Mass demonstrations calling for improved educational and living conditions are now spreading like wildfire throughout the whole of Europe, causing social instability in those countries.

It is reported that demonstrations in different parts of Europe are causing considerable damage as they are growing into violence including the collision with the police.

The demonstrators protested that they can hardly afford to live due to the poor conditions of education, sky-rocketing rent, high cost of living and the rise in fuel price. The demonstrators vented their anger over the authorities’ behavior, complaining that politicians only pursue the interests of their political parties without paying heed to the people’s demands.

Japan sees more and more youngsters giving up marriage owing to their failure to afford the unreasonably expensive wedding costs and houses. It gives rise to another social problem.

Whereas the capitalist societies are busy with taking actions to ease public uproar, the DPRK thoroughly orientates every state and social affair to promoting the people’s wellbeing.

As being seen by the world, the Workers’ Party of Korea and the DPRK government, ever since the foundation, have remained faithful to their intrinsic mission and idea of taking responsibility for the people’s destiny and defending their interests, and have consistently adopted and implemented policies in favor of the working masses no matter how hard and unfavorable the subjective and objective circumstances might be.

Our Party and government provide the modern dwellings newly built at high cost to ordinary working people free of charge. In recent years, many socialist policies have also been expanded and introduced for the promotion of the people’s welfare - including the new childcare policy, the program of rural revolution in the new era and the new-era revolution in public health.

The WPK and the DPRK government formulate policies and lines for the people’s rights and interests as well as the promotion of their wellbeing and firmly implement them at every historic stage of the development of revolution. Thanks to the benefits granted by the Party and government, the Korean people will surely enjoy better life year after year.
