From Voice of KoreaTraces of Revolution Left on Heavy Snow of Mt. Paektu

The snow-capped Mt. Paektu seen from a distance looks like a large pile of snow, and looking down the snow-covered country from its top gives the feeling of a huge ship on the sea of snow. Mt. Paektu is 2,750 metres above the sea level.
The mountain is a symbol of Korea and the symbol of Mt. Paektu is a vast sea of trees and heavy snow adding grandeur to the mountain which has firmly supported the country for a long period.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is a brilliant commander of the Paektu who has demonstrated the great strength and position of the state all over the world and ushered in the period of a great leap forward in the developing revolution, overcoming all the difficulties single-handedly with his strong will of Mt. Paektu.
The Korean people warmly remember the sacred traces he left in the revolutionary battlefields of Mt. Paektu pulsating with the lifeblood of the revolution and ardent patriotism.
Three years ago in early December Juche 108(2019), Kim Jong Un visited the battle sites in Mt. Paektu together with leading personnel of the revolution.
He looked round the battlefields of the Paektu, riding horseback on the Paektu plateau, forcing his way through the knee-deep virgin snow and warming himself at a bonfire, to experience the sacred history of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle beset with all sorts of hardships and ordeals.
Cherishing the sacred footprints of the great leader Kim Il Sung and the noble soul of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners permeated in the battlefields, he made the rounds of the revolutionary battle sites in Mt. Paektu including the Chongbong and Konchang Bivouacs, Rimyongsu District and the Mudubong, Kanbaeksan and Taegakbong Secret Camps.

Kim Jong Un said: The Paektu plateau is like a grand open-air revolutionary museum full of revolutionary treasures of great significance in the education in revolutionary traditions. Every tree and every blade of grass on the Paektu plateau seem to be associated with the soul of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners who fought bloody battles to liberate the country.
It is a consistent resolve and will of the Workers' Party of Korea to defend, carry forward and develop forever the glorious revolutionary traditions that started in the Paektu and overcome the trials of the revolution and open up the road of advance in the indomitable offensive spirit based on the great traditions, he added.
Keeping the noble will of the brilliant commander of the Paektu deep in their hearts, the entire Korean people continue the march that started on Mt. Paektu.
The immortal traces left by Kim Jong Un on the heavy snow of Mt. Paektu represent the firm faith and iron will of the Party Central Committee to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche with the revolutionary traditions of the Paektu as the lifeline.
