Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Visits Construction Site of Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm to Encourage Young Builders

Pyongyang, January 3 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, visited the construction site of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm on Jan. 2 to congratulate and encourage all the young vanguard members and soldier-builders who greeted the significant new year in the struggle to glorify the Ninth Congress of the WPK with proud labour achievements.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was accompanied by leading officials of the WPK Central Committee and the Ministry of National Defence of the DPRK.

The young builders, who met Kim Jong Un whom they had been longing to see so much even in their dreams in the second morning of the new year, were filled with great excitement and joy.

When Kim Jong Un got off his private train, all the young builders fervently cheered with great reverence for him who paid his first visit in the significant new year to their construction site to offer them his warm parental greeting of best wishes.

Kim Jong Un greatly encouraged the young people, officers and soldiers who added glory to the noble name of their generation before the times and history out of boundless patriotism, loyalty and indomitable pioneering spirit and through a heroic struggle, deeming the Party's regional development plan and decision a supreme order.

He made a meaningful congratulatory speech.

Saying that he had come there in haste right after the national events in Pyongyang to start the new year of 2026 together with the young vanguard members and soldier builders, who are greeting the new year in the northwestern tip of the country far away from their families and dear home, he extended warm greetings of encouragement to them on behalf of the Party Central Committee, the government of the Republic and all the people.

Saying that the young builders all came to the grand construction site, to which the Party and the state pay importance, so as to transform the island area, once severely hit by natural disaster, into an ideal greenhouse town symbolic of the new era in more than 500 days, he noted that during those days they opted for hardship and self-cultivation, instead of enjoyment and comfort, regarding it as a worthwhile choice of their youth, and cultivated their strong will and enthusiastic spirit of being able to overcome difficulties, make innovations and do patriotic work, and this is a valuable asset of life to be bought with nothing.

Witnessing the great strength of the youth and the edifices, all associated with enthusiasm and sincerity of our younger generation, our people are picturing the eternal prosperity of their country, he said, adding that seeing them growing up to be robust, the people also get convinced of the continuity of Korean-style socialism. He noted that there is no such younger generation as the Korean youth in the world and this is something very pleasant and satisfactory for the WPK responsible for the future destiny of the country.

Saying that the large combined greenhouse farm is nearing the moment when it will be presented as a gift of loyalty to the glorious Congress of the motherly Party, he noted that he would have a picture taken with them on the day of its inauguration in the transformed area and the Ninth Congress of the WPK would greet the proud young people in the plaza of the April 25 House of Culture where they started their courageous advance.

He proposed that the youth vanguard and soldier-builders, brave new-generation pioneers, gave cheers of "Hurrah!" in chorus in reflection of the boundless respect and love for the motherland to make their sky-high morale be felt in Pyongyang and all other parts of the country and through the earth.

All the young builders shouted loud "Hurrah!" for the DPRK, the glorious motherland of all the people, which will prosper forever.

Kim Jong Un met and warmly encouraged the labour innovators.

All the participants made enthusiastic cheers as a token of their boundless gratitude to the tender-hearted father.

Expressing expectation and belief that the young builders, who are fully demonstrating the revolutionary spirit and creation mettle peculiar to our army and the heroic stamina and fighting spirit peculiar to the DPRK youth in the vanguard of the sacred struggle for the comprehensive development of the country, would more courageously and dynamically struggle for the great and noble ideal of the DPRK and its bright future, he warmly waved at them for a long time.

All the young vanguard members and soldier-builders loudly chanted slogans calling for devotedly defending the Party Central Committee and implementing the Party policies, looking up to Kim Jong Un, who has put the highest value on the life and feats of youth dedicated to the prosperity of the country and encourages them to wage a dynamic struggle and achieve a great victory.

That day Kim Jong Un looked round the area of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm nearing its inauguration.

The huge construction project and assembly of greenhouse equipment have been completed perfectly and landscaping of the area is now progressing vigorously at the final stage.

Recalling with deep emotion the days when he came up and pushed ahead with a new regional development plan to establish a large combined greenhouse farm on a bank of the Amnok River where a new life of socialism had settled after eradicating the aftermath of a natural disaster, Kim Jong Un feasted his eyes on the precious asset of the country.

Through the construction of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm, we have more deeply realized the truthfulness of the self-sustenance and its great power and came to more clearly observe the level of the working spirit and creativity we have firmly cemented and developed, he said, expressing his firm will to more ambitiously plan the undertakings for the promotion of the wellbeing of the people across the country and radical transformation of the regions and strenuously implement them.

Highly appreciating the patriotic zeal and devoted efforts of young builders who have written a new legendary tale of gigantic transformation, sharing the breath and keeping pace with the Party, he referred to the issues of successfully finishing the landscaping of the farm and a series of tasks to be fulfilled in its operation and management in the future and gave an instruction on its inauguration.

His field guidance at the construction site of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm will be etched as a historic visit that instilled redoubled strength and encouragement into all the people, service personnel of the People's Army and the youth across the country making steady progress with gigantic creation and transformation toward the Ninth Congress of the Party to greet it with brilliant victories and glory. -0-

Pyongyang, January 3 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made a congratulatory speech to the young people and soldier-builders engaged in the construction of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm.

Comrades, young people and officers and soldiers,

I have come here just after the national celebration to share the beginning of 2026 with you, who are greeting the new year while working at the northwestern tip of the country.

I have many things to do, but I have come here with the thought that I have to make a warm congratulatory and rallying speech to you, who are greeting the new year, working hard here far away from your families and dear homes.

Comrades,

I warmly congratulate you on greeting the new year 2026.

You deserve congratulations extended by the whole country.

You have really done a great thing.

I offer thanks to you for your efforts, with which you are erecting a monumental edifice of the times on a northwestern border of the country with your youthful strength and vigour; and greeting the new year, I convey to you salutation in the name of the Central Committee of our Party, the government of our Republic and all our people.

I really feel pleased and encouraged to see the ranks of our young people, who all look sturdier and more stalwart in the new year.

You look more dignified and manly than the columns standing in array for a military parade.

I really feel proud of you, who have turned out for this grand construction project, to which the Party and the state attach importance, and completely transformed this island, which was afflicted by a disaster, into an ideal country town in the new era within 500-odd days. I want to make a boast of you before the world.

With your spectacular feats, you have added brilliance to your glorious fame and etched the appearance of the Korean youth in the most stirring decade of our era.

I feel the real value of and always thankful for waging the revolution together with the ranks of the hot-blooded youth who are faithful and courageous all the time in supporting and implementing the plans and determination of our Party, together with the powerful artists of creation who are writing a new chapter of history of transformation through an unyielding pioneering struggle for the future.

I have made frequent visits to the construction site of this farm and today, at the outset of the new year, I have come here again not only because what you have done is enormous and important.

But it is because, with the gigantic construction struggle to transform this part of the country progressing further, I have felt it more valuable and laudable than anything else that our young people and soldier-builders are growing beyond recognition day after day.

You may also feel surprised at, and proud of, yourselves.

You are living your days of precious youth in the period of unprecedented transformation in our state’s development history. In these days you have chosen it to be worthwhile in your youth to experience hardship and training instead of enjoyment and comfort, and have cultivated a passionate spirit and strong will to learn how to overcome difficulties, how to make innovations and how to love your country. The days constitute the most valuable wealth in your life that cannot be bartered for a mountain of gold.

Witnessing the soaring spirit of our young people and seeing every creation associated with the passion and sincerity of our young generation, our people are picturing in their mind their motherland that will prosper forever; and seeing your vigorous growth, they are assured that our style of socialism is being succeeded.

For our Party responsible for the future of the country, this is a source of great happiness and satisfaction, and it is quite natural for me to call on you, our young patriots, first in the new year, to congratulate and encourage you.

Comrades,

Before long, the large-scale greenhouse farm permeated with your sweat and efforts will greet the moment when it will be dedicated as a token of loyalty to the glorious congress of the motherly Party.

And you will leave again for the theatres of gigantic creation at the call of the Party and country.

But the imprints you have left and the exploits you have performed will live long on this miraculous island, which encapsulates the level of development of your motherland that prospers day after day, and your proud creation and growth will be recorded in your autobiographies and the annals of history of the youth movement of our country.

I have no doubt that all the young vanguard and soldier-builders will further raise your indomitable spirit to present this greenhouse farm to the times as a model structure in the era of comprehensive rejuvenation of the state.

On the inauguration day, let us all pose without fail for a photo as souvenir in this place of transformation.

I am convinced that the hope-filled new year 2026 you opened with the priceless successes associated with your intense devotion will also become more glorious and livelier thanks to your burning passion, tremendous courage and wonderful creations.

On the plaza of the April 25 House of Culture, where you made your imposing departure, the Ninth Congress of the Party will greet our laudable young people.

Young vanguard and soldier-builders, who are brave pioneers of a new era,

Two days ago, Pyongyang raised a cheer in chorus for our state.

With a youthful vigour, let us also raise a cheer louder than that in Pyongyang in reflection of our infinite respect and affection for our mother Korea so that it can reverberate in Pyongyang and all other parts of the country and through the earth.

First Entity of Modern Regional Hospitals

 

Recently, media of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea reported the news about the inaugurated Kangdong County Hospital with photos showing widespread excitement across the country.

The Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea held in late December 2024 decided to include the construction of advanced healthcare facility, leisure complex and grain storage facility in the regional development policy designed to build modern regional-industry factories in 20 cities and counties every year. This brought great delight and excitement to all parts of the country probably because it would make it possible for the locals to enjoy the benefits of the modern medical services in their localities, not having to visit the central and provincial hospitals.     

By the way their expectation began to be realized in some 280 days.

It would be easier said than done to build a modern hospital as it is a functional building that requires technical compatibility from the terminals of the infrastructure to medical equipment and appliances. But the DPRK finished the project in less than 10 months after its groundbreaking in February.

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, energetically guided the project by visiting the construction site twice in the 280-odd days, save for the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies. It is evident that the people’s safety and the promotion of their health are always at the forefront of his mind among all the state affairs to transform the regions and build a civilized and prosperous country.  

In addition, the DPRK plans to build six modern medical facilities this year, including the Pyongyang General Hospital inaugurated in October as the parent body of the modernized public health, Kusong City Hospital, Ryonggang County Hospital and first-aid posts in the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area.

It is unbelievable to build so many medical facilities in a year, but there is something more surprising. 

From next year the DPRK will start to build modern regional hospitals in 20 cities and counties every year without fail. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Kangdong County Hospital, Kim Jong Un reportedly said that proclaiming inauguration in the year of groundbreaking is just our mettle and the speed of transformation and advance which we are going to achieve amid an uninterrupted surge–the speed of Korea. Everything is coming true according to his intention, and this is the current reality of the country. The Korean people would have been excited about the inauguration of the Kangdong County Hospital because they must see the bright future that would smile on them as well.

    The  British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea(BGSJI) and the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK  issued the following joint statement on the 5th anniversary of the election of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN as General Secretary of the Workers Party of Korea by the 8th Congress of the Workers Party of Korea (WPK )which was on the 10th of January 

   Five  years have now passed since the historic 8th Congress of the WPK  elected respected Marshal  KIM JONG UN as General Secretary of the WPK on the 10th of January 2021,which placed at the head of the vanguard and supreme general staff of the Korean revolution. The election of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN as general secretary of the WPK reflected the unanimous will and desire of all members of the WPK and the entire Korean people to have him as the head of the Party and the Korean people. It was a great manifestation of the single-hearted unity of the Korean people around the Party and leader as well as at the same time a reflection of the great trust and faith of the Korean people in respected Marshal KIM JONG UN as the supreme leader of the Korean revolution.

During the past few years general secretary respected comrade KIM JONG UN has led the Korean people along the straight road of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, the great and true road of Juche. Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN has worked hard to implement the decisions of the 8th Congress of the WPK. He has led the struggle for socialist construction and initiated many projects. He has worked to continuously improve the living standards of the Korean people. A programme of socialist rural construction has been embarked upon and the new Regional 20 x 10 policy has been implemented. Moreover, he has organised responsible work to resolutely smash anti-socialist and non-socialist behaviours. Also, respected Marshal KIM JONG UN wisely led the work of building up national defence..

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Visits Kumsusan Palace of Sun

 

Pyongyang, January 2 (KCNA) -- All the people across the DPRK are paying the highest tribute to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, eternal leaders of the Party, state and people and great sages of the revolution, greeting the hopeful New Year with the great pride and honor of having successfully concluded the historic struggle of 2025 for the overall development of socialist construction, rallied close around the Workers' Party of Korea.

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on January 1 on the occasion of the New Year 2026.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was accompanied by leading officials of the Party and the government and senior officials of the Party Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Cabinet and ministries.

Also accompanying him were commanding officers of the Ministry of National Defence of the DPRK.

Flower baskets were laid before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Kim Jong Un, together with other visitors, paid high tribute to the statues of the great leaders.

At the halls where the President and the Chairman lie in state, he paid New Year greetings to the great leaders.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Has Photo Session with Schoolchildren Participating in New Year Performance

Pyongyang, January 2 (KCNA) -- Presented on New Year's Day was a picture showing the warm loving care and noble world of the benevolent father who represents the bright smile of the children, the hope and future of the DPRK, as the image of Korean-style socialism.

The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un on January 1 met with the schoolchildren participating in the New Year performance and warmly wished them the bright future.

The venue of the photo session was filled with the schoolchildren's great emotion and joy of meeting the fatherly Marshal, whom they had longed for even in their dreams, on New Year's Day.

When the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un arrived at the venue, members of the Children's Union presented fragrant bouquets to him, representing the deep thanks and New Year's greetings of all the schoolchildren across the country.

Acknowledging the enthusiastic cheers, Kim Jong Un extended warm greetings to all the schoolchildren across the country greeting the New Year.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Greetings to Chairman of Chongryon Central Standing Committee

Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a congratulatory message to Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), on January 1.

The message said:

Seeing in the new year 2026, I extend my warm congratulations and compatriotic greetings to you and all other officials of Chongryon, as well as to other Korean compatriots in Japan.

Last year Chongryon, together with the fellow people in the homeland, celebrated in splendour the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 80th anniversary of national liberation, and on the occasion of its 70th founding anniversary, it also made remarkable progress in writing another greater chapter of the history and tradition of the movement of Koreans in Japan, as it deeply cherished the ennobling spirit of patriotism and historic achievements of its founder generation.

I extend my heartfelt thanks and encouragement to Chongryon officials and other Korean compatriots in Japan for having left sacred imprints of patriotic efforts throughout the year while strenuously coping with innumerable challenges and ordeals in the foreign land.

The new year is a historic one when the Ninth Congress of our Party is to be held. For Chongryon, it is a year of a fresh turning point and transformation, in which it should, at its 26th Congress, advance a clear target and strategy for a new struggle period up to its 80th founding anniversary and take a vigorous step forward towards successfully implementing its patriotic tasks for the first year of the period.

I am fully convinced that Chongryon officials and other Korean compatriots in Japan will, in the new year, too, make substantial progress in carrying out their overall patriotic tasks, including those to be tackled in defending their rights and interests and in bringing up the younger generation, so as to write a glorious page which will shine forever in the history of the movement of Koreans in Japan.

I wish that in the hope-filled new year, our dear children and students in Japan will grow up to be lively, cheerful and upright, and all Chongryon officials and families of our compatriots live happily. -0-
