provocations against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. They have become the decisive historical records perpetuating our understanding of the ROK human scum down through generations.

They constitute the epitome of Seoul's meanness.

Upon authorization of our head of state and according to the general will of the people of the DPRK, I clarify that we will more definitely disregard and reject the human scum of the ROK in the future. -0-

 The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and  the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK  KFA  UK )  , issued a joint statement in support of the press statement  of comrade Kim Yo Jong Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea that was issued on the 8th of October ;

Recently , not content with creating a furore over the so-called "mine explosion " case , the ROK puppets on the 7th of October insulted the DPRK with a fake aid offer  In her absolutely brilliant statement comrade Kim Yo Jong slams the ROK puppets saying "This is an insult to our state and mutant political-motivated provocation against it and a grave encroachment upon our national law" . Comrade Kim Yo Jong is totally right . It is indeed a provocation against the DPRK .

When they made their so-called offer of "aid " , the ROK puppets made slanderous and ill intentioned remarks about the socialist system of the DPRK talking about "shortages " of medicines  and even saying that there was a "vulnerable class " in the DPRK . This is rubbish . As everyone knows there is no such thing as as "vulnerable class " in the DPRK . Such a thing , in the words of comrade Kim Yo Jong  " is, indeed, a noisy and ugly act."

The so-called "aid offer " is the second part of the "mine explosion " case . It is designed to make the ROK puppets look "reasonable " and also to try and convince the DPRK to make concessions to the ROK and to desist from measures to further secure its borders.

Comrade Kim Yo Jong states that "We have nothing to exchange or go with the ROK and no need to face to face with it. We make it clear once again that it is the unshakable stand of the DPRK". Moreover  "We will never sit face to face with the ROK forever, and we will make them feel again the fact that history can never be reversed."

We strongly applaud the correct , just and principled stand of the DPRK as manifested by the press statement of comrade Kim Yo Jong . This press statement proves that the DPRK is very astute and it is not fooled by the crafty ,double dealing ROK puppets . The ROK puppets are No 1 hostile state to the DPRK and this cannot change .

It has always been our belief and conviction that the DPRK with its self-reliant socialist system does not need the so-called "aid " of the ROK puppets which is a poisoned candy aimed at destroying the socialist system of the DPRK .

We support the correct stand of the DPRK !
