Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un Inspects Samjiyon County

Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, gave field guidance to Samjiyon County.

Supreme Leader of the Party, state and army Kim Jong Un walked round the township of Samjiyon County under construction to learn about how the construction is now underway.

The builders have made much progress in the project despite the cold weather in winter in the northern part of the country, he said, adding that the appearance of the township has changed so much in several months. He said in full conviction that if the construction is vigorously pushed forward at the current speed, the project could be finished by the appointed time as scheduled by the Party and that its prospect is clearly looking up.

He underlined the need to accurately set the monthly targets for each process and wage a dynamic struggle for completing the second-stage construction projects as planned without fail by inspiring all the builders, calling for responsible direction and supervision of the construction.

He visited the family of triplet sisters Jang Un Hye, Jang Chung Sil and Jang Po Dap who moved to a new house built in the township.

Being told about the fact that the triplet sisters left their native Pyongyang for Mt Paektu area to participate in the construction of Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station and settled down in Samjiyon County with a pure determination to spruce up Chairman Kim Jong Il's native county, he said that they are admirable, and praised their deed as excellent virtue and model of the young people produced by the times. Asking them to write a letter to him when they marry good men, he highly appreciated them for making an excellent decision to live a worthy life in their youthful days and gave them a pep talk.

He looked round the Samjiyon Blueberry Drink Factory and Samjiyon County Junior Middle School nearing completion.

He said that the construction of the factory and school as well as the dwelling house he just visited were perfect.

He gave field guidance to the Samjiyon Potato Farina Production Factory again.

He acquainted himself with the operation of the factory, including the installation of potato-processing facilities and the production of potato farina, making rounds of several workshops.

The Party has paid much effort to building the factory, so it is important to properly run it to be beneficial to not only the people in the county but also other people across the country, he said, and indicated the ways to improve the management and operation of the factory and its operation strategy.

Watching a large pile of potato farina amounting to thousands tons with a broad smile on his face, he said with great satisfaction that potatoes heaped up in storehouse last year were turned into a mountain of potato farina that looked great.

He said to leading officials of the headquarters of the construction of Samjiyon County and the provincial and county party committees and other officials accompanying him that the construction of Samjiyon County is a fierce class and political struggle against the hostile forces seeking to check the advance of the DPRK and that the victory in the construction would be a demonstration of its might and economic potentials.

He underlined the need to inspire the entire Party and the whole country as well as builders to perfect the construction of Samjiyon County till the 75th founding anniversary of the Party, so as to turn the county, the yard of the old home for the revolution, into a highly-civilized mountainous city, a typical county which no one can imitate and the richest county in the country.

Visiting People's Korea , the land of Juche , many times since 1992 , I witnessed the reality of the country which contrasted greatly with the lies and misinformation of the mass media  One thing that struck me deeply was the solidity , strength and durablity of socialism in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea .I had visited other socialist countries in the past and it was not so surprising they collapsed but here was a country that was different . Why ? . Some very ignorant people view the DPRK as the creation of the old Soviet Union or China or both , sadly this view is stil held by some people . Socialism in the DPRK is the socialism of Juche , it a socialism born of the Korean people who fought for independence under the leadership of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG . President KIM IL SUNG was the creator and builder of Juche-based socialism in the DPRK .
                                                         

  President KIM IL SUNG took up the armed struggle against the marauding,cruel and vile Japanese imperialists at an early age , forming revolutionary organisations such as the Down With Imperialism Union and the Anti-Japanese People's Guerilla Army .He made sure that the struggle for socialism ,for class emancipation was organically fused with the struggle for independence and national liberation saying that    "We are Koreans by nationality and Korean young people.We, the Korean youth , cannot merely sit back and remain onlookers while our beautiful land and beloved compatriots , our brothers and sisters , are being trodden underfoot and persecuted by the Japanese imperialists.We must drive them from our soil,liberate Korea and win independence.But , we cannot stop there.We are Communists. Communists cannot leave untouched  the evil landlords and capitalists who oppress and exploit  the proletarian masses.
 We,therefore must overthrow the capitalist system and build a socialist and communist society , the long cherished desire of the proletarian masses.These two revolutionary tasks are not foreign to each other.To carry out the proletarian revolution, it is essential to crush Japanese imperialism and achieve the liberation and independence of Korea , and then build a socialist and communist society in our land and help carry out the world revolution as well "

 After Korea's liberation in August 1945 President KIM IL SUNG led the DPRK along the road of Juche and self-reliance .The new People's Korea of Juche was no one's puppet and not a copy of another country .Some factionalists insisted that a bourgeois republic should be built in the liberated homeland ,at the other extreme others demanded an immediate socialist revolution and instant dictatorship of the proletariat . Comrade KIM IL SUNG refuted these arguments “The Korean revolution at the present stage is an anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution. We must follow the road of progressive democracy which suits the Korean situation—neither Soviet
democracy nor American ‘democracy’. The road of progressive democracy, this is the very line, the right road, for the Korean revolution at present".
                              

 Following the line of the anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution the great leader  President KIM IL SUNG founded  the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on the 9th of September 1948. Right from the first days of building a new country he stressed the need for an independent national economy .In the late 1950s the big power chauvinists and modern revisionists tried to subordinate the DPRK 's economy to their own by forcing the DPRK to join the old COMECON or CMEA . President KIM IL SUNG refused .The revisionists said that the DPRK should not develop heavy industry but instead should just produce minerals and agricultural products  and export them . Apparently Khrushcov , the arch revisionist and traitor , once offered to supply electricity to the DPRK but President KIM IL SUNG declined this saying that the revisionists would turn off the electricity if the DPRK expressed disagreement with them .The DPRK built a independent national economy with machine building at its core . It's growth was phenomenal , hitting 36 per cent per year during the late 1950s. This compelled the British economist Professor Joan Robinson to describe the DPRK as the Korean miracle .
                         

   President KIM IL SUNG also put forward original policies on a number of issues such as agricultural co-operatisation . Dogmatists tried to oppose agricultural co-operativisation by insisting on a dogmatic textbook approach saying that co-operativisation could only be carried if mechanisation was completed first . However President KIM IL SUNG said that if was the demand of the people then it should be carried out and he led the movement for co-operativisation. Co-operativisation was completed in the DPRK by 1958. The DPRK had 100 per cent socially owned agriculture whereas some socialist countries either left agriculture mostly in private hands or did not reach 100 per cent social ownership.
       President KIM IL SUNG's put forward correct , Juche -based policies that avoided both Right and left deviations. In the 1960s the international communist movement and socialist camp became badly split due to modern revisionism and the leftist backlash to it .Many socialist countries leaned to the Right and some others to the Left resulting in grave problems arising in socialist construction . Eventually some socialist countries that had followed the revisionist and Right opportunist road collapsed . President KIM IL SUNG said that  "Modern revisionism revises Marxism-Leninism and emasculates its revolutionary quintessence under the pretext of a 'changed situation' and 'creative development'. It rejects class struggle and the dictatorship of the proletariat; it preaches class collaboration and gives up fighting imperialism. Moreover, modern revisionism spread illusions about imperialism and in every way obstructed the revolutionary struggle of the peoples for social and national liberation.
       We must fight 'Left' opportunism as well as modern revisionism. 'Left' opportunists fail to take into account changed realities and dogmatically seek isolated propositions of Marxism-Leninism; they lead people to extremist action under super-revolutionary slogans. They also divorce the Party from the masses".
 Thus President KIM IL SUNG made sure that the DPRK did not fall into the trap of modern revisionism or Left opportunism or ultra leftism . He put forward Juche-based theories on the dictatorship of the proletariat , the economy , the complete victory of socialism .
  When some socialist countries went off the rails and went in for reform , opening up and perestroika , President KIM IL SUNG opposed it saying that ""The people's government must guard against the poisonous ideas of capitalism and revisionism and resolutely fight against all attempts to infringe upon the socialist system".
   He also warned against rashly opening up pointing out that "Careless opening may allow mosquitos and blowflies to fly in and cause damage. We must conduct exchanges and joint ventures with other countries, but we must pitch mosquito nets to prevent those insects from infiltrating".
    When other socialist countries collapsed like a sandcastle , the DPRK stood firm as a rock and did not go down . It maintained socialist principles when others abandoned them. Thanks to the Juche -based , original policies and lines , Korean style socialism in the most durable and is ever victorious  !

   The respected Marshal  Kim Jong Un was elected to the positions of First Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea on the 11th of April 2012 and First Chairman of the former National Defence Commission of the DPRK (now the State Affairs Commission ) on the13th of April 2012.  These momentous decisions placed dear respected comrade Kim Jong Un  at the head of the state,party and army and at the helm of the Korean revolution, basically the supreme leader of the DPRK.
 Dear respected Marshal  Kim Jong Un was democratically elected as supreme leader of the DPRK . It was a profound manifestation of the support , trust , respect and affection of the masses of Korean people and members of the WPK for him . Seeing many documentaries and videos of the on-the-spot guidance  of respected Marshal Kim Jong Un  we can tell that he is the most popular leader in the world and that the entire Korean people are united rock-solid behind the dear respected Marshal  Kim Jong Un and will win final victory under his masterly leadership.
   During the seven years of  his Supeme leadership   Dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un  has shown great energy , determination and dynamism in his roles . Project after project ,such as Mirae Scientists Street.  has been completed . Prosperity is rising and the Korean people under the leadership of dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un are rushing towards the goal of a thriving socialist country .He is a people's leader who always mixes with the people.Moreover he made the people-orientated principle the order of the day.
  Dear respected Marshal  Kim Jong Un has led the struggle to consolidate the monolithic unity of the WPK, to model it on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and defeated the anti-party counter-revolutionary factionalists . Now dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un is now leading the struggle to implement to the letter Kim Jong Il's behests without an inch of deflection and without a step of concession.
  Under the leadership of respected Marshal Kim Jong Un the line of building the economy and nuclear force in parallel was successfully concluded and the DPRK has embarked  on self-relianct socialist construction.
     Respected Marshal Kim Jong Un has also stressed the need for self-development and self-reliance thus rejecting imperialist slavery and is leading People's Korea along the path of militant anti-imperialism.The DPRK is the most independent country in the world , a fortress of independent Juche-based socialism .

KCNA Commentary Urges Japan to Make Thorough Reparation for Its Past Crimes

Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the UK officially returned to Ethiopia a relic it plundered in the last century.
Hailing the humble liquidation of past crimes, big or small, the international community again weighs Japan against Germany over the issue of liquidation.
Germany and Japan are war criminal states that inflicted untold misfortune and catastrophe upon mankind by igniting the Second World War and the Pacific War. After the wars, they committed themselves not to repeat the crimes before the international community.
More than seven decades have passed, but the international community has seen Germany and Japan with diametrically different records of performance.
Germany enacted a "federal law on compensation for the victims of Nazis" and has made systematic reparations for relevant countries, organizations and people in the wake of the Second World War.
On June 12, 2007, the "memory, responsibility and future fund" of Germany declared the completion of 7 years-long reparation to the victims of conscript labor forced by Nazis during the Second World War. Germany had paid nearly 64 billion € in total to fulfill all its reparations for the Second World War.
It also wound up making reparations for the First World War several years ago.
Its efforts considerably improved its international image and carried more weight in the international community.
Quite contrary to it, Japan has totally denied its past crimes.
After the war, it set it as a target of its policy to turn itself into a military giant and has worked hard to build the "Self-Defence Forces" into the one for overseas aggression, claiming that "its defeat in the Pacific War was attributable to its weak power".
Now, Japan has nearly 230 000 soldiers on active service and strengthened the maritime SDF to be capable of carrying out the strategy of "attack on ocean".
Japan swallowed up a lot of countries in the Asia-Pacific, forcibly drafted 200 000 Korean women and more than 8.4 million Korean people to battlefields and slave labor sites and killed more than one million Korean people in the past. Without making an admission, apology and reparation for its past crimes, it is on fire with anachronistic sanctions against the DPRK, committing double or treble crimes against the Korean nation.
Therefore, it is quite natural for the international community to be enraged with Japan for seeking a permanent membership of the UNSC whose mission is to preserve global peace and security.
If Japan fails to feel ashamed of its past crimes, it can never be trusted by the international community.
The priority facing the present Japanese politicians is to liquidate the past.

The International Central Committee for Songun Study is saddened to hear that  the poet Ahmed Kaiser who was general secretary of the Songun Politics Study Group of Bangladesh has passed away .
He worked tirelessly for solidarity with People's Korea , the land of Juche and Songun . For example he handed over 20,000 signatures of Bangladeshi peoples to support solidarity with DPRK to deputy ambassador of DPRK in Bangladesh
He wrote many poems on DPRK and great leaders. He wrote a book on DPRK and it was published by DPRK Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries .

    It is over  a quarter of a century since the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il was elected as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK , the highest office of state in the DPRK, on the 9th of April This was a  truly momentous event  as it marked the succession to the Juche revolutionary cause .The election as Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK  was a profound manifestation of the sublime respect and trust of the Korean people in the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il . It fully reflected the fact that the great  leader comrade Kim Jong Il was the successor to the Songun revolutionary cause pioneered by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung.
   Throughout the period of his chairmanship of the National Defence Commission comrade Kim Jong Il wisely carried forward the cause of Juche -orientated defence building .He wisely administered Songun politics in order to cope with the US imperialists attempts to stifle Korean-style socialism by force.
    During  the 18 years that he was chairman of the NDC the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il steered the DPRK through the difficult period of the 'arduous march' caused by the imperialist's attempts to stifle the DPRK and by recurrent natural disasters to a shining victory. His leadership also ensured the DPRK won victory in the 'war without gunshots' against the US imperialists facing down their attempts to subdue the DPRK through the so-called 'nuclear crisis'. Thanks to his leadership the DPRK has emerged as a strategic state.
   Thanks to the leadership of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il and Songun politics a breakthrough was made in the struggle for independent reunification in the form of the June 15 north-south joint declaration which heralded a new era.

Self-Reliance is Basic Principle of Revolution and Construction: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Monday says in an article that the ongoing general advance for opening a new road of advance for socialist construction is the great one of self-reliance for building the most powerful country on this land by dint of our own efforts, technology and natural resources.
Self-reliance is the fundamental principle to be firmly maintained in the revolutionary struggle and construction, notes the article, and goes on:
Though the atmosphere and condition of the revolutionary struggle may change along with the developing times and history, the principle of revolution that everything should be solved by one's own efforts remains unchanged.
The way of registering bigger success by accelerating the advance of the Korean revolution as planned and intended by the Party lies in holding more aloft the banner of self-reliance.
The popular masses should solve everything on the principle of self-reliance in a responsible manner to keep their position as the master of their destiny and adhere to their independent right and dignity.
