Workers Meet Victim of U.S. Imperialists' Atrocities

Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- A meeting of the working class and trade union members with a victim of the U.S. imperialist aggressors' atrocities took place at the plaza of the Central Class Education House on Thursday ahead of June 25, the day of struggle against U.S. imperialism.

Present there were Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, officials of the trade unions and workers and trade union members in Pyongyang.

Ri Ok Hui, a victim of the brutal atrocities committed by the U.S. imperialist aggressors during the Fatherland Liberation War, made a speech at the meeting.

Saying that she can not forget the tragedy that the dear native villages and workplaces where the happy life of the people had been brought into full bloom were reduced to a sea of flames and slaughter yard due to the war of aggression ignited by the U.S. imperialists, she bitterly condemned the cruelty and brutality of the murderers.

All should turn out in steadily bolstering up the country's defence capability and overwhelming strength in order to prevent the history of grudges from repeating on this land, she said, calling for wiping out the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet group of traitors running amuck to bring the dark clouds of a nuclear war to the sky above this land and making the enemies pay dearly for the blood shed by Korean people.

Then followed speeches.

Saying that the hot-blooded outcry which echoed on this land during the three-year war is still heard, the speakers expressed their will to mercilessly punish the U.S. imperialists, the murderers who left indelible wounds in the minds of the Korean people.

If the U.S. imperialists dare ignite a war again against the DPRK, a military power possessing the strongest nuclear deterrence, oblivious of their defeat in the 1950s, the Korean people will surely conclude the confrontation with the U.S. by dint of the bayonet of revenge which they have bolstered up for decades, the speakers stressed.

At the end of the meeting the participants visited the Central Class Education House. -0-
