Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Congratulations to General Secretary of C.C., CPV

Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, sent a message of congratulations to To Lam, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, on February 3.

The message said:

I extend congratulations to you and, through you, to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and all its members on the 95th founding anniversary of the CPV.

With the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people were able to have their own reliable political staff and win victory in the struggle to achieve national independence and establish a socialist system.

I am pleased that the Vietnamese people are achieving remarkable successes in the struggle to build a rich and prosperous state under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

 The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) and the  Korean Friendship Association( KFA UK) issued the following joint statement in support of the press statement titled  "The most depraved country in the world is not entitled to take issue with other countries" that made a spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK ) on Sunday 2nd of February ;

The title of the press statement of the DPRK Foreign Ministry is very apt for indeed the United States is indeed a most depraved state were there are random murders , kidnapping ,homelessness , unemployment, poverty and corruption .

Recently , the new US secretary of state who is charged with the implementation of US foreign policy dared call the DPRK a "rogue state " ! . This is the height of impudence and temerity ! . As everyone knows the US is the biggest rogue state in the world . Even according to their own figures the US between 1991 and 2022 the US has carried out a whopping 251 military interventions ! How can the US call the DPRK a rogue state ?.As the DPRK Foreign Ministry comments "But it is necessary to mention how absurd and illogical it is that the most depraved state in the world brands another country a rogue state."

The DPRK Foreign Ministry correctly denounces and rejects the ill-famed remarks of Rubio which is an attempt to slander the DPRK and its socialist system and harm its reputation .

Basically , Rubio's remarks show the hostility of the US towards the DPRK continues and has not changed .

The DPRK Foreign Ministry rightly says "We will never tolerate any provocation of the U.S., which has been always hostile to the DPRK and will be hostile to it in the future, too, but will take tough counteraction corresponding to it as usual."

We also denounce the vile and provocative remarks of Rubio and resolve to more strongly support the DPRK against the hostile policy of the United States !

KCNA Report on Over-fulfillment of National Economic Plans for January

Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- The Korean Central News Agency on February 2 released a report on the fact that a mass innovation movement for creating new norms and records was launched in all sectors of the national economy, and many units over-fulfilled their economic plans for January.

According to the report, the torch of miraculous increased production, held aloft by the workers of the Sangwon Cement Complex, has developed into the flames of mass innovation movement across the country and new norms and new records have been created one after another in the overall national economy. In the course, the national economic plans for January were successfully fulfilled.

The Sangwon Cement Complex set a high goal to produce 10 times more cement than the increased production quantity in 2024 and registered the highest monthly production results since its inauguration through a collective innovation movement from the outset of the year, finishing the first monthly plan by January 28.

Workers of the Sunchon Cement Complex produced thousands of more tons of cement in the first 20-odd days of the year and the Chonnaeri Cement Factory carried out its high production plan.

The Sunchon Limestone Mine and the Manpho August 2 Cement Factory conducted the blasting of 200 000 and 100 000 cubic meter earth respectively to provide a sure guarantee for supplying much more cement to the grand construction theaters.

January production plans for pig iron, rolled steel and other major indices were fulfilled across the country, thanks to the efforts of workers in the field of metal industry.

Workers at the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex produced thousands of more tons of fertilizer in the first ten days of the year alone.

The Hungnam Fertilizer Complex has carried out its production plan at 110 percent every day.

The power production plan for January was carried out in the electric power industrial sector.

Coal miners across the country carried out their production plans for January at 104 percent by waging a dynamic socialist patriotic movement for increased coal production.

Officials and workers in the machine-building industry sector fulfilled their first monthly plans on indices.

The Ministry of Mining Industry successfully carried out its first monthly national economic plan.

The railway transport sector fulfilled its freight transport plan for January at 104 percent.

The monthly log production plan was fulfilled at 103 percent across the country.

The Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill fulfilled its January production plan. In the first ten days alone, more than 90 weavers of the mill carried out their monthly plans and 10-odd weavers their first quarterly plans.

Workers and technicians of the Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory, the Ryuwon Footwear Factory, the Wonsan Footwear Factory, the Pyongyang Leather Shoes Factory, the Sinuiju Footwear Factory and other factories set an example in fulfilling the production plans while concentrating efforts on the work to diversify the products in kinds, types and colors and make them lighter.

The fishery sector carried out its seafood production plan for January at 127 percent.

As a result, the January production target to attain major goals for the national economic development was hit through a vigorous drive for increased production to successfully conclude the final year in implementing the five-year plan. This made a breakthrough in bringing the miraculous successes this significant year marking the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea. -0-

Press Release of Institute for Disarmament and Peace of DPRK Foreign Ministry

Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- The Institute for Disarmament and Peace of the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea made public the following press release titled the "U.S. scheme to build a new missile defense system is a new 'Star Wars' plan seriously destroying the global security balance" on February 2:

The new U.S. administration's hegemonic attempt to maintain its military supremacy and stifle independent and sovereign states through reckless arms buildup has been clearly manifested from the first day of its office.

A typical example is that the U.S. made public shortly ago a plan to further expand the missile defense system, under the signboard of ensuring the security of the mainland and its allies from the ever-increasing "strategic threats" of its so-called rivals.

The U.S. new missile defense system plan sets a target for aggression to put spurs to the development and deployment of the next-generation missile defense network and space-based missile interception system capable of detecting and intercepting various kinds of missiles at the ascending stage and further strengthen the regional missile defense system in collusion with its allies.

The new missile defense system idea, suggestive of the departed soul of the dangerous "Star Wars" scenario mapped out by the U.S. in the Cold War era, has a danger as it justifies arms buildup under the pretext of coping with "threats" from its rivals, far from being feasible.

In the 1980s, the U.S. invented a "Strategic Defense Initiative" under the pretext of coping with the nuclear threat of the former Soviet Union, driving the whole world into a crucible of nuclear arms race. In 2002 it unilaterally withdrew from the ABM treaty under the pretext of "security of the mainland" and made frantic efforts to build a missile defense system targeting the independent and sovereign states including the DPRK.

Afterwards, the U.S. has spent an astronomical amount of money for the development of next-generation interceptor missiles and ground-based intermediate-stage interceptor missiles. It deployed various missile defense systems in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region and has sought a sinister intention to merge them into operation.

The present U.S. administration's attempt to modernize the missile defense system is also aimed to provide conditions for launching preemptive nuclear attack on the rivals without any worry about retaliatory attack by them and to turn outer space, a common wealth of the whole mankind, into a war theatre and militarize it and thus realize the U.S. military hegemony on a global scale.

The present U.S. administration has called for further strengthening the regional missile defense system with the allies, talking about the threat of attack by nuclear-armed rivals. This indicates that the U.S. moves for modernizing the missile defense system can be further intensified in the Asia-Pacific region where nuclear powers are concentrated.

It is as clear as noonday that the U.S. will get more pronounced in its moves to accelerate the development of hypersonic interceptor missiles being pushed forward with its allies including Japan and deploy more ultra-modern military hardware like THAAD in various regions including the ROK. This will inevitably touch off the security concerns of the regional countries.

The evermore-worsening global security environment urgently requires the DPRK to steadily develop its self-defensive capabilities with nuclear deterrent as a pivot capable of reliably defending the security and development rights of the state to cope with the ever-increasing U.S. attempt to hold military hegemony.

The DPRK will as ever counter the ever-increasing military threat of the hostile forces with the bolstering of military muscle free from limitations and defend global peace and build a more stable regional security environment by dint of the powerful self-defensive strength. -0-

Spokesman for DPRK Foreign Ministry Issues Press Statement

Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK released the following press statement titled "The most depraved country in the world is not entitled to take issue with other countries" on Feb. 2:

Recently, U.S. Secretary of State Rubio, in an interview with media, talked nonsense by terming the DPRK a "rogue state" while enumerating the foreign policy of the new U.S. administration.

The Foreign Ministry of the DPRK deems the U.S. State Secretary's hostile remarks to thoughtlessly tarnish the image of a sovereign state as a grave political provocation totally contrary to the principle of international law which regards respect for sovereignty and non-interference in other's internal affairs as its core and strongly denounces and rejects it.

In view of Rubio's political inclination and the U.S. inveterate repugnancy towards the DPRK, his speech is nothing new, and it would be more surprising if he had said good word about the DPRK.

But it is necessary to mention how absurd and illogical it is that the most depraved state in the world brands another country a rogue state.

The hostile words and deeds of the person who is in charge of the U.S. foreign policy served as an occasion of confirming once again the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK which remains unchanged.

Rubio's coarse and nonsensical remarks only show directly the incorrect view of the new U.S. administration on the DPRK and will never help promote the U.S. interests as he wishes.

We will never tolerate any provocation of the U.S., which has been always hostile to the DPRK and will be hostile to it in the future, too, but will take tough counteraction corresponding to it as usual. -0-

KCNA Commentary on U.S. Arms Support to Puppet ROK

Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- The U.S., the world's biggest war merchant, is getting more frantic in its arms sale to its vassal states than ever before.

According to the arms transfer and defense trade for fiscal 2024 data recently announced by the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. foreign military sales aimed at arms support to its allies in the last fiscal year reached 117.9 billion U.S. dollars, 45.7 percent increase over the previous fiscal year.

In this regard, the U.S. Department of State loudly claimed that it is the highest record of the annual foreign military sales to the allies.

That is very likely.

Last year the U.S. provided the Zelenskiy clique with a large amount of ultra-modern equipment, including long-range strike means, in order to reverse the military inferiority in the Ukrainian battlefield and expand the war in a sustainable way. It also handed over weapons of mass destruction to Israeli Zionists to instigate them to bloody massacres in the Gaza Strip.

If the weapons sold out by the U.S. to its allies in private, avoiding the eyes of the world people, are put together, the sales will reach an astronomical figure.

In retrospect, the U.S. has earned its geopolitical profit from turning various countries and regions of the world into hotspots and disputes by instigating its followers and worked at arms trade on a large scale under the pretext of "preventing disputes" to fill its money bags. It is the U.S. stereotyped method and selfish calculation method of killing two birds with one stone.

What merits attention is that the U.S. is getting ever more undisguised in its arms sale to the puppet ROK, top-class stooge and the first war servant.

A ceremony of handing over the U.S. latest sea-patrol planes took place in the puppet ROK in July last year. The U.S. approved the sale of latest attack helicopter AH-64E and related goods worth the 3.5 billion U.S. dollars to the puppet ROK in August and the sale of AWACS worth 4.92 billion U.S. dollars in November. All the facts go to prove that the U.S. moves to arm the ROK puppets with its weapons and drive them to confrontation and war with the DPRK are far beyond the danger level.

Such moves are going on in the new year, too. The U.S. officially notified the puppet ROK of two arms sales.

According to them, the arms sale includes the equipment worth a total of 170.6 million U.S. dollars including latest drones to be delivered to the puppet navy and the weapons parts 350 million U.S. dollars.

In this regard, the U.S. has long advertised that the introduction of weapons would make the puppet ROK “bolster up the deterrence and defense capabilities against threats” in the region.

The U.S. is getting more zealous in its huge arms support to the puppet ROK while talking about the so-called "improvement of security" and the "enhancement of military capabilities". Lurking behind this is the U.S. sinister intention to wreck the balance of strength in the region and consolidate its hegemonic position.

The puppet ROK has turned into a thoroughgoing anti-communist advanced base by the U.S., the most reactionary state entity regarding anti-communism as an invariable state policy. This reality clearly tells us which direction we should take, and what and how to do.

Any arms support of the U.S. can not save the puppet ROK from the destiny of the strategic inferiority, and the U.S. shameless and outrageous ambition for killing two birds with one stone which is getting ever more undisguised with each passing day will never be realized by the just strength of the DPRK. -0-

The great leader President Kim Il Sung took the momentous decision 77 years ago on the 8th of February 1948 to transform the guerrilla-based Korean People's Revolutionary Army into a regular and standing armed force the Korean People's Army.

For 76 years the KPA has stood guard over the socialist gains of People's Korea and defends the sovereignty of the DPRK. It is totally different to armies in imperialist and capitalist countries.
   The KPA is the unique Juche-based and Songun-based revolutionary armed force of the Korean people. It is an army of the people, an army of the revolution and an army of the working class and the Workers' Party of Korea.
 The great leader President Kim Il Sung, an ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander and gifted military strategist, put forward the line of building the army after the liberation of Korea and developed the Korean People's Revolutionary Army into the Korean People's Army, modern regular armed forces, performing the undying feats in the history of the building of the revolutionary armed forces.
                                                          

    With the foundation of the KPA, the Korean people came to have their own independent defence force safeguarding their independence.  Under the command of the great generals of Mt Paektu, President Kim Il Sung and generalissimo Kim Jong Il the KPA traversed the road of glory and victory. In the 1950s the KPA beat back the U.S. imperialists' invasion to swallow up the DPRK in its cradle and demonstrated the dignity and honour of the DPRK and Korean people during the Fatherland Liberation War.  Throughout the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s the regular revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK defended the gains of socialism and the independence of the  DPRK, inflicting defeats on the imperialists.
                      
                          

Our delegations have  witnessed the incredible steel-like unity and total discipline of the Korean People's Army at the military parades of April 2012, July 2013, October 2015, April 2017 and September 2018
