The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea(BGSJI), the Korean Friendship Association of the UK(KFA UK) and the British Solidarity Committee For Peace and Reunification on the Korean peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued the following joint statement in support of the democratic rights of Korean residents in Japan;
It is 75 years since the 'April 24 ' education struggle of Korean residents in Japan . The Korean Democratic Lawyers Association of the DPRK and the Education Commission have issued statements on this occasion and the Korean Central News Agency has published a memorandum .
In April 1948 the Japanese authorities at the instigation of the US tried to shut down schools that had been established for the education of Korean residents. The Korean residents fought back so this became known as the April 24 struggle .
Although 75 years have passed the right of education for Korean residents in Japan is still under attack by the fascist Japanese authorities . The Japanese reactionaries are tried to suppresss the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (CHONGRYON) and deny the right of education to Korean children in Japan .It is a horrendous crime by Japan , which is after all a war criminal state .Japan is acting in a most racist manner !
The democratic rights of Korean residents in Japan must be respected . The Japanese authoritie must not try to shut down Korean schools in Japan !

The International Central Committee For Songun Study issued the following statement on the occasion of the 91st anniversary of the foundation of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army , the forerunner of the Korean People's Army ;
The Korean People's Revolutionary Army(KPRA ) was founded as the Anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army by the great leader President KIM IL SUNG in April 1932 . It was the first revolutionary armed force of Juche as well as being a revolutionary armed force of the workers and peasants of Korea . The KPRA led by the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG , an ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander and gifted military strategist ,fought in the spirit of self-reliance and won many victories over the Japanese imperialist aggressors .Korea was liberated thanks to the efforts and Juche -based , Songun based tactics of the KPRA .
The KPRA became the basis of the regular revolutionary armed forces of Juche Korea, the Korean People's Army (KPA ) . The KPA fully inherited the revolutionary spirit of the KPRA . Under the guidance of President KIM IL SUNG , Chairman KIM JONG IL and Marshal KIM JONG UN , the KPA has been built up as a mighty force of Juche and Songun , strong in both ideology and weaponry .

Right to National Education by Koreans in Japan Is Legitimate and Inviolable: Spokesman for Democratic Lawyers Association of Korea
Pyongyang, April 24 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Democratic Lawyers Association of Korea released a press statement Monday, revealing and denouncing the unethical crimes committed by the Japanese authorities aimed at eliminating the national education of Koreans in Japan.
The fascist suppression of the national education of Koreans in Japan by the Japanese reactionaries was an illegal violence and outrageous challenge in contravention of international law and human ethics from A to Z, the press statement said, and went on:
Now the April 24 education struggle was an event in the past but the Japanese reactionaries steeped in morbid repugnancy and inveterate hostility against the DPRK and the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) still engage in craftier and dirtier ways to eliminate the national education of Koreans in Japan.
Unethical crimes against Korean schools and children of Koreans in Japan are unabated at the tacit connivance of the Japanese authorities, and such "written sentences" fraught with national chauvinist ideas as "shutdown ordinance" are still sent to Chongryon schools at all levels nonstop.
The right to national education of Koreans in Japan is a legitimate and inalienable right specified even in international law including the UN convention on children's rights and the UNESCO convention on opposition of discrimination against education as well as basic law of Japan on education.
No matter how tricky the Japanese authorities may become to justify their moves on the international arena to eliminate national education of Koreans in Japan, can they never deny nor conceal the past and on-going unethical crimes against the Korean schools and Korean children.
The Koreans in Japan are under the strong protection of the law of the DPRK on defending the rights and interests of overseas Koreans.
The violation of the democratic national rights and interests of Koreans in Japan precisely means the violation of the sovereignty and national right of the dignified DPRK.
The DPRK already sounded a warning alarm to those countries that took the advantage of the U.S. alliance strategy and began to get inveigled in the act of depriving the DPRK of its sacred dignity and sovereignty.
The Japanese authorities will certainly get a big deal if they persist in the unethical crimes of eliminating the national education of Koreans in Japan while making mockery of international law and human rights, in defiance of our repeated warnings and the strong denunciation and rejection by the international community.
The Japanese authorities must face up to the trend of the times and stop at once the crackdown of the democratic national education of Chongryon, before it is too late. -0-

It is said that from a small acorn, a mighty oak grows. This is certainly true of the invincible Korean People’s Army(KPA) commanded by respected Marshal KIM JONG UN which is today equipped with the latest weapons, including ICBMs. and technology. The origins of the KPA go back further than its foundation as a regular armed force in February 1948. In fact, the KPA origins go back to the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army which was founded as the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerrilla Army on the 25th of April 1932 by the great leader President KIM IL SUNG.
President KIM IL SUNG, a man of action, decided that Korea could not be liberated by words alone, the road of non-violence was a dead end in Korea (and indeed elsewhere) so believing that “Weapons are our life and soul! Oppose armed force with armed force! He embarked on the road of armed struggle. At the historic Kalun meeting in June 1930 President KIM IL SUNG put forward the line of armed struggle for the Korean revolution, the Juche-oriented road in his famous speech “The Path of the Korean Revolution “. In July 1930 the Korean Revolutionary Army was founded.
On the 25th of April 1932 in Antu, Manchuria President KIM IL SUNG formed the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerrilla Army(AJPGA ) , a revolutionary armed force composed of workers, peasants and revolutionary youth. In March 1934 became the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army (KPRA). The KPRA was guided by the Juche Idea.
In its early days, the KPRA almost had to fight the Japanese imperialists with bare hands. The KPRA seized weapons from the Japanese imperialists or manufactured their own . Some fighters of the KPRA entertained the hope that the Soviet Union, the first workers and peasants state, would build a hand-grenade factory for them but this did not materialise so President KIM IL SUNG put the Juche idea and self-reliance into practice, creating the Yongil bomb made with locally available resources. The Yongil bomb struck terror into the Japanese imperialists.
The KPRA fought many battles against the million-strong Kwantung Army of Japanese imperialism and the puppet Manchurian troops of Japanese imperialism. The KPRA was vastly outnumbered by the Japanese imperialists. The Japanese imperialist armed forces not only outnumbered the KPRA but were armed to the teeth. They had the latest weaponry including tanks and planes. However thanks to the Juche-based guerilla tactics of President KIM IL SUNG and his brilliant commandership the KPRA defeated the Japanese imperialists in battles such as Pochonbo and Musan,to name just a few,
Thanks to the self-sacrificing struggle of the guerillas of the KPRA under the command of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG, an ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander and a gifted military strategist, Korea was liberated from the barbarous Japanese imperialists on the 15th of August 1945. In February 1948 the KPRA was transformed into a regular armed force, the Korean People’s Army.
The KPA which inherited the revolutionary traditions of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army defeated US imperialism in the great Fatherland Liberation War (known as the Korean War in the West)which lasted from 1950 to 1953 . In the subsequent confrontation between the DPRK and US after the war , the KPA commanded by President KIM IL SUNG and later Chairman KIM JONG IL , was victorious. It inflicted notable defeats on the US in the ‘ Pueblo incident ‘ of 1968 , the EC121 incident of 1969 and the Panmunjom Incident of 1976.
In recent years the US imperialists and south Korean fascist puppets have run wild to stifle Korean-style socialism carrying massive military provocations but the KPA commanded by respected Marshal KIM JONG UN who is identical to President KIM IL SUNG and Chairman KIM JONG IL has firmly safeguarded the independence of the DPRK and its destiny, not allowing the US imperialists to encroach one millimetre on the sacred territory of the DPRK. It is the only army in the world that the US imperialists are afraid of.

Thanks to the leadership of President KIM IL SUNG, Chairman KIM JONG IL and Marshal KIM JONG UN, the revolutionary armed forces of People’s Korea have come a very long way from their beginnings on the 25th of April 1932.

Education Commission of the DPRK Urges Japanese Authorities to Stop All Acts of Discriminating and Persecuting National Education of Chongryon
Pyongyang, April 24 (KCNA) -- A spokesperson for the Education Commission of the DPRK in a press statement Monday said the fierce April 24 education struggle waged in different parts of Japan in 1948 was the first united struggle of the Koreans in Japan against the U.S. and Japanese reactionaries' barbarous suppression of the right to national education.
Right after the liberation of Korea, the Koreans in Japan built over 500 Korean schools in different parts of Japan wherever Koreans lived, by dedicating strength, knowledge and money, proceeding from the single intention to retake spoken and written Korean languages and Korean history and culture that had been usurped by the Japanese imperialists, and instill the soul of the nation into their children, after receiving the speech of triumphal return made by President Kim Il Sung, the press statement said, and went on:
Considering the enforcement of national education by Koreans in Japan as a thorn in the flesh, the Japanese reactionary authorities announced "shutdown ordinance" of Korean schools in 1948, at the instigation of the U.S. imperialists. Enraged by this, Koreans in Japan formed the Measure Committee for Education of Koreans and turned out in the mass struggle to defend Korean schools.
The Japanese authorities can never get rid of the crimes of suppressing the sacred right to national education of Koreans in Japan after Japan's defeat in the war, instead of apologizing for their crimes to the Korean nation during the Japanese imperialist colonial rule.
Long time has passed since the April 24 education struggle, but the Japanese authorities remain unchanged in their hostile attitude to the democratic national education of Koreans in Japan, and have become all the more crafty and vicious than before.
No matter how frantic the Japanese authorities may go to scuttle the national education of Koreans in Japan, can they never stem nor stop the just struggle of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan who are tending the large flower garden of national education overflowing with virtue and feelings amid the special loving care shown by the socialist homeland and the active support by the people in the homeland.
Today the DPRK is demonstrating its might as a power, dignified with independence and self-respect, as it is led by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, and the Koreans in Japan are the eternal family members with the blood of the socialist homeland.
The Education Commission strongly urges the U.S. and the Japanese authorities to repent of and apologize for their brutal suppression of the just April 24 education struggle of Koreans in Japan, and the Japanese authorities to immediately stop all sorts of mean acts of discriminating and persecuting the national education of Chongryon. -0-

People Move into New Houses in Hwasong Area of DPRK
Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- People began to move into new apartment houses in the Hwasong area of Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, where a new street appeared as a grand monument symbolizing the great era of the Korean-style socialist construction.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un attended the inauguration ceremony of the first-stage 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area and cut the inauguration tape and hoped the working people moving into the new houses would enjoy a happy, harmonious and worthwhile life generation after generation.
Trucks carrying household goods arrived in the new street one after another from July 21, a thriving street under socialism associated with the love of the great father to provide our people with all happiness.
Officials of the construction headquarters for 50 000 flats in Pyongyang city, commanding officers of the Korean People's Army who took part in the housing construction, officials of the Party and power organs in the city and military-civilian builders congratulated working people who moved into the modern houses given by the Party and the state free of charge.
Dancing parties were displayed in different parts of the street and voices of people's gratitude to the motherly Party could be heard from each house in the new street. -0-
