BGSJI and KFA UK support the press statement of DPRK UN representative Kim Song

The British Group for the Study of the  Juche Idea(BGSJ)) and the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) issued a joint statement supporting the press statement of  Kim Song, permanent representative of the DPRK to the UN that was issued on the 6th of May ;

At present there is the 11th review conference of the so-called "Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty "(NPT ) is under way . At the conference some countries such as the US have taken issue with the DPRK's nuclear status even the DPRK is a non NPT country ..

In response comrade Kim Song the DPRK representative to the UN said that 'I denounce and reject in the strongest tone the brigandish and shameless acts of certain countries including the U.S. which are taking issue with the DPRK's realistic and just access to nuclear weapons'

The DPRK has not been a member of the so-called  NPT since 2003 , a total of 23 years . Representative Kim Song points that the DPRK's withdrawal from the NPT was fully transparent and in accordance with article 10 of the treaty. Therefore the US and other Western countries have no legitimate reason to demand the DPRK's compliance with the treaty.

Moreover it is the US and the Western powers that are themselves undermining the NPT and eroding its legality by their two-faced actions . The US is abusing the NPT .

The legal status of the DPRK as a nuclear power cannot be changed by any rhetoric or trying to invoke this or that treaty . The DPRK nukes are here to stay whether the US and other Western countries or not.

Therefore we support the press statement of representative Kim Song very strongly.
