Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Gives Field Guidance at Major Munitions Enterprises under Second Economy Commission

Pyongyang, May 7 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave field guidance at major munitions enterprises under the Second Economy Commission to learn about the production of shells and the state of machine-building industry.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was accompanied by Jo Chun Ryong, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, Hong Yong Chil, vice department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, and Kim Yong Hwan, president of the Academy of Defence Sciences.

He was greeted by the officials of the relevant enterprises on the spot.

Going round various places of the shell general production enterprise, he learned in detail about the state of production and the expansion of production capacity and the modernization.

The workers, scientists and technicians of the enterprise, who have turned out as one in the campaign to attain the goal of modernizing the defence industry set forth by the Party, have perfectly carried out the stepwise tasks for modernization by carrying out technical revolution and dynamic drive for increased production with high enthusiasm for the struggle and the manner of creation, thus making distinguished growth speed of increasing the shell production 4 times the average year level and nearly twice the peak-year level.

Expressing great satisfaction over the fact that the modernization of the enterprise, which plays a core role in bolstering up the artillery force of the DPRK, has reached a high level and the production capacity of shells has incomparably grown at high speed accordingly, he appreciated that it serves as the clearest proof of the correctness and validity of the orientation of the WPK's policy on modernizing munitions industry.

He said that this remarkable growth of productivity, which was achieved through the combination of the production structure updated in a modern style and innovative technology and the fighting stamina peculiar to our munitions industry workers, takes on a very important meaning in realizing the Party's strategy for the development of national defence, affirming that this will serve as an important factor in increasing the basic fighting efficiency of our armed forces.

Noting that the elated enthusiasm of the munitions industry workers and the campaign for increased production at production sites will give further momentum to the struggle in all fields of the national economy towards the fulfillment of the five-year plan for national economic development, he warmly encouraged the workers of the enterprise, hoping that they would produce more shells to contribute to the expansion of the combat power of our armed forces, bearing in mind that bolstering up the artillery force entirely means strengthening the fighting efficiency of the army and perfecting the fighting preparations.

He stressed the need for the major munitions enterprises, which are ready to start construction or go into operation, to introduce the experience gained in the modernization of this enterprise and accelerate the significant change in bolstering up the armed forces of the DPRK.

He visited a machine building general enterprise and discussed with the accompanying leading officials the new modernization goal of the enterprise and the long-term development of the country's machine-building industry.

He underlined the need to turn the enterprise into a model mother base which plays a pivotal and leading role in the development of the machine-building industry of the country by carrying out to the letter the phased goals, on an annual basis, for attaining the general goal of the report on the development strategy for the machine-building industry of the Second Economy Commission deliberated by the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.

Noting that this important task serves as a decisive guarantee for making the DPRK's defence industry leap forward onto the world-level advanced industry and an important work of strategic significance in cultivating the prospective potential in the field of machine-building industry, he stressed once again the steadfast determination of the Party Central Committee to make sure that the historic task is strictly carried out by the appointed time.

He asked the enterprise to concentrate its efforts on developing and producing more intelligent, high-speed, precision and multi-functional machine-building equipment for raising the production and technical power in the field of munitions industry of the country and various fields of national economy.

Pointing out the shortcomings latent in some issues specified in the report on the development strategy for the machine-building industry and the core policy orientation for the machine-building industry to be consistently held fast to, he assigned the task for launching practical process for the technical upgrading of the machine-building general enterprise at the world level and took important measures for it. -0-

At the end of April  the Russian president and a Russian military commander thanked the DPRK for sending troops who assisted in the liberation of Kursk from the Ukrainian Banderite fascists . On the 28th of April the Central Military Commission (CMC)of the Workers Party of Korea(WPK) issued a statement praising the role of sub units of the Korean People’s Army (KPA ) in liberating Kursk .

This was the first time that the presence of KPA soldiers in Russia was actually confirmed . Previously it had been a matter of conjecture and speculation .The mainstream media and Western politicians spread lurid and hysterical tales about KPA troops ‘invading Ukraine ‘ etc . Naturally , KFA UK which believes in defending People’s Korea with No Ifs or Buts refuted false reports being circulated , Now some people have criticised us saying the mainstream media were right ! Was the mainstream media right ? No it was not !

The basic facts are ;

1.The mainstream media claimed that the KPA troops were in Ukraine when in fact they were in Russia .

2.t was claimed that 10,000 KPA troops and even 15,000 KPA troops were deployed whereas the Statement of the WPK CMC says sub-units of the KPA were deployed , implying a much smaller number. The DPRK in its history has never deployed such a large number of military forces outside the country . Moreover ,Kursk is a geographically limited space so there would not be room for a large contingent of foreign troops .

3.The so-called evidence presented by the mainstream media consisted of fakes , some of them very clumsy . The “Daily Mail “ was caught out using a photoshopped picture of female troops .

4.Related to the above -it was stated that no KPA soldier was captured , that no Korean broke their oath therefore the pictures of captured KPA soldiers were fake .

The KPA sub-units were deployed under the provisions of the treaty between the DPRK and Russia , They played a purely defensive role. The deployment enabled the KPA to gain knowledge of the tactics used by imperialist forces through actual fighting . Moreover the deployment was an example of the DPRK’s internationalism and smashed the slander that the DPRK is a ‘nationalist state ‘ . The DPRK has honourably contributed to the defeat of neo-Nazi-ism in Europe .

Happiness of a Woman Worker

  The Korean people regard it as their greatest honour to meet the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

  Ri Yon Suk at the Pyongyang Bag Factory is one of those who were honoured to meet him twice.

  The Pyongyang Bag Factory is a parent and model factory producing "Sonamu"-trademarked bags for schoolchildren, the future of the country.

  Ri Yon Suk is 41 this year. She remembers the unforgettable day in January 2017 when Kim Jong Un visited the newly built factory.

  That day he said how good it is to provide the schoolchildren with bags made with domestic raw and other materials, and had a photo taken with the employees of the factory.

  Since the day, Ri Yon Suk has worked with the pride and honour of a machinist and regarded the bags she completed as a precious treasure.

  She has made hundreds of thousands of schoolbags over the past nine years.

  Nevertheless, the children carrying the "Sonamu"-trademarked schoolbags, parents helping their kids shoulder the bags every day and teachers do not know all about the efforts of the producers who devote their sincerity to those small bags.

  Kim Jong Un let such ordinary workers be known to the whole country, calling them patriotic workers and reliable cornerstones supporting the country.

  Ri Yon Suk had the honour of having a photo taken with him again on January 2, 2025 on the occasion of the significant New Year.

  She often says she feels as if she was dreaming to think of the happy moments when she met him as an ordinary woman producing schoolbags.

  Keeping her honour deep in her mind, she is working hard to glorify her genuine life.

Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, gave field guidance at a major tank factory.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was accompanied by Jo Chun Ryong, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Jong Sik, first deputy department director of the WPK Central Committee, and other senior officials of the Party Central Committee, and Kim Yong Hwan, president of the Academy of Defence Sciences.

He was greeted by the officials of the factory on the spot.

Going round various places of the factory, he learned in detail about the state of production and modernization at the factory and the implementation of the research tasks for core technology of tank.

The Academy of Defence Sciences and the workers and technicians of the factory, that have made single-minded efforts to carry out the tasks put forth at the Eighth Congress of the WPK on setting it as the pivotal goal of the munitions industry to put the military hardware on an intelligent, precision and highly-efficient basis and on orienting all the processes of research, development and production to its implementation, are making remarkable progress and successes in developing our-style tanks and armoured weapons and improving their combat performance.

Kim Jong Un highly appreciated that thanks to the role of the guidance team of the Party Central Committee and the correct and expert guidance of the Academy of Defence Sciences, more development-oriented prospect has been opened up in the field of the tank industry and, in particular, the idea and policy of the WPK Central Military Commission on further perfecting the core technology of the main battle tank are being carried on through steady development and production success.

He stressed that to replace the armoured weapons of the last century in our ground forces with latest tanks and armoured vehicles is the most important task in building up the armed forces and modernizing the ground forces.

He expressed satisfaction over the fact that the field of the tank industry upgraded the structural design of our-style tanks and composition of their firepower system to improve the service convenience of the tank crew, proved the scientific accuracy and reliability of the design of high-thrust engine and provided a firm guarantee for serial production.

Saying that the travelling and different other manoeuvring characteristics of tanks were improved through the development of integrated power transmission device and the new-type active protection system, passive protection means and electronic warfare system were updated in a more innovative way, and that all these successes mean great progress in the core technology of our-style tanks, he highly praised the scientists and technicians for their feats.

Saying that today when the subjective and objective environment has changed, it is impossible to build the armoured forces properly unless we give a correct definition of the military functions and role of tank and direction of its development in modern warfare and reconsider the viewpoint on the tank design first of all, he clarified the main orientation of the modernization of tanks and the tasks and ways for it.

He said that to create a large-scale capacity for producing state-of-the-art tanks and self-propelled guns and upgrade the overall armoured weapon systems of our armed forces in a short span of time by stepping up the modernization of this munitions enterprise and relevant enterprises is an important task for realizing the far-reaching idea and strategic plan of the Party Central Committee for bringing about a second revolution in the armoured forces.

Saying that he supports the plan for modernizing all production lines of the factory in particular, he noted that the plan will be deliberated in real earnest.

He said that the factory, which occupies a key position in developing tank and armoured forces, should make steady technological progress and bring about an upsurge in production and, at the same time, become a model in establishing the culture of the munitions industrial sector in the new century by paying due attention to improving the labour and production environment on an advanced basis. -0-
