Victory in Economic Construction by Dint of Self-Reliance Called for

Pyongyang, May 14 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun on Monday in an editorial calls for paving a broad avenue to prosperity and bringing earlier the future of the building of a powerful socialist country by giving full play to the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance in implementing the decisions of the April Plenary Meeting of the Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee.

When all the people give fuller rein to the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude, a new strategic line of the WPK will surely emerge victorious and a great leap forward and innovations be made in socialist construction, the editorial says, adding:

All the officials, party members and working people should make a heroic epic of self-reliance in today's general march for economic construction and thus bring the plan and resolution of the Party Central Committee into a brilliant reality and fully demonstrate the invincibility of the DPRK and its spirit of leap forward.

One should have firm ideological readiness to achieve the final victory in the spirit of self-reliance.

Immutable is the truth of the Juche idea that one is the master of one's own destiny and has the power to carve out it.

Only the people strong in the revolutionary spirit to bear full responsibility for their own destiny and hew out it by themselves can become the final victors.

On the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the Kwangju uprising   the Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE) , UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA ) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP)   issued the following joint statement on the 38th anniversary of the Kwangju Uprising;
  38 yeas ago  the residents of Kwangju city south Korea on the 18th of May 1980 rose up against the rotten and reactionary corrupt rule of the south Korean fascist puppet regime of Chun Du Hwan and the colonial domination of US imperialism over south Korea. The Kwangju uprising was a brave and heroic manifestation of the anti -fascist, anti- imperialist struggle of the south Korean popular masses and revolutionaries led by the Revolutionary Party for Reunification , the forerunner of the present Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front of south Korea.
  On the 22nd of May  the spokesman  of the Revolutionary Party for Reunification issued a statement to support the armed mass uprising of patriotic people in South Cheolla Province including Mokpo following Kwangju on May 18, denouncing the cruelty of the Chun Doo-hwan clique which declared the martial law.
    The Kwangju uprising, which lasted 9 days , added a new chapter to the history of the struggle of the south Korean people for independence ,democracy and reunification .  The participants of the Kwangju uprising showed remarkable courage and determination in the face of intense fascist repression by the south Korean puppet reactionaries and the Yankee imperialists.
    The Kwangju uprising was a great inspiration to the peoples of the third world struggling against neo- colonialism and dictatorial regimes and it was a great example to anti- imperialist and anti -fascist fighters throughout the entire world . The Kwangju up risers fought bravely against the suppression of the armed forces of the south Korean puppet regime backed by the US imperialist aggression troops . The blood they shed was not in vain as one day their deaths will be avenged.
    The Kwangju uprising proved beyond doubt that independence and social change cannot come peacefully , that counter-revolutionary violence must be defeated  by revolutionary violence.
   On the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the Kwangju uprising we salute the heroic spirit of the Kwangju uprisers .The struggle for the full democratisation of south Korea including the abolition of the National Security Law. should be stepped up an expanded. The US troops who are the exploiters and oppressors of the south Korean people must be expelled from the soil of south Korea. Only when this happens can the spirits of the Kwangju uprisers finally rest in peace !.
    We support the struggle of the south Korean people , led by the Anti Imperialist National Democratic Front of south Korea (AINDF) the one and only popular vanguard,for independence ,democracy and reunification and the struggle of the south Korean people against the Yankee imperialists the sworn enemy of the Korean people.

 The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE) ,the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for the Peace and Reunification in the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement in support of the appeal of the Central Committee of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front of south Korea made on Thursday 10th of May 2018;
  The Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front of south  Korea (AINDF), the patriotic vanguard of the south Korean people which fights for the independent reunification of Korea , has issued an appeal in support of the Panmunjom Declaration of the 27th of April .
   The appeal notes that respected Marshal KIM JONG UN is the supreme leader of the Korean nation and that he is the great creator of new reunification history . This is indeed true because without the leadership of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN the April 27th Panmunjom Declaration would have been impossible, it simply would not have happened. Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN is bringing peace to the Korean nation and the whole world .
   The Appeal very correctly stresses that National Independence is the very core of the Panmunjom
declaration . A reunified Korean nation must be a totally independent one , without any outside influence .
    Moreover the Appeal states that the danger of war should be removed and that no  military provocation, reckless deployment of strategic assets and war manoeuvres which endanger peace should be allowed  ! There must be struggle against imperialist war moves !
 Our organisations strongly support the Appeal of the AINDF Central Committee as it will accelerate the struggle the struggle for independent reunification . Furthermore we believe that more publicity should be given to the struggle of the AINDF and that the Juche-orientated patriots and revolutionaries of south Korea should receive more support from the world progressive movement.

Now the Korean nation in the north, south and abroad is hailing the third inter-Korean summit and the adoption of Panmunjeom Declaration. But only conservative group is casting a vicious slur on it and disturbing the atmosphere of inter-Korean relations.

As for the successful Panmunjom summit meeting, the opposition Liberty Korea Party and its head Hong Joon-pyo are busying themselves in playing down its meaning and success while claiming "it is no more than the south-north camouflaged peace offensive"

The south Korean conservative group is malignantly slandering the Panmunjom Declaration published at the Panmunjom summit meeting, claiming it is "a press release written on words of the north" and "it is nothing but a feast of words."

Not content with this, the group is crying out for resolutely checking the authorities' intention to make the Panmunjeom Declaration be ratified at the "National Assembly", saying that "it is incoherent", "it is an act of deceiving conscience" and "it is an intolerable thing".

In this regard, democratic force and people of every degree deride the conservative force’s impudence and ignorance.

Saying that as long as the conservative group is allowed to go at large, neither national reconciliation nor unity can be achieved nor peace and prosperity are ensured, the south Korean people of various circles turn out in the drive to punish the conservative group.

The third inter-Korean summit and the adoption of Panmunjeom Declaration were a great event of the Korean nation which opened up radiant vistas for repairing inter-Korean relations and achieving national reunification. They are impressed by the exciting fact that Chairman Kim Jong Un crossed freely the dividing line between the north and the south at Panmunjeom with President Moon Jae-in hand in hand, he led the meeting and talks with composure, he made speech woven with excellent composition and he met members of the south side with an easy familiarity.   Many stories and poems in praise of Chairman Kim Jong Un have been posted on internet homepages of south Korea and other countries.  The south Korean people are acclaiming Chairman Kim Jong Un, who brought about a turning-point in developing inter-Korean relations and opened up a new history of independent reunification, as the leader of the nation, lodestar of national reunification and the leader promoting national co-prosperity.

Japan Should Clear Its Dirty Past: KCNA Commentary

Pyongyang, May 12 (KCNA) -- The whole world is zealously welcoming the coming DPRK-U.S. summit as the first step toward promotion of the positive situation development and building of bright future.

However, only Japan goes against this trend. Prime Minister Abe and other Japanese politicians are letting out a load of rubbish, crying out for "strict maintenance of the existing policy of pressure through international cooperation".

They are hurling mud at the DPRK over the "issue of abduction". The minister of Japan in charge of abduction issue recently slandered the DPRK, asserting "abduction is just like terrorism." The chief Cabinet secretary cried out for "putting maximum pressure on north Korea to tackle the abduction issue" in the international arena.

It seems that Japan is speaking of funerals when the talk is of marriage. The reactionaries of Japan are hyping the "issue of abduction" which had already been settled. This is just a mean and foolish behavior to stem the trend of peace on the Korean peninsula at any cost although it is unanimously hailed by the international community.

It seems that nothing has changed on the part of Japan.

When the nuclear issue of the Korean peninsula was under discussion ten years ago, Japan touched on the "issue of abduction" in the framework of multilateral diplomacy which was arranged with much effort, only to cause complexity. Such behavior came under worldwide criticism.

The DPRK-Japan relations are, in essence, the relations between victim and assailant. So, the assailant is obliged to make an apology and reparation enough to persuade the victim. This is just the point of the issue.

In the past century the Japanese imperialists deprived Korea of its sovereignty by breeding sly plots. They abducted and drafted a lot of Koreans to drive them to the sites of slave labor and wars of aggression, massacred more than one million Koreans and enforced the sexual slavery for their imperial army to make two hundred thousand Korean women sexual "preys" for its lecherous soldiers.

Each page of the history of Japan's past crimes is stained with blood shed by Koreans. The loss of manpower, material and cultural damage, loss of spiritual and moral wealth suffered by the Korean people due to the imperialists were so great that Japan can not fully indemnify for them although it offers its whole country to the Korean nation.

Nevertheless, Japan is now noisy about the "issue of abduction" against the positively developing situation on the Korean peninsula. Behind it is its sinister design to get someone's "sympathy" and evade the redemption of its past after getting rid of its wretched plight of "being alienated" in the handling of the international politics centered on the Korean peninsula.

Passing Japan is being caused by the Abe regime itself as it is politically short-sighted.

Japan should drop the idea that everything would go as intended by it.

It can never convince others if it fails to have the willingness to completely clear its dirty past.

Detailed Report on Kim Jong Un's Feats for National Reunification

Pyongyang, May 12 (KCNA) -- The Reunification and Publicity Bureau of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country of the DPRK Saturday released a detailed report on the exploits of the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who ushered in a new era of national unity and reunification, peace and prosperity.

The report said that the respected Supreme Leader in his New Year Address advanced a decisive policy for bringing about a thaw in the frozen north-south relations, due to the hideous anti-DPRK sanctions and pressure and war moves of the anti-reunification bellicose forces at home and abroad, and took a series of practical measures for its materialization.

Thanks to the patriotic steps taken by him, the ship Mangyongbong-92 carrying the Samjiyon Orchestra of the DPRK going to the south side area for performance in celebration of the 23rd Winter Olympics arrived at Mukho Port of south Korea on February 6. The next day a delegation of the National Olympic Committee, cheering squad, Taekwon-Do demonstration group and a press corps of the DPRK entered an area of Kangwon Province of south Korea overland along the West Sea of Korea.

The Samjiyon Orchestra sent by the respected Supreme Leader performed in Kangrung and Seoul and the activities of the DPRK players team and cheering squad made the whole of south Korea seethe with the compatriotic feelings and the zeal for national reunification.

The Taekwon-Do demonstration group fully demonstrated the wisdom and strong spirit of the Korean nation, advantages and might of its traditional martial art, to be greatly applauded by the spectators.

The high-level delegation of the DPRK visited south Korea to take part in the opening ceremony of the 23rd Winter Olympics. It marked an important occasion in demonstrating the unshakable will of the DPRK to achieve national reconciliation and unity and develop the north-south relations.

The respected Supreme Leader dispatched a high-level delegation of the DPRK to the closing ceremony of the 23rd Winter Olympics on February 25. In March he sent a delegation and a players team of the DPRK to the Winter Paralympics hosted by south Korea. This powerfully and again demonstrated the fixed will to achieve national reconciliation and mend the north-south relations.

He invited personages and artistes of south Korea to Pyongyang to usher in a heyday of national concord and reunification by further developing the north-south relations. He showed warm solicitude for them and saw to it that the atmosphere of national reconciliation and unity would grow stronger.
