Victory Achieved Generation after Generation

  The revolutionary armed forces of Korea took their historical root on April 25, 1932. On the day, the history of the powerful revolutionary army started, which has won only victories in the fight with the formidable imperialist forces for more than 90 years.

  The revolutionary armed forces of Korea accomplished the great historic cause of national liberation, defeated the armed invasion of the US-led imperialist allied forces and performed distinguished military achievements while defending the country and people in the whole period of the revolution and construction.

  A military parade was held in the capital city of Pyongyang on April 25, 2022 in celebration of the 90th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army.

  Lining up at Kim Il Sung Square in the capital city were all sorts of latest arms and equipment showing the development of the armed forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea strengthened much further than 90 years ago when the first armed unit declared a do-or-die battle against the aggressors with some 100 rifles.

 Researcher Ri Hye Suk at the Academy of Social Sciences said the foundation of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army was a national event that declared a do-or-die war against the imperialists under the banner of national liberation and independence based on self-reliance and at the same time, a historic event that opened a new era of the Juche revolution relying on the powerful armed forces. She continued:

  "In the military parade the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said: The glorious 90-year journey of our revolutionary armed forces should be continued for another hundred, nay, a thousand years. In the present world where different forces collide fiercely with one another, a nation's dignity and sovereignty and reliable genuine peace are guaranteed by powerful defence capability that can overpower any enemy.

  There is no satisfaction or accomplishment in cultivating strength for defending ourselves, and, whoever we confront, our military supremacy should be more secure. An ever-victorious army must be the eternal name of our People's Army and shine as a priceless honour belonging only to our revolutionary armed forces."

s we have tremendous military forces with the nuclear force as the core, the hostile forces are no longer a threat and fear to us and the armed forces of the DPRK are fully prepared for any type of war wanted by the enemy.

  The true mightiness of the DPRK lies in its desire and will to get constantly powerful without resting content with today's strength.

  The latter half of the 1990s was a grim period in more than 70-year-long history of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

  Socialism collapsed in some countries between the late 1980s and the early 1990s. The imperialists directed the spearhead of attack to the DPRK while talking about the "end of socialism" as regards the tragic situation.

  At the time when the destiny of socialism was at stake, the great leader Kim Jong Il enforced the original Songun (military-first) politics to safeguard the well-being of the country and people.

  Songun politics is a political mode of regarding the military affairs as the most important of the state affairs and defending the dignity of the country and nation and pushing ahead with the socialist construction as a whole with the army as the pillar of the country and the main force of the revolution.

  Kim Jong Il made an uninterrupted long journey based on Songun politics till last moment of his life since he inspected an army post in young pine woods on January 1, 1995.

 

  His traces of Songun politics have been left on the Chol Pass widely known to the Korean people as a symbol of Songun-based revolutionary leadership.

  The Chol Pass has 99 curves along a steep ridgeway.

  Kim Jong Il crossed such precipitous pass early in the morning, deep at night and in all weathers.

  One day, some officials earnestly requested him not to cross the steep Chol Pass any more. At this, Kim Jong Il said: Of course, I know I may fall down the steep cliff by accident while driving up the pass. But I cross the Chol Pass frequently because my beloved soldiers are safeguarding the defense lines of the country while waiting for their Supreme Commander.

  With the will to defend the country and the love for the soldiers, Kim Jong Il found himself on the steep pass and sea route of the country and on the forefront where the enemy were constantly aiming their guns at us.

  The Korean People's Army could be strengthened and developed into an invincible revolutionary army thanks to the Songun politics enforced by Kim Jong Il with do-or-die will at the crossroads of destiny deciding whether to be independent guardsmen or slaves of imperialism.

First Revolutionary Armed Force of Korea

  The Korean People's Revolutionary Army is the first revolutionary armed force in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

  The great leader Kim Il Sung founded the Korean People's Revolutionary Army.

  At the beginning of the 20th century the Korean people waged various struggles against the barbaric colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists who occupied Korea but failed because they were not given a correct guidance.

  In the period of ordeals Kim Il Sung set out on the road of revolution in his teens and held high the banner of the Juche idea.

  Researcher Kim Un Song at the Academy of Social Sciences said Kim Il Sung founded the revolutionary army to win back the lost country, and continued.

  "In fact, it is not easy to found a revolutionary army in a colonial country without national rights, state backing and support of a regular army.

  The great leader Kim Il Sung considered man and weapon to be the essential factors in founding a revolutionary army and solved the issue in our own way according to the actual conditions of Korea while overcoming all the trials and difficulties."

  In order to found a revolutionary army Kim Il Sung rallied behind the armed ranks workers, peasants, students and other patriotic youth of broad stripes loving the country. And he led them to make weapons by themselves while disarming the enemy of their weapons.

  At last, he founded the Korean People's Revolutionary Army on April 25, 1932.

 That day, he called for waging a vigorous armed struggle against the Japanese imperialists to accomplish the historic cause of national liberation.

  With the foundation of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army, the first revolutionary armed force of Korea came into being. And since then, the anti-Japanese national liberation struggle of the Korean people could victoriously advance onto a new high stage with the armed struggle as the main current.

  The Korean People's Revolutionary Army waged the bloody anti-Japanese armed struggle under the leadership of Kim Il Sung, accomplishing the historic cause of national liberation.

  The Korean People's Revolutionary Army founded by Kim Il Sung was strengthened and developed into the Korean People's Army, regular revolutionary armed forces, after liberation.

  Along with April 25, the revolutionary armed forces of Korea have grown into an ever-victorious revolutionary army and their future are bright.

KCNA Commentary Warns against Deployment of B-1Bs

Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- The notorious "death swan" nested in Japan.

According to the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command on April 20, several B-1B strategic bombers of the U.S. Air Force were forward-deployed from the U.S. mainland to the Misawa Air Force base of the U.S. forces in Japan.

Its military significance is in the fact that it is the long-term presence and permanent settlement of the U.S. strategic assets in the depth of the Asia-Pacific region, far from being the temporary deployment for the U.S.-Japan joint drill or for muscle-flexing against regional countries.

As everybody knows, B-1B is one of the strategic bomber triad of the U.S. together with B-52 and B-2 and the enemies are vociferously calling them "death swan".

The deployment of B-1Bs in Japan shows that the military basis of the U.S. which had resorted to the use of force in the Asia-Pacific region with Guam mainly as its launching base and starting position is changing into a more vicious one. This is clearly a very serious development harmful to regional security.

The U.S. is claiming that it is "the first deployment of 'Bomber Task Force' of the U.S. Air Force into Japan that can make sudden sortie anywhere in the world" and that "the deployment contributes to the strengthening of the interoperability between the U.S. and Japan and regional stability" and that it will "show devotion to the free and open Indo-Pacific security." However, it is as clear as noonday how the "death swan" would "dedicate" to security.

The world knows about the "colossal role" the U.S. forces, especially the U.S. strategic assets, which had made their appearance in the Asia-Pacific region, played in destroying the security environment of the region and aggravating the situation.

The U.S. has long been frantic in pressurizing regional countries and expanding military involvement by frequently sending various kinds of strategic bombers and other strategic assets to Japan, ROK and other regions.

Typically, this year alone, the U.S. sent B-1B strategic bombers to the sky around the Korean peninsula for three times to stage joint air drills with its junior allies, thus driving the acute military confrontation on the Korean peninsula, the world's biggest hotspot, into the dangerous phase of conflict.

Not content with this vicious cycle, the U.S. is now trying to increase the level of confrontation targeting regional countries to the highest ever with the Japanese archipelago and the ROK as its outpost by operating strategic assets capable of flying at any time in the depth of the region through the long-term deployment of strategic bombers in Japan.

The "death swan" nested in Japan will not "contribute" to regional security but only serve the U.S. political and military hegemony in the Asia-Pacific region and the formation of the U.S.-led exclusive military bloc.

The U.S. should clearly understand.

The Asia-Pacific region is not a fragile area where the U.S. can move the balance weight of regional security at will with a few strategic bombers.

The U.S. moves to destroy peace and stability by escalating military threats to the Asia-Pacific region will be subject to due counterattack by the regional people. -0-

Respected Fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un Sends Musical Instruments to Newly-built Schools in Flood-hit Areas

Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) --The deep love and affection of the benevolent father who spares nothing for the younger generation and glorifies the bright laughter of the children as the image of Korean-style socialism are overflowing in the schools wonderfully built in the northwestern parts of the DPRK, where the aftereffects of flood damage were removed.

The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un sent pianos, accordions, guitars, oungum, kayagum, harmonicas and other musical instruments as gifts to the schools newly built in the flood-hit areas in North Phyongan, Jagang and Ryanggang provinces.

Last year he took special measures for the education of schoolchildren from the flood-hit areas and personally visited the April 25 Hostel to warmly bless the future of the children. He took a measure to build wonderful schools adding pride to their native villages whose looks had undergone radical changes, and supply modern teaching aids and furnishings, educational equipment and sports apparatuses to them. This time he showed great benevolence of sending many musical instruments to them.

This reflects the meticulous love and affection of the fatherly Marshal who regards the children as priceless treasures and all hope and future and wants the schoolchildren to grow up cheerfully and bravely without envy in the world.

Meetings were held on the spot to convey the musical instruments sent by Kim Jong Un.

The venues of the meetings were in a festive mood with the deep gratitude and joy of the students and teaching staffs who were to receive the gifts.

Present at the meetings were officials of the Party and power organs, officials concerned, teaching staff, students and their parents in North Phyongan, Jagang and Ryanggang provinces. Speeches of conveying the gifts were made at the meetings.

Speakers said with deep emotion that the respected fatherly Marshal, cherishing the noble idea that there are our children before and above the people our Party upholds as Heaven, repeatedly provided the rising generations with dreamy happiness.

Representing the unanimous mind of schoolchildren and their parents, they respectfully extended deep thanks to Kim Jong Un who puts forward education as the first state affair to which priority should be given and the biggest efforts should be directed in any period and at any stage and brings the bright future of the rising generations into full bloom.

They called upon all the officials and teaching staffs to devote themselves to education and upon the students to study hard, take an active part in the organizational life and extracurricular activities and thus prepare themselves to be true sons and daughters of the fatherly Marshal, bearing deep in mind the great love and trust of the motherly Party.

The meetings were held at Hadan Senior Middle School No. 1 in Sinuiju City, Soho Senior Middle School in Uiju County, Kwangmyong Senior Middle School in Songgan County, Muphyong Branch School under Hwaam Primary School in Jonchon County, Sampho Senior Middle School in Kim Hyong Jik County and other schools. After receiving with boundless emotion the gifts associated with the benevolence of the Party, the participants at the meetings said that the embrace of the respected Marshal is the greatest one in the world as he is taking good care of the children across the country with his paternal love and affection as their tender-hearted father and parent would do.

The cheerful laughter of the children and the song We Are the Happiest in the World will resound forever in the clear and blue sky over the country, conveying to the whole world the great benevolence of Kim Jong Un who is cultivating the socialist motherland more brightly and beautifully with his ardent love and boundless affection for the rising generations. -0-

The great leader President KIM IL SUNG founded the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (Anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army ) on the 25th of April 1932 in the forests of Manchuria.

The Korean People's Revolutionary Army was the first revolutionary armed force of Juche , an armed force of self-reliance . It was composed of workers and peasants and fought for national and class liberation. It is the forerunner of today's Korean People's Army .

 BRITISH GROUP FOR THE STUDY OF THE JUCHE IDEA

 The British Group for the Study of the  Juche Idea(BGSJI) and the Korean Friendship Association of the UK( KFA UK), issued a joint statement in support of the press statement titled "No one can infringe upon the sacred right of Koreans in Japan to democratic national education" that was issued by the Korean Jurists Committee of the DPRK on Wednesday 23rd of April;

April 24, 1948 is a very important date in the history the movement of Koreans in Japan as it was  the day when the Koreans in Japan defended the right to democratic national education at the cost of their blood, resolutely countering through a massive struggle the fascist suppression by the U.S. and the Japanese reactionaries to wipe out the Korean schools in their cradle.

In in 1948 the Japanese reactionaries whose strings were pulled by the US imperialists ordered the closure of Korean schools in Japan but Korean residents in Japan rose up in a just struggle to defend the rights of Koreans to democratic national education .They were met with heavy repression by the Japanese reactionaries who even used water cannon against them .

Although 80 years have passed since these events  the Japanese authorities are still trying to obliterate the right of Koreans in Japan to education by various administrative measures such as excluding Korean schools from tax exemption and denying them support .

The right to education is a most basic human right that is enshrined in international law but the wicked Japanese reactionaries are attempting to deny it to Koreans in Japan .

We support the call of the Korean Jurists Committee for the Japanese authorities to immediately withdraw all discriminatory measures against Korean schools in Japan.
