Appeal Made by AINDF Central Committee

Pyongyang, May 12 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front made public an appeal on Thursday to encourage the south Koreans to implement the "Panmunjom Declaration on Peace, Prosperity and Reunification of the Korean Peninsula", according to the internet homepage Kuguk Jonson.
Noting that the April 27 Panmunjom shock is steering the people's minds and garnering the world's cheers, the appeal said:
The respected Chairman of the State Affairs Commission Kim Jong Un is a great creator of new reunification history, pillar of all the fellow countrymen's hope and the bright sun shining the land of the south and the north of Korea.
Let's demonstrate the pride and honor of having him as the supreme leader of the nation to the whole world!
Let's invariably follow him, the peerless patriot, as the loadstar of national reunification.
National independence is the basic core of the Panmunjom Declaration.
Let's build a dignified reunified power on this land by the efforts of our nation itself without fail, true to the Panmunjom Declaration, fruition of warm love for the nation and invariable will of independence!
Peace, prosperity and reunification common to the nation can be achieved only by the concerted efforts of the fellow countrymen.
Let's swim with the triumphant trend to realize the nation's great cause of peace, prosperity and reunification, irrespective of the progressive and the conservative, class and strata, ideal and religious belief!
To remove the danger of war and ensure peace and security on the Korean peninsula is an important matter related to the destiny of our nation and indispensable prerequisite to its reunification.
Let's never allow any military provocation, reckless deployment of strategic assets and war maneuvers which endanger peace and security on this land!
Each of our people and members of our nation is the master of the era and maker of history whom nobody can substitute.
The appeal stressed that a reunified powerful nation would surely emerge when all the fellow countrymen turn out in implementing the Panmunjom Declaration like an active volcano, true to the bright sun of the nation.

 The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE) ,the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for the Peace and Reunification in the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement concerning the revelations about the abduction of restaurant workers in April 2016
 It has recently been revealed that the 12 DPRK restaurant workers were in fact really abducted and forced against their will into going to south Korea in April 2016.  A report on Reuters said that
 " Four of the 12 waitresses from the Ryugyong Korean Restaurant in China told the South Korean television network JTBC they had been forced to give their written consent to defect inside the South Korean embassy in Malaysia after being threatened by their manager.
"If we didn't sign our names, he threatened he would turn us over to the security police in North Korea for watching South Korean television dramas and I had no choice," one of the women said.
"I wish I could take that decision back " furthermore it revealed that  " The restaurant manager, Heo Gang-il, told the television station he had been working with South Korean intelligence agents and had threatened the women if they did not join him in defecting.
Heo said he had lied to the women about their destination, adding he was speaking out after the South's National Intelligence Service (NIS) failed to keep a promise to give him a job and a medal."
  So the truth has finally come out . Basically the waitresses were abducted against their will by the south Korean puppet fascist National Intelligence Service  ! This is a shameful and criminal action by the present south Korean authorities .
 We demand the waitresses are repatriated to the DPRK , to join their families at once  !

Vigorous action for building a reunified nation

The Korean nation significantly celebrated the May Day, international holiday of the working people the world over, amid their action to build a reunified country. North Korean workers marked the May Day at a time when they are working eye-opening miracles in building a prosperous nation.   Broad segments of south Korean working people celebrated the May Day with their will to attain independence, democracy and the right to live by the united efforts of the working class and to write a new history of peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula. A rally was held at Seoul Square on May 1 with the attendance of more than 10 000 members of the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions. The speakers stressed the need to fight it out for the revision of the labor law, abolition of part-time jobs, conglomerate reform and the abolition of other labor evils and for the provision of the right to labor. They urged to stop the structuring which deprives workers of their jobs and to turn part-time jobs into full-time jobs and immediately raise the lowest wage. The organization waged a demonstration along the downtown after the rally. The Korean Federation of Trade Unions sponsored marathon rally with the attendance of its unionists and part-timers. It called for providing workers with good jobs and building society where labor is respected. Now the south Korean workers from all walks of life are launching a widespread campaign for national independence, peace and reunification in the spirit of toppled down the Park Geun-hye regime on the strength of candlelight resistance.   Thanks to the proactive step and sincere efforts of north Korea, the historic third inter-Korean summit and the publication of Panmunjeom Declaration, a wide avenue to independence, peace, inter-Korean relationship and national prosperity is being opened.   The working people of the north and the south of Korea should wage a vigorous action for accomplishing the cause of national independence and national reunification under the banner of the Korean nation itself. The north and south Korean workers should stand in the van of widespread action and resolutely foil all anti-reunification moves wrecking peace and obstructing independent reunification by dint of their unity. The dawn of reunification will surely come true only when the workers and people make a steady progress hand in hand.

KCNA Commentary on Fruition of DPRK's Peace Policy

Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- The historic Panmunjom meeting and talks between the top leaders of the north and the south of Korea and the April 27 Declaration are welcomed and fully supported by the whole world.

South Koreans from all walks of life and the whole world praise the event as "a new history of peace created by the bold decision of Chairman Kim Jong Un" and "historic event that provided a great turning point for the inter-Korean ties and peace on the Korean Peninsula". The Washington Post said that the present climate in the peninsula was attributable to Chairman Kim Jong Un and that it was the result produced by his self-confidence.

Even the U.S. president welcomed the event, saying that it is very glad news for the whole world including the north and the south of Korea.

This shows that the recent north-south summit and the Panmunjom Declaration are an epoch-making event guaranteeing peace and security in the peninsula and the region, and meet the interests of the U.S.

As already known, it is the invariable stand of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government to struggle for peace and security of the Korean peninsula and the world.

Thanks to the will and efforts of the Party and the government of the DPRK to end the history of confrontation in the peninsula and make a proactive contribution to regional security and global peace, active measures such as policy of making a great switchover in the north-south relations were taken one after another early in January this year.

The international community recognizes that those measures were the ones the north had long prepared and took as a strategic option to overcome the crisis in the peninsula, irrespective of the U.S.-led sanctions against the north and the examination of military action against it by the Trump administration.

The inter-Korean summit and declaration welcomed by the world are the priceless fruition of the DPRK's policy of defending peace.

This being a hard reality, such nonsense as "result of maximum pressure" and "option chosen at the limit" is heard from within the U.S. administration.

Such nonsense is a sophistry that can be made only by those with the Cold War way of thinking.

Such rude remarks may reverse the situation in the peninsula to the original one.

The U.S. should bear in mind that it will confirm to the demand of the world community and to its own interests to show etiquette and sincerity to its dialogue partner. -0-

KCNA Commentary Calls for Maintaining Principle of National Independence

Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- Strong enthusiasm for national reunification is running high across the 3 000-ri land of Korea after the April 27 special event in Panmunjom.

All Koreans in the north and the south and abroad ardently hope that the eye-opening reality will lead to genuine peace and reunification.

The international community is unanimously hailing and supporting the adoption of the April 27 Declaration, the most realistic and reasonable, the core of which is the idea of By Our Nation Itself, the principle of national independence, and which are suitable to the will and desire of the whole Korean nation and aspiration of the progressives after peace and reunification of the Korean peninsula.

The great event in national history which brought about a turning phase in accomplishing the cause of independent reunification is a precious fruition of the firm will of the top leaders of the north and the south to put an end to division and confrontation as soon as possible and thus courageously usher in a fresh era of national reconciliation and peace and prosperity and the concerted efforts of the north and the south.

However, foolish remarks that the event is an "effect of sanctions and pressure" and "result of the support by Trump and neighboring countries" are heard from some of south Korea. They are seriously contrary to the principle of national independence confirmed by the north and the south in the Panmunjom Declaration stipulating that the destiny of the Korean nation is decided by itself.

It is absurd to assert that the great event in which Panmunjom Declaration came into being was attributable to "support" by outsiders.

The world now clearly understands how the north and the south could make concerted efforts to provide the excited reality as it is on the Korean peninsula plagued with touch-and-go situation.

During the historic north-south summit, the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and President Moon Jae In planted a pine tree at Panmunjom, with a mixture of soils from Mts Paektu and Halla and water from the Rivers Taedong and Han, to the effect that the north and the south should work hard to pave the future in the staunch spirit like ever-green pine tree.

Nobody can find fault with the initiative and independent measures of the DPRK to develop the trend of improving the north and the south on the principle of national independence and thus create the peaceful climate on the Korean peninsula and make a new history of prosperity.

The principle of independence is essential for the settlement of national issues as well as for the great unity of the whole nation.

Only when the great unity of the whole nation is achieved on the principle of independence, can the Korean nation be responsible for its destiny and become the great driving force and decisive force of national reunification and prosperity.

The Korean nation is no longer weak nation in the past that was deprived of sovereignty and country by foreign forces, but it is a resourceful and strong nation capable of carving out its destiny by its own effort.

It is not accidental that the international community comments that if the north and the south of Korea are reunified into one, it will "emerge one of the most powerful countries on the earth".

The issue of national reunification should be solved independently in keeping with the desire and demand of the nation, free from the domination and interference by outsiders. This is a lesson drawn from the Korean nation's history of division spanning more than 50 years.

If the principle of national independence is not maintained, it will be impossible to improve the inter-Korean relations in line with the will and demand of the whole nation. -0-

Kim Jong Un Meets Xi Jinping Again

Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, visited Dalian City of China from May 7 to 8 to meet again Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and president of the People's Republic of China.

The meaningful meeting and talks between the supreme leaders of the two countries took place in Dalian City, Liaoning Province, China.

Kim Jong Un left Pyongyang by plane for his personal use on the morning of May 7.

He was accompanied by Ri Su Yong and Kim Yong Chol, members of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK and vice-chairmen of the C.C., WPK, Ri Yong Ho, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK and foreign minister, Kim Yo Jong, alternate member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK and first vice department director of the C.C., WPK, Choe Son Hui, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs; and members of the C.C., WPK and the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK.

Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the C.C., CPC and member of the Secretariat of the C.C., CPC, Wang Yi, state councilor and foreign minister, Song Tao, head of the International Liaison Department of the C.C., CPC, Chen Qiufa, secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the CPC, and Tan Zuojun, secretary of the Dalian City Committee of the CPC, were present at Dalian International Airport to greet him.

At noon of local time the plane landed at the airport.

Kim Jong Un alighted from the plane to shake hands with pleasure with those officials and exchanged kind greetings.

A woman presented a bunch of flowers to him and offered him greetings.

He expressed thanks and got on his car to head for Bangchuidao Guesthouse.

When he arrived at the guesthouse, its employees warmly greeted him.

There took place a meeting and talks between Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping in the afternoon.

Xi Jinping came to Dalian and kindly greeted Kim Jong Un.

Kim Jong Un had a warm and emotional meeting with Xi Jinping and had a souvenir photo taken with him.

The top leaders of the two countries exchanged warm salute, pleased to meet again after the lapse of over one month.

Then there took place talks between Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping.

At the talks the two sides informed each other of the assessment and views on the recent trend and the development of the situation on the Korean peninsula on which global highlights are focused, and of the political and economic conditions of each country and stressed the need to more wonderfully promote the DPRK-China friendly and cooperative relations. And they had an in-depth exchange of views on the way to tackle the crucial issues of mutual concern.

Kim Jong Un expressed his thanks to Xi Jinping for sparing time to come to Dalian and warmly greet him and providing the best convenience with utmost sincerity despite his tight political schedule.

He said he was very pleased that the DPRK-China relations have recently greeted a fresh heyday and are undergoing further development.

He, in particular, highly appreciated that the close high-level visits between the two parties and the two countries and the strategic communication between the supreme leaderships of the DPRK and China are underway on an unprecedented level.

In those days the DPRK and China have become all the more close and inseparable in their inner feelings, he said, hoping to expand the friendly visits between the two countries and keep the close contacts in a flexible and diverse manner in the future, too.

He analyzed and estimated the development of the situation around the Korean peninsula undergoing profound changes and mentioned the ways to more actively and closely boost the tactical cooperation between the DPRK and China by using the strategic opportunity.

He expressed gratitude to the Chinese comrades, saying that their firm support and encouragement and comradely cooperation greatly encourage the party and people of the DPRK.

Xi Jinping said that Kim Jong Un's visit showed the sincere willingness to set much store by the relations between the two parties and the two countries, trust him and the Chinese party and put into practice the consensus reached between them, and spoke highly of it.

Expressing his pleasure over the positive developments being made in the China-DPRK relations and in the situation of the Korean peninsula after Kim Jong Un's first visit to China in March last, he expressed thanks once again to Kim Jong Un for personally visiting China again to promote and coordinate the mutual understanding of the two parties and the two countries.

Saying that the two countries of China and the DPRK are the community of the same destiny and their relations are the invariable ones of lips and teeth, he said that it is the firm stand and the only correct option for the two parties and governments to consolidate and develop the China-DPRK relations no matter how frequently the situation changes.

Hailing the new strategic line set forth by the Workers' Party of Korea on channeling all efforts on the socialist economic construction at the Third Plenary Meeting of the 7th WPK Central Committee, he expressed the conviction that the cause of socialist construction in the DPRK would surely emerge victorious under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

The visit paid by Kim Jong Un fully showed the fact that he and the Korean Party Central Committee highly value the China-DPRK relations, the strategic communication between the two parties, in particular, and the firm will to implement the important joint agreement reached between the two sides, he said, stressing that this demonstrated once again the traditional and solid China-DPRK friendship to the whole world and will certainly have important impact on the China-DPRK relations and the situation of the Korean peninsula.

Xi Jinping said that he, together with the Korean comrades, would continue to implement well the important agreement between the two sides, strengthen the strategic communication, expand exchanges and cooperation, give full play to the tradition of friendship and thus promote the fresh and greater development of the China-DPRK relations, provide happiness to the two countries and the two peoples and make active contributions to the regional peace, stability and prosperity.

He continued to say that he is convinced that the Korean party and people would steadily achieve fresh and greater successes in the great course of socialist construction under the wise guidance of Chairman Kim Jong Un, and wishes for it.

Expressing great pleasure over the fact that he again had a significant meeting with Xi Jinping and the friendly Chinese comrades in a little more than 40 days and exchanged their inmost feelings, he expressed his most heartfelt thanks to the warm and cordial hospitality and warm-hearted concern shown by the Chinese Party Central Committee.

Noting that he feels again the pride and self-confidence of having such a great neighbor as China and such dependable and true friends as Chinese comrades, he said that he would advance hand in hand with the close Chinese comrades in the long historic course of achieving peace and prosperity in the Korean peninsula and Northeast Asia and building a fair and just new world in the future.

Kim Jong Un sincerely hoped that the Chinese people would certainly bring into a brilliant reality the dream of China unfolded by Xi Jinping and thus fully demonstrate the might and stamina of the Chinese nation all over the world.

Amicable atmosphere pervaded the banquet hall where officials of the two countries shared with each other warm and sincere feelings and the pleasure of meeting just like the same family members, beyond the diplomatic etiquette and ceremony.

On Tuesday morning Kim Jong Un again met with Xi Jinping and talked without reserve while strolling the seaside.

Then Kim Jong Un was invited to a luncheon hosted by Xi Jinping at Qingdao Pavilion of Bangchuidao Guesthouse.

Before the luncheon Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping appreciated the skills showing the tea culture and had an important talk.

The luncheon helped further deepen the particular comradely intimacy between the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries.

After the luncheon, Kim Jong Un expressed once again the gratitude to Xi Jinping for according particular hospitality with utmost sincerity during his stay in China and for expressing sincere and valuable opinions on the crucial work, and shook hands with him before parting.

Some suite members visited Dalian Donggang Downtown and Hualu Group of China that day.

Kim Jong Un wound up his schedule on Tuesday afternoon and left Dalian by his plane.
