Passing Bell Sounds for American “Time of Hegemony”

In the wake of Afghan crisis, due comments are globally streamed out every day such as “collapse of American-style world”, “U.S.-led peace reaching a dead end”, “disintegration of American sphere of domination” etc, all suggesting that “time of hegemony” of the United States has come to an end.

A member of the Russian Federation Council commented on August 27 that “American-style world” had been established after the fall of Berlin Wall and the collapse of Soviet Union, but its hegemony is now doomed to destruction, and the U.S. “finally gave up its application for world domination”, having suffered the continuous political defeat in Afghanistan preceded by the ones in Iraq, Libya and Syria.

Earlier, one British commentator said that the United States, fielding its military troops in more than 150 countries, is following in the footsteps of the British Empire which had vanished into the history during the first part of 20th century, and the decline of American economy and the crisis in Afghanistan are apparently contributing to this symptom.

On August 25, head of policy research group in India pointed out that the fall of Kabul has served as a critical occasion to reveal the miserable fates of the countries dragged into the scramble of big powers for hegemony and at the same time, to testify to an imminent end of U.S.-led peace, contending that the “international appeal” of the U.S. has been torn into pieces, never to be recovered by any means.

A passing bell is sounding for the American “time of hegemony” buried at twilight.

Decline and fall of the United States – which has been mercilessly trampling underfoot the world peace and stability by wielding aggression, high-handedness and arbitrariness – are now an indisputable stark reality.

True Color of “Human Rights Defender”

Human rights are the sacred rights of social beings who desire to live and develop independently and creatively. Accordingly, those who embody genuine human rights are none other than the popular masses.

Every country should duly take its people’s interests as a starting point as well as a finish line of its human rights activities, and it should choose the road to promotion of human rights that suits its actual circumstances.

The United States and other Western forces, however, are undermining national unity and social stability of other countries, and seeking overthrow of their systems against anti-imperialist, independent countries under the signboard of “democracy” and “human rights.”

“Human rights” clamored by the U.S. and other Western countries are the privileges of the rich, which make anything possible with money. To these countries, ensuring the jobless the right to work and the people with no support and the children with no parents the rights to food and housing are not initially counted as human rights.

It has been reported that the number of homeless people amounts to 3.5 million, whereas there are as many as 18.5 million empty houses in the U.S.

This piece of fact that there are many empty houses yet cannot be provided to people is just enough to appreciate the actual situation of human rights in the U.S., which nevertheless behaves like “human rights defender”, “human rights judge.”

Over 100,000 persons annually immigrate to the U.S. from nearly 40 countries including India and Vietnam and the regions such as Africa and Central and South America. But they are subject to forced labor without protection of any labor law or regulation, becoming victims of poverty, racial discrimination and all other social evils.

It is absolutely preposterous that the U.S. is making nonsense about “human rights” situation in our country.

In our country, where people-first principle cuts across all the state policies, an office building of County Party Committee is turned into home of the people affected by sudden natural disasters, modern dwelling houses are built, by turning misfortune into fortune, to be all provided to the people, and orphans learn to their hearts’ contents and enjoy a happy life in a wonderfully built palace.

The increasingly desperate American attempts to orchestrate anti-DPRK “human rights” plots will only serve to magnify their futility and disclose the true color of the U.S. as hypocritical “human rights defender.”

What We Can Learn from the Reality of Afghanistan

The world is now quite disturbing as the U.S. is heaving sighs with lame excuses over the situation in Afghanistan that is spinning out of control beyond prediction and imagination of the international society.

When the whole world is criticizing and ridiculing the U.S. for the impropriety and vulnerability of its policy of strength, it is still straining to justify its inhumane policy of aggression insisting that it is to ensure “life safety” and “human rights” of the Afghans.

The U.S. insistence, in a word, is nothing but an absolutely unreasonable logic that its military aggression and domination can ensure “human rights” and “democracy”, but only “nightmare” and “misfortune” prevail when the U.S. loses its grip.

The U.S. makes it its business to interfere and commit aggressive war trampling underfoot sovereignty and dignity of sovereign states all over the world – is this really for the sake of human rights, democracy and counter-terrorism?

The circumstances behind Afghan war could be a good answer to this question.

After the September 11 incident, the U.S., playing on international “sympathy” focused on them, engineered the announcement of the UNSC president’s statement over the Afghan issue. After that, it brought up the agenda “International Terrorism Elimination Measures” before the plenary meeting of the 56th session of UNGA as a topic for discussion.

During its discussion, the U.S. depicted the war on terrorism as a “war of justice”, clamouring to punish the terrorists by all possible means. However, the majority of member states took explicit stand of zero tolerance to infringement upon sovereignty of other country which is committed under the pretext of punishing terrorism.

When its logic of aggression was met with opposition from the international society, the U.S. wielded power and resorted to arbitrariness to defiantly launch an armed invasion of Afghanistan in utter disregard of international law and the UN Charter.

The U.S. inflicted grievous deaths and sorrow of refugees upon numerous people by indiscriminate bombing and large-scale military operations. At the cost of this, the U.S. could have a grip on the strategic point in the region of south Asia where anti-U.S. states are concentrated, and at the same time it could have control over the petroleum and natural gas in the region of Caspian Sea.

Herein lies the true intention and purpose of the U.S., once so bent on assertion of “justice” and “counter-terrorism” before the world.

In Iraq, Sadam regime once stood in the van of OPEC states to reject dollar and to declare euro as its major currency for trade clearance. But it met its tragic end all of a sudden, being deprived of its more than 70 oil fields. The reality in Libya is that it is still suffering from an endless civil war. These tragic realities substantiate the fact that U.S. indeed is the main culprit wrecking global peace and security who does not scruple to commit aggression, massacre and plunder when it comes to its strategy of world domination and gangster like pursuit of its profits.

The reality reminds us of the philosophical principle once again that the world people and the international society should wage a resolute struggle against the U.S. acts of inhumane aggression in order to ensure genuine international justice and world peace.

To counter high-handedness and aggression with the might of justice and unity – this is the principle.

Marshal Kim Jong Un – the Benevolent Father of our Children

There is one appellation that echoes through this land in one voice.

Our father is Marshal Kim Jong Un!

It is a display of true feelings from the hearts of not only our children numbering millions but also from those of all our people across the country.

There are so many countries and as many leaders in the world. However, there is no such a leader in the world as our respected Marshal who is endowed with ardent love for and devotion to children as his natural disposition nor would there be any leader who takes so much pain and care for the children.

If the children, born and growing up on this land are well fed and raised healthy in a good environment from childhood, our society will be brimming over with as much vim and vigour in 20 or 30 years’ time and the national power of our Republic will gain in strength –  this is the noble intention of the respected Marshal.

The introduction of universal 12-year compulsory education system, up-to-date educational condition and environment, palaces built across the country for the children with no parents, the modern Okryu Children’s hospital, Mindulle (dandelion) notebooks, Sonamu (pine tree) schoolbags and school uniforms – all these issues related to children are permeated with the traces of warm love and devotion of the respected Marshal as well as his constant work for posterity.

The respected Marshal, thoughtful of the growth and development of children in their kindergarten age – an issue that even their own parents have not thought of as yet- saw to it that the policy be adopted of providing children throughout the country with nutritious food such as dairy products at state’s expense, and has exerted tireless, devoted and unheard-of efforts for its execution.

This has produced the heartwarming sight some time ago, the sight so inspiring not only for the nursery school caregivers and the parents but also for the whole city of Pyongyang when the dairy products were supplied to all children in nursery schools.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who has taken the measure of love warmer than fire for posterity and for our children even at difficult times when everything is scarce! It is because he considered the work for the coming generation as the top priority among all other matters of importance of the state and regarded the laughter and singing voices of our children as the vigorous sound of advance of our socialism.

Thanks to our respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is now writing with his innumerable pains and efforts the noble history of love for posterity and the future, our children, amid the song “We have nothing to envy in the world”, will grow up stalwart as pillars to the powerful Korea of the future, calling out that our father is Marshal Kim Jong Un.
