  Driver Ho Myong Gum at the Ryonmot Trolley Bus Company has an unusual attachment to her job that calls for working from early in the morning till late at night for the convenience of the people.

  She has been working as a trolley bus driver for tens of years since her girlhood and respected by citizens as "our deputy".

  She is a deputy to the Pyongyang Municipal People's Assembly. She keeps an unforgettable memory in her heart.

  On July 19, 2015 elections to the provincial, city and county people's assemblies took place in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

  At that time, Ho Myong Gum was recommended as one of the candidates for deputies to the Pyongyang Municipal People's Assembly.

  That day, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un came out to the polling station and voted for candidate Ho Myong Gum, a woman driver of the Ryonmot Trolley Bus Company.


  Then, he met her and highly appreciated the merits she performed in devoting her intense loyalty and patriotic enthusiasm for the strengthening and development of the DPRK in the spirit of true service for the people.

  Ho Myong Gum said she cannot forget the day though many years have passed since she met Kim Jong Un, and continued:

  "Whenever I recall that time, I get so excited that it seems to have happened just before.

  The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un voted for me and pressed my hands. He told me to work harder for the people true to their expectations as a representative of the people.

  I drive the trolley bus, always thinking that I should work according to his instructions."

  Ho Myong Gum was awarded the title of Merited Driver in 2018 and reelected deputy to the Pyongyang Municipal People's Assembly in 2019 and 2023.

  The state provided her gratis with a luxurious house in the Pothong Riverside Terraced Residential District in recognition of her faithful service for the people.

  Ho Myong Gum has worked as a deputy to the Pyongyang Municipal People's Assembly for over ten years. She is working hard today, too, keeping the appellation of "our deputy" deep in her heart.
