The media campaign against the DPRK has continuined unabated against the PRK in the last few months.The US controlled corporate media pulls out
all the stops to vilify the DPRK and the Juche idea and its system and its leaders.More often they use recycled lies from the south Korean
puppet regime.Quite ridiculous and silly stories which if they had any common sense at all they would not publish;two examples
"Defector claims secret tunnel network stretching for 20 miles".This turned out to the utterances of a certain discredited senile individual
who run away 13 years ago.This included the claim that there was "green grass growing in them" which of course is scientifically impossible!
"Women banned from wearing trousers"-source was a shadowy south Korean body "Good Friends".Now anybody who has been to the DPRK knows just how
ridiculous this is !KPA women troops,women Worker-Peasant Red Guards, policewomen,hospital staff,farm workers and railway staff all wear
trousers.How silly can get but Reuters,Yahoo and google all used this story.
More sophicated and subtle propaganda is made about the DPRK's system,leadership and also the economy.
Chairman Kim Jong Il is an elected leader.In the DPRK 99.98% of the electorate vote and has a 100% affirmative vote.This contrasts with the
low turnouts in Western countries where many leaders have a mandate of less than 50% of the electorate.Chairman Kim Jong Il spends most of
his time carrying out on the spot guidance,even some Western news agencies conceded that his on the spot guidance has doubled compared
to last year.Rather than being from a privilieged background as both a high school and university he took part in physical labour as
part the effort to reconstruct Pyongyang.He also worked at the Pyongyang Textile Machinery Plant on Lathe 26.
The DPRK does face severe sanctions from the US and UN.However although this may create difficulties the DPRK has a self reliant economy.If
south Korea faced such sanctions it would collapse within weeks as it is heavily dependent on foreign markets,investments,loans and imported
raw materials.However the DPRK built up an independent national economy and very recently developed the 'Juche steelmaking process' of making
iron and steel without coking coal using domestic resources.
Last year the DPRK registered a great leap forward in production during the 150 and 100 day campaigns.Computer numerically controlled machine tools
which massively boost productivity are being widely introduced.Massive investment in housing is being carried out with 100,000 new flats being
constructed in Pyongyang.As the DPRK has a planned economy with prices ontrolled by the State Planning Commission and Price Control ministry
it cannot have inflation.A currency revaluation was succesfully carried out at the end of November 2009.
The intention of the media's false propaganda is several fold.Firstly the demonise the DPRK so it to make aggression against the DPRK acceptable
to the public-this was done with the Saddam regime during the run up to the Iraq war,with Serbia in the 1990s and during the cold war against the
socialist bloc.Secondly to isolate the DPRK and deprieve it of support. Thirdly to stop the DPRK being seen as an alternative or example,

Statement of JISGE and ASSPUK on US imperialist aggressive war exercises
ASSOCIATION FOR THE STUDY OF SONGUN POLITICS UK

Today the Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK and the Juche Idea Study Group of England issued the following joint statement in connection with the "Foal Eagle" and "Key Resolve "exercises to be staged in Korea from the 8th of March to 18th of March.
The ASSPUK and JISGE express their deep concern that such exercises will take place.Moroever we stridently and militantly denounce the US imperialists for holding such exercises.The exercises are being held at a time when tension on the Korean peninsula is rising due to the attitude of the Lee Myong Bak puppet clique as well the moves of the US imperialists.The south Korean puppet regime have made repeated provocations in the
West sea and tried to impose the bogus so called "northern limit line".
As the situation is already tense due to the provocations of the south Korean puppet regime there is no guarntee that "Key Resolve" and "Foal Eagle" would not turn into a real war very quickly .Indeed "Key Resolve" and "Foal Eagle" are simply the old "Team Spirit" exercises under a new name.They are war provocation exercises plain and simple.The aim of the US imperialists and the bloodstained Lee Myong Bak puppet clique is to overpower the DPRK by force and to stifle people centred socialism.These aggressive war exercises come at a when the US imperialists and world reactionary forces are trying hard to stile the Juche socialist system of the DPRK by means of "sanctions" which are in themselves an act of aggression against the dignified DPRK.
The exercises also coincide with plans made public by the south Korean puppets to overpower ,take over the DPRK destroy the socialist system of the DPRK .This would mean an extension of US imperialist colonial rule to the north of Korea.Thus the aggressive exercises assume a sinister complexion and are a challenge not only to peace on the Korean peninsula but East Asia and the world.
These exercises show the falsity of the so called "dialogue" and "peace" loudly advertised by the US imperialists and the two faced Obama regime.If the US truly desires the resumption of the 6 party talks they must revoke the sanctions and also cancel the "Foal Eagle" and "Key Resolve".
We demand that the US imperialists and south Korean puppet warrhawks cancel the "Key Resolve" and "Foal Eagle" exercises straight away and further that the US imperialists pull their aggression troops out of south Korea and that the Lee Myong Bak stop forthwith their anti reunification,anti DPRK noise.
We support the statement of the General Staff of the Korean Peoples Army made on the 25th of February.We believe that the KPA and Korean people can deliver a towering blow to the aggressors if they are so foolish to ignite a war.
We call all Juche idea and Songun idea followers as well anyone who values independence and justice to rally around the DPRK,the land of Juche and bastion of world socialism as the next coming weeks will be a crucial time.

UK KFA Today issued a statement condemning the "Foal Eagle and "Key Resolve"
War exercises.
The UK Korean Friendship Association protests very strongly about
the decision of the US and south Korean authorities to stage the
"Foal Eagle" and "Key Resolve" exercises in south Korea from
March 8 to March 18th.
The exercises involve 18,000 troops as well civilians and
are clearly aimed at invading the DPRK.
These exercises come at a time when the US imperialists and south Korean
puppets are increasing tension by staging provocations in the West Sea
and insisting on the bogus "northern limit line".Also they come on
top of statements from the south Korean puppet regime about overthrowing
the
DPRK governments.
The "Foal Eagle" and "Key Resolve" exercises prove the falsity
of the so called "dialogue" being continually touted by the US imperialists
and others.
These exercises are aimed at intimidating the DPRK to stop it fully
exercising it sovereign rights as well to stifle its socialist system by
force of aims.

We demand that the "Foal Eagle" and "Key Resolve" exercises are cancelled

| Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialists and the warmongers of the south Korean puppet army finally announced that they would stage the DPRK-targeted Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises from March 8. In this regard a spokesman for the General Staff of the Korean People's Army released the following statement Thursday: Massively involved in the exercises will be more than 18,000-strong forces including over 10,000 U.S. imperialist aggression troops present in south Korea and ultra-modern military hardware as well as army corps-level, fleet command-level and flying corps-level units of the south Korean puppet army and even civilian forces. The enemies describe the exercises as "annual ones" and "defensive" but they are pilot operations and nuclear war exercises aimed to preempt a surprise attack on the DPRK, to all intents and purposes. From the outset of the year the warmongers of the south Korean puppet army in collusion with the U.S. imperialists have frantically staged mid-winter tactical exercise, large-scale coordinated ground exercise and other exercises of various codenames, while talking about a "preemptive attack" over self-defensive nuclear deterrent of the DPRK. This is by no means accidental. This brought to light their true colors as war fanatics keen to bring dark clouds of a nuclear war to hang over the inviolable land, while seeking escalated tensions and confrontation only. We will not remain a passive onlooker to this grave situation created by the provokers. If the U.S. imperialists and south Korean warmongers launch the joint military exercises for aggression, ignoring our repeated warnings, we will react to them with our powerful military counteraction, and if necessary, mercilessly destroy the bulwark of aggression by mobilizing all the offensive and defensive means including nuclear deterrent. |

| Pyongyang, February 19 (KCNA) -- Piffles that "economic reward" will be given to the DPRK if it dismantles its nuclear weapons are heard from countries around the Korean Peninsula these days. Some of them have gone the lengths of talking nonsense that it is necessary to stop giving such rewards as providing foodstuff, fuel, loan, etc., if the DPRK persistently refuses to dismantle its nuclear weapons and they "will not use money for persuading it into returning to the six-party talks." In a word, their utterances mean giving sort of "economic reward" to the DPRK in return for the dismantlement of its nukes. This is nothing but sophism that can be let loose only by the worst fools in the world who do not know how things are going there. The DPRK had access to the nuclear deterrent by spending a stupendous amount of money while tightening belt and weathering out all sorts of difficulties and ordeals. This was a measure for self-defence to cope with the U.S. nuclear threat. This is aimed neither to threaten others nor to get any "economic benefit" or reward. Those who talked the above-said nonsense are sadly mistaken if they think the DPRK may do such a stupid thing as dismantling its nukes in anticipation of "economic reward" from outsiders. The DPRK has settled everything on its own and with its wisdom, not depending on others. This is the historic review of its socialist construction. It is only those stupid that can think the DPRK may barter its nuclear deterrent for a petty amount of money in "economic aid." Their assumption is so nonsensical that it is hard to tell whether their foolish behavior was prompted by their ignorance of the reason why the DPRK is boosting its nuclear deterrent or they were making far-fetched assertion, feigning ignorance of it. The DPRK was compelled to have access to the nuclear deterrent for self-defence to protect the supreme interests and security of the country from the U.S. increasing nuclear threat. It was none other than the U.S. that pushed the DPRK to acquiring nuclear deterrent and it is, therefore, wholly to blame for the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula. It is the brigandish logic for the U.S., the arch criminal posing a nuclear threat to the DPRK, to demand it dismantle its nuclear weapons. The DPRK's dismantlement of its nuclear weapons can never happen even if the earth is broken to pieces unless the hostile policy towards the DPRK is rolled back and the nuclear threat to it removed. This is the consistent independent stand and principle of the DPRK. The hostile forces including the U.S. are now working hard to force the DPRK to disarm itself and pursuing extreme confrontation with it. They are under an increasing pressure from their own countries and other parts of the world to withdraw the nuclear weapons deployed by them there. Much upset by this development, the U.S. is becoming vociferous about the DPRK's nuclear activity in a bid to use it as a pretext for steadily bolstering up its nuclear weapons. All facts go to prove that the master key to truly breaking the deadlock in the process to settle the nuclear issue on the peninsula lies in the U.S. drop of its hostile policy towards the DPRK. The DPRK's nuclear deterrent for self-defence will remain as ever and grow more powerful to protect the sovereignty and dignity of the nation as long as the U.S. nuclear threat and hostile policy persist. The Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea is the motherland of Juche and true socialist country where people enjoy independent and creative rights.It is the bastion of socialism and world peace.World progressive and peace loving people cannot tolerate any attempt however trivial by the anti patriotic south Korean puppet fascist regime and its masters the US imperialists and other imperialist reactionaries.Such moves are designed not only to destroy the people centred socialist system of the DPRK but also destablise the Asia Pacfic region.
It is the far fetched daydream of the south Korean puppets to extend "liberal democracy" to the north of Korea,in reality this would mean extending US colonialism and southKorean fascism to the north and the heartrending loss of the benefits of the advantageous socialist system in the north such as full employment and health care.
