Pyongyang, July 2 (KCNA) -- The respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un gave field guidance to the Sinuiju Textile Mill. He went round the room dedicated to education in the revolutionary history and the room dedicated to the history of the mill. Noting that the Sinuiju Textile Mill, which went into operation in September 1959 thanks to the benevolent step taken by President Kim Il Sung, has a long history and tradition in producing cloth necessary for the people's living, Kim Jong Un said that all the spindles and looms of the mill are associated with efforts of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who devoted themselves to solving the people's clothing problem. Going round various places of the mill, he learned in detail about its production and management. He was briefed on the reality of the mill failing to fulfill its national economic plan every year and felt heartbroken to see the experienced mill, which is much associated with the leadership exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and had made positive contribution to the development of the light industry of the country in the past period, not retaining its proud tradition. Learning about the supply service of the mill and the living conditions of its employees, he pointed out that its party committee had not paid attention to the work for improving the employees' working and living conditions. He set forth the detailed tasks and ways for rebuilding the mill on a modern basis as required by the present era, saying that to radically develop the textile industry is very important in making a breakthrough for the improvement of the people's standard of living. He said that the officials and workers of the mill should remodel the production buildings and the inside and outside of the mill while putting its production processes on a scientific and modern basis till the next year marking the 60th founding anniversary and thus proudly review the fact that the mill has grown to be a leading textile mill greatly conducive to the people's standard of living under the guidance of the great Party. He designated the site for building hostel and took a step for mobilizing the powerful building force, saying that he was told that the hostellers of the mill envied hostels of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill and the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill provided by the Party and that he would provide a hostel as wonderful as them. Accompanying him were An Jong Su, Hwang Pyong So, Han Kwang Sang, Kim Song Nam, Jo Yong Won, O Il Jong and Hwang Yong Chol, senior officials of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. -0-
